I'd say more range, more speed through hyperdrive or a more precissious drop point out of hyperspace (IE for ambush attacks behind a fleet or something). I'd leave that to you.
Makes sense. Though I think in the future acquiring the things necessary for a specific upgrade may require more than just posting that you're going after it, and then a later post that you got it. Might need to be a side op or something, or even something that can be done in private where I'll GM the enemy forces you have to get through to get what you're after. But of course, those kinds of things can also be acquired through other ways like politics and trading.

Seems pretty fair.

Though right now I was able to capture a professor who, under torture, might aid in upgrading hyperdrive systems a little. To keep it fair, do you want me to let her escape? Or can I keep her right now?
Just wanted to let you all know that I've added an "assets" part on my NS.

Than and I would like to propose something. Maybe upgrades should cost more than just points? Like if you want improved (or even experimental) hyperdrive, you need to hire/abduct a certain expert on that field. That and the required infrastructure (IE space docks, which could be built). What do you think?
System: Garos
Orbit: Garos IV

"Plot a hyperdrive course. But hold for my signal. Destination: random seperatist space." Tartarus told the B1 droid commander before he left the bridge. The journey towards the lower hangar deck where the cruiser was pulled in. A dockingring had forcefully attached itself to the ship, and now several droidekas together with several B2 battle droids. The doors opened up, and a crew exited with hands raised. Except for one. The senator. He was an elderly man, but he had fire in his eyes. "If you think the republic will bend to whatever wish you have simply because you hold me captive, you are mistaken! I will not bend to Sith rule. No. And neither will Garos. You just made the gravest mistake of your dear life, sir. The Jedi will be coming for me!" the man stood tall and firm. Until a red lightsaber was next to his neck.

"I suggest you remain silent for the rest of your very short stay onboard of my vessel, mister senator. I have little interest in you." The fire in the senator's eyes whitered. And the red light vanished again. "Now. Who of you is Professor Medina?" asked Darth Tartarus. A young lady stepped forward. "My lady. I'm afraid that, contrary to the rest of the cruiser's crew. I cannot let you go. Seize her." The professor went along with the two B2 droids towards the holding cells. But never did she take her firm gaze off Tartarus. She had the same fire as the senator. But it never whitered.

The rest of the crew was quickly pushed back into the vessel. Which was then dropped into space like a dead ship. Maybe a patrol ship of the Republic would find it. Or ships from Garos IV would come to it's aid. It mattered little.
Character name: Darth Tartarus
Race: --UNKNOWN--
Gender: Male
Alignment: Sith
Description:
He hides behind his mask. Forever. It is said that he is cursed, that the mask is in fact his skin. And that he feels every wound more than anyone could ever feel anything. But others claim he is Darth Nihilus reborn. A scar upon the Force.

His personality is pretty straight forward. He understands that cheer ruthelessness would not inspire much loyality among his sentient followers. He values competence, rewards bravery and teaches the young and the foolish. But his punishments are cruel and harsh. Failure at a most basic task without a sufficient explination may lead to a degradation. But become a traitor, and you will wish for dead to come.

"Exiting hyperspace in 3...2...1. Out of hyperspace. All systems nominal. Iridima and Yavin's Pride checking in. All ships accounted for." said a B1 pilot droid in his iconic robotic voice. "Contact Iridima. I want a full orbital scan." Darth Tartarus' voice was quite. It was as if he almost whispered. A few minutes went by when the report came in. "Sir. Iridima picked up one ship in orbit sir. It's a...Consular-class cruiser sir." For a moment, Tartarus did not move. If he was smiling, no-one would know. "Order bombers to engage communication arrays, engines, shields and the hyperdrive. I want that ship alive." The B1 responded with: "Roger. Roger."

Quickly the hangar bays came alive as Vulture- and Hyena-droids detached themselves from the maingride and flew into the cold void of space. Each squadron 5 Vultures escorted the heavier Hyena's. The strike was swift and savage. From the bridge, Darth Tartarus could see the well aimed explosions. Ripping arrays apart and destroying the shield generator. Soon, the damaged vessel was pulled in by the Immortalis tractor beam. "Sir. It seems like the ship was able to send out an emergency broadcast." Again, no emotion could be seen on Tartarus. But he was angry. Very angry.

Onboard, a senator was waiting. Expecting a visit from some CIS admiral or even from a sith. It was, however, not him Darth Tartarus wanted. It was the professor of Starship engineering, who was supposed to give a seminar at Corusant about improved Hyperdrive designs, whom Tartarus wanted. Kidnapping a senator was merely an added benefit to him.

Name: Alexander "Alex" Weaver
Age: 20

Powers: Mana magic
The first fact about mana magic is that everything that is born, grows, lives and dies is a Mana Well. A Mana Well serves 2 purposes. It is so far the only container for Mana, storing the quantity decided by how old, significant and physically big a creature is. For example, massive trees would have loads of Mana stored in them. Mana cannot be stored in inanimate objects like metal, stone, or anything else.

The second purpose is that it Mana Wells can replenish their stored Mana, over time. Again, Mana Wheels are the only source of Mana so far. Plant-life has a slower Mana recharge rate than animal-life.

Normal beings, when completely emptied of their mana, might feel just a tiny bit fatigued. As mana plays not a single role in their lives, most don’t even feel it. Trees continue to grow and animals keep on running around. For those with the ability to manipulate Mana, being drained of it leaves them completely exhausted and very vulnerable.

Mana in its purest form cannot exist outside the body of a Mana Wheel for over 30 seconds. It is also pretty useless in that state. It often looks like a blue, glowing liquid. It evaporates extremely fast and once it has turned to gas, it is useless. So most ‘Mages’ turn Mana inside their body in Arcana.

Weapons: None
Bio:
Alex was born with the ability to manipulate Mana. But he only discovered that when he was 14. Before that, he lived a quiet little life. His parents were part of the upper middle class so he had a pretty comfortable life. Untouched by any weird events. Until one fateful day. During PE classes. They were to play basketball and one of the kids threw a rather hard pass towards Alex. Who held out both of his hands hoping to stop it. A small flash of purple appeared and the ball bounced away, without ever having touched Alex's fingers.

His class reaction was not to care and just continue playing, which somewhat surprised Alex. Back in his room he started to experiment by throwing things up the air and holding out his hands in an attempt to stop them. Through observation he started to understand a little what was going on, and so he started to understand Arcana.

A little bit further in time and Alex has gained a form of control on how to make an Arcana shield but also discovered you can keep Arcana in an orb-like shape. From there on, things started to go wrong. You see, power corrupts. And that is exactly what happened with Alex. He started to act like somewhat of douche. Overconfident knowing that nobody could actually harm him. Until someone did. Chad Bower, captain of the American Football team of his school, saw Alex talk up his girlfriend. In a surprise attack, he hit Alex in the bowls. Alex never had time enough to make a shield, so he collapsed in pain. This all happened at someone's house party when Alex was 18. Out of rage he started to throw his orbs around. Shattering walls and destroying furniture.

That quickly became his end. The house was ravaged and surrounded with police. Luckily for him, he didn't kill people, but there were lots of wounded. Struck with guilt he handed himself over to the police without any trouble. The judge quickly declared him a danger to public safety and send him off to Miss. Dawson's Home.

Dreams/Wishes:
In short term, to repent for what he did at the house party so the guilt would go away. In the longer term, he will often tell that he wants the best for those who have powers and for those who don't. A classic answer, though he's a bit afraid to what he really dreams for in his future. Power. Lots of power. Power to be used for good, yes. But after everything, he still craves power.

Evil, Good, Walking the line:
Good in a way that he wants the best for those he loves, likes and live around him. He wants what is best for his environment. But would, if the cause was important enough, resort to maybe somewhat immoral actions. For the greater good.

Siblings:
2 brothers. A younger and an older. The older is currently over sea in Europe studying History. The Youngest just finished middle school.

Pets: None
Thanks! Would you mind that my forces first run another errand (kidnapping a senator from Anobis System) before joining the fight there?

Other question: how free are we to generate own stories. As in, do we need to follow a CIS campaign or are we allowed to, for example, raid where we go?
EDIT: forget all this!
