You can probably find a copy of SoS in any 4chan /tg/ archive, or at least the test builds/beta versions. It was built by a bunch of /tg/ guys with most feedback regarding the system happening on there.

As for Exalted, it depends. There are a few versions (1e-3e), side books, and even homebrew simplified versions (like qwiexalted/qwixalted). If you're looking for lore or information about the setting itself, though, there are numerous wikis out there. I personally prefer using this wiki for most things as some of the wikis out there also include unofficial, fan-made material (locations, characters, etc) as well.

Alternative bullet points in lists?

You can get ○ (alt + 9 for alt code) if you make a list in a list, but until Mahz returns, your only way around this is to DIY your own list.

Depends. I haven't played tabletop in quite some time, mainly since I tend to play other systems outside DnD and therefore it is harder to find a good PbP game. Song of Swords, Exalted, etc. isn't something you commonly find on these sites.

Are my Original Characters up for grabs?

@Aine I believe this is on a case by case basis. If you join a RP with a character and then bail mid-RP, then the GM + players are stuck with a character that is no longer active in the roleplay and they have to figure out how to advance around it. The general consensus is for a GM to write this character out of the story (how this is done depends on the GM and the context of the roleplay itself), IMO. I've honestly never seen a GM just hand off someone's character to another player, but I've seen GMs temporarily NPC them to get them out of the roleplay if, say, their player leaves mid-RP conversation or in a battle or something where they can't easily be thrown into the background.

EDIT: TBH, this all could be solved by said player writing out their character anyway... but generally most people don't even bother doing this, which is why we have this issue.

I watch a couple gaming channels, but not as much as I did way back in my past. Other than that, I watch the occasional no commentary playthrough of some game, typically something that just came out. Did it for TLOU2 because of how divisive the game was, and honestly I'm glad I saved my money.

I can't say so much about Magic the Gathering, but I feel everything else is pretty common on this site in some degree. That said, as for DnD, our tabletop section has kind of been in a lull for some time so there hasn't been too many games made lately. They're usually 5e because pretty much everyone knows DnD and/or 5e at this point.

The name, really. It just sounded like a bot account, since they usually include words like "buy", "free", etc. in their name.

Video Games: The General Discussion & Community Thread Number Two

Been playing hardcore (as in if I die, it's game over) on vanilla WoW. Kinda crazy how mobs that I wouldn't even give a second thought at mowing them down with my spells and abilities are now terrifying. I used to just facetank the troggs, quilboar, etc. but now I have to think of the fights I take more of then than I did in the past. For instance, Razormane Hunters and their wolf pets patrolling into my area have made me bail from fights, I avoid most caves so respawned mobs don't jump me, etc. It's super fun in the end but sometimes nerve-wracking when you're about to lose hours upon hours of progress from a stupid mistake you made.
