"Thanks." Catching the canister before it slid off the counter, Karen gave the bottle a light shake. "We'll have to go easy on it, but I think it can last a couple cups between us."

Turning away from the counter, Karen began pulling out an assortment of coffee cups from a cabinet as the radio crackled to life for the morning run detailing Camp Whispering Springs as a "zombie-free" sanctuary. Part of Karen wanted to immediately run out the door; to go back to a time when being eaten alive was a nightmare or a horror element in entertainment. On the other hand, she couldn't help but to hold her own suspicions about the former summer camp. But Krisana was right; they would have to make a move soon. The diner wasn't going to last forever, and getting out of town would be much safer.

"Well," Karen spoke up, placing a cup in front of those sitting at the counter as she chimed in the growing conversation. "I think that's a question for all of us after we've all had a chance to eat first, like what Dr. Archer said. But to answer the question, we should probably get going. Sooner or later we'll run out of food, and there isn't much for some miles."

Her eyes then fell on Henry. "If we're planning on getting out of dodge, then I should probably mention that I do have my service weapon." Karen lifted the edge of her t-shirt, revealing her SIG P232 that had been concealed underneath. "I haven't felt the need to bring it up, but now seems like a good time to. I only have one magazine for it, though, so don't expect it to be our saving grace for long unless we find ammunition laying around somewhere."

Appearance:

Seemingly stuck at 5'3'' and with a lithe frame, Sydnee is as average as it goes. Her short, messy mop of a hairstyle is a sandy blonde, while her irises are closer to a gold-like hazel. For the time being, she often prefers lighter yet fashionable clothes, such as capris, tees, and the ever-popular running shoes.

Background:

Born the daughter of a well-known Ranger and Operator duo from Almia, Sydnee has a lengthy legacy to live up to. Due to her parents being at the top of their class, however, much of Sydnee's childhood was spent being bounced around from place-to-place. Some days she'd be stuck at the Ranger Union bothering her father and his colleagues, whilst on other days it meant travelling the globe with her mother on one of her many quests given to a ranger of her status.

In turn, Sydnee would foster a love for exploration, Pokémon, and of course, the Rangers themselves. She wanted to be like her parents; to be a hero to the world of Pokémon. However, given the Ranger School's strict requirements, Sydnee has found herself forced to wait until she reaches the age of eighteen to apply as a Student Ranger in her home region of Almia. With two years being a long time from now, Sydnee has taken itself upon herself to explore the world in her mother's footsteps, helping where she can until the time comes for her to return to Almia.

Personality:

Put simply, Sydnee is a walking disaster, having inherited both of her parents' personalities. Like many destined to be Rangers, she is the type rearing to go and ready to leap into action full of bright, beaming confidence. Doing her best is of great importance to Sydnee, which comes at a cost of taking failure directly to heart. It'll eat away at her, driving Sydnee into a depressive slump that she often has to fight herself out of in order to improve and bring her A game the next time around. Half-assing a job will never make a good Ranger out of someone; a fact Sydnee is well aware of in her many travels.
