"Bon-what?" David could ask, right before Ace pulled him off Luciel. The girl was getting antsy, and quite possibly for good reason. "You're right. Will you be okay...euhm..." David asked, turning to Luciel. A lot of things were happening all around him, and he could still hear the alarm coming from the prison. When Ace suggested to get a move on, David agreed. "Does anyone actually know where we should go?" he still asked, as he was quite unfamiliar with the surroundings. In anticipation he looked at Luciel, who seemed to be the only one not coming from the prison.
He will not be my Barney! He will steal her from me! That was the very first thought that shot through David's mind as he heard Alex's offer of help. Wait...why am I thinking that? David was confused for a second. He quickly glanced over to Artemis, who'd just fired her arrow charged with lightning. "Oh god..." he thought out loud. It will be god damn hard to impress a girl who can shoot lightning arrows. A few moments later and they were supposed to shift. Though David was still quite a bit distracted. Should I accept the help of Alex? Should I even go after Artemis in the first place? She's way out of my league...No! Man up, David Fletchers! You are a man and a mutant!
Right about then did Beatrice ask David about his powers, he literally jumped, as he had sunk quite deep in his own mind. "What? Powers? Oh yes, powers! Right. Euhm..." What should I show? What Should I show? What should I show? David's mind was utter chaos at this point. After a second he got an idea. With his left hand pointing towards the target, he motioned up. A purple haze surrounded the target, making it float half a meter off the ground. Then, with an open right hand he pointed at the target, gathered his particles and launched a small concentration of plasma at it, scorching its surface. Damn it! I have to show I can do more. More! More! More! And with that mindset the target suddenly flew a few meters straight up. Surprised, David released his grip on the object, and it came plummeting back towards the ground. With a dreadful face he turned to Miss Letterman and said: "Sorry!" While clenching his teeth.
"I think I saw one running there!" yelled one of the guards, who were now actively patrolling the perimeter. Just like several others, David managed to escape from his bars thanks to the strange intrusion of some plant guy. He didn't see much of him, he did see a few other people making a run for it. Some already made it for the forest. David was short on their heels. With adrenaline pumping through his veins and a heart ready to break his chest he hid around the corner. It wasn't far now, he could see the forest from where he stood.
"Hey you!" David, distracted, had not noticed the lone guard. The man pointed his gun straight at the youth. "Hands in the air, now!" he commanded. In panic, David blinked. In equal terror as the youth the guard began to violently look around. Pointing his gun everywhere. A second later and David stood behind him. In an effort to knock the man unconscious, David flung his fist against the head of the guard. But mid swing something sharp formed over his fingers. So in reaction, he opened the fist and the claws ripped open the side of the man's head. In horror he saw how the man dropped dead with 4 gapping slashes in his face. But the horror was soon replaced by an odd excitement. The sweet smell of blood energized him.
Though he couldn't revel in it for long. More guards were coming. He made a dash for the forest. "There! I saw one!" he heard yelling behind him. Which made him blink again, straight into the forest and losing the guards. Within the forest he was horribly lost. David was not familiar with the surrounding terrain. Though he did hear voices talking in the distance. After a quick blink up towards a sturdy looking branch, David began to observe his surroundings. Two blinks later he was above Luciel, watching him.
Name: David Letterman Age: 18 Gender: Male Race: Hex Status: Enslaved/escaped Bio: There isn’t much to say about his youth. He grew up with loving parents. When he first discovered he could blink. While he didn’t lack anything in particular, he was still a bit greedy. So sometimes, not too often, he would commit petty crimes like shoplifting (he just blinks in and out of the shop) or unauthorized access (he blinks passed the club bouncer). Eventually he was caught and put behind bars.
David is a cheery and happy kid. Though prison life has put a damper on it. He loathes fighting in most forms though understands that if it’s inevitable, he must give it his 100%. While he can be a little bit greedy, who with powers wouldn’t use it for their own comfort?
He could escape during the breakout of Ace and managed to pass the bulk of guards with his blink ability. Right now he’s in the forest, following the sound of talking of what he assumes are other Hexes.
Powers/Abilities: Blink – an ability allowing him to travel short distances in an instance. Often in a blue-black flash he disappears and appears again. The blink ability can only be used over a short distance. Having a range of about 15 meters tops. He doesn’t need a direct line of sight, but he must remember the destination. For example: David cannot blink into a room he never saw before.
Dark claw – At close range he can envelop his fingers in black-purple, crystal-like claws. The claws are at the strength of steel. Ripping through flesh and clothes quite easily.
Dark needle – at longer ranges, David can form a long, black-purple, crystal-like needle that he can fire off. The longer he wants the needle to be, the longer he has to let it grow. But the longer it gets, the further it can strike. A minor detail: the needle floats in his palm. It doesn’t grow out of his skin. And it seems to be growing much like a plant on steroids. Extra information: Dark energy that powers his claws, needle and blink ability are closely connected to bloodlust. The more he kills, the stronger his powers become. For example: with blink he will be able to go further, faster and more often. His claws will become bigger, covering his hand and maybe eventually his upper arm. Serving as protection if needed. The needle would grow faster, thicker and longer. However, it puts a great strain on his mental stability. All of this is still very much unknown as David never really went into a rampage before.

@Silen Syanka "No. I'm the first one in my...family to bear the name 'Liandrich'. So I have to build the reputation myself." Another reason why he felt like he had to perfect himself everywhere he could. His father bore the name of the many great kings before him. That name alone give him a lot of honor and respect. So from there it was easy to rule the kingdom and do great things. Liandrich felt like it was different for him. There was no inherited honor. Built it all yourself, he told himself at night. Rise and soar like an eagle. Be golden and great. Petty fantasies of course. The reality was a lot more brutal. Gathering honor on a battlefield would be no problem for him. Even know, as he thought about leading his troops into battle. Holding a banner in his left hand and his sword high in his right. A fantasy that so often plastered a smile over his lips. Even now. But that was not the life of a king. The life of a king was behind closed doors. Surrounded by advisors talking with venom.
"So are you an heir? Or a liability?" A little blunt but again, true in Liandrich's eyes. He asked because he was interested. For him, only an heir had true purpose to a great family. Everyone younger had no true written out destiny. If he'd ever get a sister of brother, they would be useless. Maybe the brother could become his personal body guard. But what if that same brother want to raise as king himself? He thought that Thalassa could not be an heir. She was to free, with no apparent duties. Only siblings of an heir have that freedom.
Just a small question. When i made my Lich Dragons i sort of had them envisioned with wings. Would that form a problem? Also I'm trying to write a little lore surrounding dragon riders and dragon cults.
Also, about the map, please don't forget that if you follow the lore i wrote, then there should be some dwarven cities up north in mountains and some elven cities in forests down in the south-west. Just pointing that out.
