Nanoha couldn't avoid noticing when the monsters that they defeated turned into piles of ash much similar to the ones they found when they first arrived at this location. There was only one logical conclusion that she could come up with, especially since the ash they found was arranged in a pattern that suggested that a previous battle happened here not long ago. Other extradimensional beings must have fought and defeated these monsters here.

However, this conjecture didn't answer two important questions: Who did this and where are the people that should inhabit this area?

Nanoha didn't have much time to think about it before more creatures crept on her, breaking through the walls of nearby buildings. A couple Smash Impacts (i.e.: using Raising Heart as a mana fueled club) later and Nanoha cleared the area around her once more. Right in time for Tenshi to deliver their first solid clue on this investigation.

"Is that what we are supposed to look for? If that's the case, leave it to me," Nanoha said as she took high to skies, stopping once she had a clear sight of the whole operation area. "Raising Heart, please, calculate the target's positions based on the last Area Search," she said as a magic circle appeared below her feet.

"Targets acquired, Master."

"Thank you, Raising Heart."

"Here we go, Accel Shooter: Vanishing Shift..." Nanoha said as several magical bullets appeared in the air around her. Each of them locked on the location of the electronic devices that were emitting the same signals as the mobile phone that Tenshi brought earlier. "Shoot!" she called, unleashing the barrage of homing attacks. Hopefully, this would end this engagement in one fell swoop.

Yeah, I'm willing to. I've been looking to partner Emilia up with either a Caster or Assassin preferentially and your choice of Caster is pretty much perfect for her. As long as your character is accepted by the GMs, you can count on me.

Also, if you allow me to say something. It would be more beneficial for your Master if they had at least some knowledge of general Magecraft, or at least Formalcraft alone. With just Runes you can't even feel active spells or even cast a proper Summon Servant ritual since that's supposed to be Formalcraft spell.

The most interesting thing that would keep your character's flavor is going through the Rin route and being a generalist, with a single defining trait. In the case of your character substitute jewels for runes and you got yourself a rune mage that's not incapable of using other forms of magic.

This is just a suggestion but I guess that it is more in line with the implied spirit of your CS as opposed to the wording that make it seems like your character can't do any magic at all out side of weak runes.

Reiko was at the Great Hall a few minutes after a short trip to her office to fetch a new coat. As soon as the whole faculty and student body were gathered, she took the microphone in Aria's place. "As all of you may know at this point, a terrible incident happened within the Academy not a long while ago. The details of what happened are better left untold, for your own personal safety, however, I can disclose that the ultimate result was the untimely passing of a student."

"Investigations are still underway, however, we have a lead on the suspect and will focus all of our power in this case." Reiko made a slight pause to quell a hubbub that rose among the students before continuing, "Today's activities are suspended, all of you will be escorted to your dormitories by the faculty members. Starting from tomorrow, no student will be allowed to walk alone on the campus, you'll have to form groups between yourselves, or have an escort from the staff. A curfew will be in place between sunset and dawn hours, any student attempting to sneak away from their dormitory during this time will be subject to harsh administrative measures, up to and including sending you back to your families."

"These measures are for your own safety. There's nothing more valuable for us than that the well-being of our pupils. Please, bear with us while they last," Reiko said as she glanced at the unrestful crowd of students. "Regarding the dormitories. You'll be sleeping in communal rooms separated, by year and gender. This serves two distinct purposes: To reinforce the traits of friendship and camaraderie between future fellow Dawn Slayers and to make it easy for us to keep you safe. Enjoy this opportunity to know your new friends better."

"Unless there are any questions that you may ask, you are dismissed for today. The classes schedule will be published tomorrow, we hope you are looking forward to it."

She feels ok for me. That's basically a mix-and-match combination of Diana, Farris, and Iona, without any advantage of their focus in one subject or another, so she's basically fine for me.

As long as you actually use this umpteenth character, of course.
