Bio

"If you kill a man, you scorn his wife. If you kill his wife, you scorn her child. If you kill her child, you scorn his village. If you kill his village, you scorn the kingdom. If you kill the kingdom you scorn an empire. If you kill an empire, then who is left?"

A resounding thud echoed across the battlefield, the wind that was pushed away by the dissipating force of her strike blew snow away in a circle from the strike zone. Pikatok's face bent into a scowl, she had almost entirely forgotten that his shield was better than hers. Though, she supposes that he had forgotten about her more passive shield, as the blade made headway into her stomach. It was a vicious strike, it made very good headway immediately. Cutting open her shirt and spilling blood from her stomach onto the ground. However, as the blade continued passing through her it made progressively less and less progress until it halted entirely. As though it were stuck deeply in bone and hide.

In response to the blade she had used the hide of the glyptodon, which allowed her skin to harden to defend herself. But, as a reaction to a strike that she didn't expect, it was unable to protect her entirely from injury. The wound that had been inflicted was cleaved from the fat above her left kidney to an inch or so away from her bellybutton. Leaving the blade still jammed inside of her body, problematic for more than one reason. The biggest problem lying in the thunderbird tattoo, which she didn't know he was charging, though she was aware of its existence and properties.

To save herself being skewered or worse, Pikatok slapped the shield again and pushed backwards with her feet. Throwing herself a good six feet away from Kei'Taro. With her left hand, she covered the wound.

The weapon was really making a difference this time around, where in previous bouts he hadn't been able to make any headway into spilling blood, now she had nearly been gutted by her foe. Pikatok panted a bit, applying pressure to her side.

Kei'Taro was actually trying to kill her.
I mean, this isn't really an argument. Just a disagreement on something that we don't see eye to eye on. Though I do suppose it will be me who budges, and since I figure that it wasn't going to work out in its entirety anyway. I'll take the hit and carry on. So we don't have to continue debating whether or not it would work.

I'm getting caught up on Rill and Skallagrim first, as I've held up both of them for a week now.
The catching of the foot?
None that I know of, pretty much every movement made by Kanitah is a reckless gambit with risks and rewards. It's made up as it goes along on my end.

The moving with the foot because Fury has enough strength to upend a city bus and Kanitah only weighs 500 some odd lbs?
Logic, yo. Kanitah knows that not resisting the weight of each strike landed by either opponent, because neither opponent weighs even a quarter of the maximum output of the other fighter, would result in both parties flying off in the opposite direction. Unless they are holding onto something or matching the force, which Kanitah is attempting to do with the leg catch.
However, on the opposite end. While I'm dealing with the point of the leg, you're striking into Kanitah who's loosened himself so that he can properly receive the kick. By bending his knee and crouching downwards, his body is in a less sturdy stance. Meaning that when he does catch the kick, he will move with the leg. Because Fury's kicks carry enough weight to move Kanitah if he isn't squared to resist the force of it. While it's a risky move, and it does come with the added negative of hurting his right hand and wrist, it does come with the positive of repositioning Fury. Who would expect his kick to land and for his opponent to not move with it, so his kick would carry through as Kanitah moved with the strike.
@MelonHead Difficult, but entirely possible for fighters of this level. Especially considering the advantage of how much less Kanitah actually has to dip down to catch the leg, and how much more Fury has to extend his leg to keep Kanitah at range. If it weren't a full length kick, I wouldn't have gone for the grab, because the time between the strike and the hit would be too short. But because you stated that the was keeping Kanitah at range, the time that it takes for his kick to extend fully is longer, which would give Kanitah plenty of time to react in that simple of a way.

Am I saying that it wouldn't hurt his hands or wrists in any way shape or form? No.

But I am saying that with the situation that we're currently in, that him catching the kick is an entirely viable action. It's not a nonchalant action, it's just a simple reaction. Like the movements of Tai-Chi, he's using up less energy by making smaller movements with lesser impact. Rather than larger movements with greater impact.

Also; About the murder thing. The cops were there when we left the apartment later, a full investigation and everything happened apparently. Though we weren't asked anything because we were too far away from the incident to be considered actual character witnesses. We saw it from our apartment.
@Rilla

I'm typing up the post now, really sorry for everything holding y'all up.
Also @MelonHead Skallagrim made his quarter on the post, so the contest of action is still up in the air. I do contest your mention of "Nonchalant." Just because it's a simple action doesn't make it nonchalant.

@Skallagrim

I'll post in the morning, sorry for holding you up too.

Fun Fact:
Witnessed what Kevin, Isaha, Kenny, and Myself assume to be a murder. So I've been a bit scatterbrained.
I find it really difficult to type from mobile phones

I just got a new phone and the buttons are tiny
Though on a queen and king basis it might be weird

As most of us are men

I'm not gonna be the queen

No matter how pretty I look I am not a lady
Tonight after I get back from work.
Sorry for the delay.
Only a sloppy or amateur low-kick can be easily caught, and Fury’s was neither of those things.

Except that's bullshit. Two fighters of comparable strength, speed, and skill can counter every movement that the other makes. Kanitah's shorter stature actually makes it EASIER for him to catch Fury's leg.
If other people are interested in this, can y'all post yer character sheets in the actual thread? I'm ashamed to admit this, but I tend to need to see other people's characters before I can choose what character I'm using.
