Melancholy

The night was young, the atmosphere good, and the the drink fine for Melancholy as she sat outside the Tavern where she was looking over a rendition of her appearance on a petty wanted poster of herself. She sighed to herself, not really like the rendition as the artist had managed to get her nose completely wrong and her horn were too angled to the side for her liking. It just was not fair to her to public figure if she her wanted posters looked nothing like her, but she did suppose it was for the best that she lay low. Melancholy’s grey body leaned back in her seat before gazing up at the stars before realizing that the music had stopped.

The tiefling had wanted to contemplate on how to get her ring back, but that seemed to be a bit less likely when her mood had been killed so easily. So, she had decided that it may be better to head inside, though the darker atmosphere outside agreed more with her nighttime senses, as it was far easier to look into the darkness for her than say a human. However, as she drew near the door, it came open and out walked a drunk dark elf. The sight of a drunkard was hardly a surprise for her but what was a surprise was Graham coming out of the tavern soon after, speaking to her in infernal.

Speaking in a tongue so strange would get them both caught, so she responded in the more common tongue with a hiss, ”You speaking like that is going to get us caught easier.” They had to act natural, and she was doing that far better than Graham was doing, arrogant fool that treated her like a child who didn’t know how to be a trained criminal. She saw the drunk go down an alley after a while of them trailing him and decided that a plan may be a good decision here. ”Listen, I’ll make sure no one comes in, you get the goods and try not to kill ‘em, we don’t want the city guard to get all riled up,” she commanded, an infernal accent in her voice as she spoke.

Of be down if you’ll have me!
Alexander Ross

Alexander couldn’t help but smirk at the other Alex’s statement, though not outwardly responding except looking back when she ran to the use the bathroom. He simply shook his head, that was what happened when you drank too much water.

Then, everything went wrong in a matter of seconds, Rondo fell off his bike and then an explosion. The machinery had gone haywire, at least that is what he believed in his ever moving mind, and caused the guest star to also flip off the bike but in a less spectacular fashion from what he could see. With that, the doctor immediately scrambled to the ambulance and hopped on the back, holding in for dear life as the driver in side sped towards the accident. From there, he was he saw a figure flying away, he couldn’t give chase since a life may be on the line and so he hoped another entity would be able to hunt down the fleeing one.

However, one of the others had warped the seemingly dying man near them and so he signaled for the ambulance to stop so they could tend to the one they were payed to help.

The man was a mess of sobbing with many broken bones; both legs and an arm with the bone sticking out, and some ribs if the doctor could guess. However, the scalped head was surely not a good thing, Alexander peered down and saw a bit of skull through the mess of blood and hair. Though, it was more annoying that Rondo would simply not stop making the noise of a dying man, like the drama expert he was.

With a sigh, he looked back at the others, “We’ll get the girl!,” he ordered as his attention went back down to the man that was above him. Alexander got to work by snapping the bones back into their general space, being careful not to do to much damage with his strength. Unfortunately, this made the star get an even fuss going, earning the rough response, “Oh shut up, you idiot. This is probably your fault anyways.” Soon enough the doctor began lightly healing Rondo using his Gamma Powers, it was a draining process, but it got Rondo in a stable enough position for Alexander to allow someone else to take over.

He rushed over to the other woman with the ambulance and crouched down next to the other paramedics, “Status,” he asked, making sure that he understood.

“No visible injury, I’m guessing that she has one of those fancy protection suits on, she’s just unconscious,” one of the reported.

Alexander nodded and laid his hand upon the woman, making sure to avoid any suggestive areas and instead focus on the bare collarbone. Soon enough he began to expend more of his energy to make sure that the woman would be in a stable position and hopefully wake up. The perks of being a Gamma.

Film shoots were never things that Alexander were exactly very okay with being around, especially stunts which have a slight chance of going horrifically wrong. All in the name of entertainment of course.

However, on this occasion, Alexander was there do something that was rather important, such as save a famous womanizer from another assassination attempt should that attempt happen on that day. Of course, Alexander was very good at what he did, having earned a PhD in less time than it takes to get a standard Bachelor’s degree for someone of his age, which no matter how you look at it would have been four years. He worked long into the nights of his youth, able to work for long periods of time with little rest, one of his perks of being a Gamma. It had been a blessing of enhancing his brain in the manner that it did, likely adding complexity to the structure that operate the body, without an increase in overall size. Of course the downside to this was that his mind was almost always in motion, whether it be about actually be about medicine or biology was up for debate as not even he properly knew.

Yet, there the man stood, blankly staring at the set, having reminded the crew once more to stay hydrated due to the desert heat that would follow them from the comforts of the city. Best part was that Alexander looked nothing like a doctor, with long baggy clothing on to help keep himself cool in the desert heat, always gotta be prepared. His sky blue orbs danced from the children to the cameras, and so on and so forth before his eyes landed on the very man that he was here to act as an emergency doctor for. Alexander had never been a fan Rondo, and he never would be, namely do to his womanizing nature. Plus stars of any kind tend to have a problem controlling their ego.

Gripes aside, Alexander would begrudgingly do his job and he let out a sigh knowing that he would have to live with Rando’s ego go on even further if he survived yet another attempt on his life. Then his eyes landed on someone that he legitimately did not know of, simply because he never kept up with media unless it was scientific or medical based, though sometimes he would watch a good medical show just to get a good laugh out it. However, he soon caught himself staring at her and frantically averted his gaze from the blonde beauty to focus on organizing his emergency medical kit, just in case something goes awry.

Readiness was always a good thing, especially when it came to emergency medical procedures. It was primarily bandages and stitches, with some simple painkillers, and other sterile equipment needed for such a procedure. Always ready to act. Always ready to help.

All in the name of entertainment, of course.
Both Xirphi and Sagi rose, keeping their heads bowed to the Supreme One before they turned and left, leaving Lexicon to smirk as they left silently. The boy looked up to the specter for a moment before away once more, thinking of what to say to the being who had wanted him to stay. Once Lexicon knew Xirphi was out of earshot, he turned away from the door and said, ”Forgive me, my Lord. I only act the way I do as I view myself superior to the common rabble of the guild, especially Xirphi. Despite her physical strength being superior to me, she could never hope to match our intellect, Lord.”

He had an evil, twisted grin on his face as he looked at Volaris before letting out a small scoff, ”Her constant swooning is also an annoyance.” Lexicon chuckled a bit before a dark lightning flicked between his fingertips. He watched them dance before inquiring, ”But I digress, my lord, what would you have me do?”

The child was far smarter than many people perceived, then again that was the curse of the damned book that he had carried around. Though in all reality it was a decorative item in Yggdrasil that was ultimately useless in nearly all ways, however, it served Ladata’s purpose of making an evil sadistic child to be her heir. An heir to an unholy throne.

Meanwhile, Sagi and Xirphi strode down the hall, the kobold form of the dragoness sat atop the mythical golem crafted by the Godsmith. ”I cannot believe the nerve of that child, not bowing to likes of Volaris. Oh, how I wished to end his mortal life then and there!”

”Then you would be attacking the guild, secondary objecti-“

”Protect the guild, yeah, yeah. But Volaris is a Supreme Being and thus he deserves to be treated as such! He is so powerful, and the way he invokes people to go mad and obey him is just astounding. It really makes a girl want to swoon!” Xirphi said aloud, spreading out on the top of Sagi’s head. The golem did not care about the dragon’s motions, though her tail in his face was an annoyance.

”You mean girls such as yourself?,” Sagi asked emotionlessly, before he felt the lizard drop of his head with a light shriek of surprise. He heard her land on the ground and began fumbling for words to deny his claim only for the golem to continue walking off without her.

Soon enough she was now perched on his shoulder, ”I do not swoon! I am a murderous demon dragon and I feel nothing.”

”False statement, I have noticed you in several sadistic moods. And you constantly vie for Lord Volaris’ attention, and I would believe affection. However, it is none of my concern, nor desire, to know what goes on with your feelings,” the golem noted before hearing Xirphi sigh beside him. At least now she accepted the silence that Sagi had wanted, talking to others was never his forte.

But guarding the Guild was.

@DeadDrop

It’s 5 GP for 1 Background Point

And you spent 24 GP in your mega-attributes and 9 in powers bringing your total already to above 30.

And you used an additional two points in your secondary.

I’m not even trying to count the background given that hassle.
