So basically, David's two path destiny thing is that we were born with only two possible outcomes. To be a great good, or a great evil, and to change the world one way or another. I could have been a very, very, very, very bloody evil person, but I choose good, which makes it easy for me to deflect stuff like that like a tennis ball.
