I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

If you've wound up here, you're probably wondering who I am. You can call me Kuro, although some of you might better recognize me by one of the several other names that I have used in the past throughout the 11-ish years that I have spent on this forum. I'm a middle-twenties retail manager that is still trying to relive the glory days of their roleplay career while balancing a full-time job with an unsatiable need for overtime. I tend to be open to most ideas when it comes to roleplay itself, be it whatever genre, group size, system, etc. That being said, I often gravitate to anything that falls in the following categories: anime, fantasy, slice of life, superhero or survival horror. "Thank you, Isaac." Kali replied, sliding her jacket over her shoulders. She didn't want to be a burden on him, but Kali was nevertheless grateful for his offer to escort her home through the chaos that had overtaken New York right now. "I'll wait over by the door for you. Just let me know when you're ready to leave." Kali continued before walking over towards the Twin Seasons' waiting area to wait for him.
Once she reached the waiting area, Kali looked out the window; her thoughts shifting away from Jeff and instead to the city itself. What in God's name was going on? People were being attacked—injured, much like Jeff was. The National Guard had reportedly been mobilized, although Kali had yet to see them anywhere on the streets. As she watched sirens and lights pass by in a blur, it seemed to her as if madness had taken over the city, and it planned to take everyone with it.
Biting her lip, she could only fear what was to come. Perhaps she should've stayed in Boston, Kali wondered.
