Kazu looked up at the owner when she mentioned teaching her how to fight. There were practically stars in her eyes.

Yes! Oh my gosh yes please!”

She would take any opportunity to better her fighting technique. She wasn’t sure what this woman could teach her, but she didn’t doubt that she could learn something.

“Don’t worry; I don’t plan on getting bloody again any time soon,” she said, vaguely boasting. She didn’t actually get bloody very often (with her own blood, at least). The guy from this morning had just gotten a lucky hit and her mask had done most of the damage.

Kazu became a little wary when a human entered the shop, and even more nervous when she recognized this human as a celebrity. She didn’t know much about the woman, but she had seen her face around. The others seemed to be comfortable around her, at least.

Kazu just looked back at her book, still excited at the prospect of having a fight coach.

When Ruby and Cal reached the basement, she tried to shake off her discomfort. First impressions are important, don’t let your weird hangups screw you up.

She turned to her partner, putting on a confident face, “Alright, let’s find this guy!”

She could vaguely hear shuffling and moaning coming from somewhere, but she couldn’t pinpoint the direction.

i'm into this! (´。• ω •。`)
i'm interested! never actually done a tabletop rp before (besides regular D&D) but the concept is wonderful

“Heh, yeah. Just got here yesterday. This is way more exciting than anything that ever happened in Ipswitch.”

Holly was quiet as the group made their way through the sewers and back to the surface. She was a bit too lost to question getting into a van with a bunch of strangers. Then, the final occupant entered and the van was flying.

Holly nearly relaxed, but the girl in the hoodie showed the group a projectile heading towards them.

Great. Awesome.

It looked like Holly had been tasked with protecting the van from debris.

Wonderful. Yay.

“Okay. I’ll d-do my best.”

Holly closed her eyes and covered her ears in order to focus on her task. She tried to feel out the edges of her range and found them well outside the vehicle. Apparently the van didn’t count as a “room.” She had no idea how that distinction was made, but at least the Powers That Be were on her side this time.

She pushed all irrelevant thoughts out of her mind and sent a powerful STOP out as far as her power could reach.

Holly braced herself and hoped she would be enough.

"NOW YOU'RE PLAYING WITH POWER"

Holly’s attempt at preventing disaster had actually sort of worked, apparently. They were still stuck between a wall and a huge fucking dragon, though. So the situation was still pretty dire.

When a portal opened up in the wall, Holly jumped back and let out an incredibly embarrassing squeak. She immediately covered her mouth and blushed, glaring at Mandy, who was laughing at her. At least these people were on the same side as the woman protecting them, so Holly could assume they weren’t going to be hostile.

They brought a way out. Holly almost couldn’t believe it.

Struggling to breathe through the smoke, the sisters didn’t spare a moment to think about it before jumping through the portal into the sewers.

Mandy broke the silence between them, “So… welcome to Boston?”

Holly laughed, and just kept laughing.
