Personality: 
Tori is a tough-as-nails, cynical girl, one that is allergic to bullshit and won't hesitate to deck you if you so much as look at her wrong. To great extent, she won't. However, for as much of that persona as she puts forward, it's largely because she doesn't feel able to trust anybody. Though Tori is generally brusque and gruff to those that she finds even the smallest bit suspicious, she's extraordinarily protective of anybody she's deemed trustworthy, and won't shrink from getting up in your face if you try something that endangers those that she cares for. As a byproduct of this straightforward nature, she is brutally honest to everyone, and has no stomach for liars. No matter the motive. She is largely callous and doesn't put a lot of stock in emotions, often openly mocking people who are offended by her often-angry comments.

Appearance: 
Tori is a tall girl with fair skin and a large smattering of freckles, sitting somewhere just short of six feet, and has a fairly normal build, not overly slim or overly bulky, though it's worth mentioning that she has quite long legs, sitting in the uncomfortable zone where people can tell something is disproportionate about her, but can't quite place what it is. Despite that, she's incredibly skinny and has almost no fat, largely due to her abilities' consumption of her calories. In light of that, she only weighs about 97lbs. Her lack of body fat gives her face an incredibly angular appearance, all hard lines and edges, which makes her look perpetually irritated. She has short, messily-slashed dirty-blonde hair surmounting a pair of--oddly enough--brilliant orange eyes. She wears a dirty, ripped-up, decades-old black leather jacket and a white tanktop with a single red stripe down the left side. She wears a pair of khaki-colored cargo pants and white and red sneakers. She wears a simple leather thong with a silver medallion around her neck, a family heirloom that she treasures fiercely and will go to surprising lengths to protect and remain in ownership of.

Abilities: 
Tori has the ability to manipulate fire. She can shrink, grow, move and change fire with her mind to a surprising extent. However, she cannot, and has never been able to, create fire, only manipulate it. She's always got a simple lighter on her for using her power. The greatest limitation, in a general sense, placed upon this ability is that using it actively burns calories at an incredible rate, and even normally, she burns more than a normal person by a significant margin and runs nearly three degrees hotter. She has to eat a massive amount, but rarely eats enough, forcing her to restrict the use of her powers to avoid passing out. Her powers shrink in effectiveness the higher the humidity is, and when it's raining, she can barely do anything at all. It also gives her an instinctual aversion to water.

Skills & Weaknesses: 
Though Tori is relatively strong for her build, and an incredibly fast runner, because of her constant hunger and rapid burning of calories, she has little stamina and can't run for more than a few minutes before keeling over. She has an absurd, indomitable will, which has often pulled her through her share of sticky situations simply by virtue of sinking her teeth in and not letting go. The obvious downside to this, of course, is that she's incredibly stubborn and has difficulty accepting compromise. Having gone on many camping trips with her family as a younger child and teen, she has an awareness of her environment and basic survival knowledge; how to find water, what plants are safe to eat, ways to hunt, things of that nature. She's a terrible swimmer, largely owing to her power's tendency to keep her away from getting wet.

Background: 
Tori’s childhood was altogether typical. She went to school, got middling grades, nothing special; her share of B’s and C’s, as well among other grades. When she was young, she and her parents, Frej and Auðgeir, went on a number of camping and wilderness survival trips. Icelandic immigrants both, they had a strong sense of patriotism and had both served a stint in the military. Auðgeir was still doing so, and was occasionally called away on campaigns. Because of this military experience, they put great stock in surviving when not able to rely on civilization. Tori was never a fan of these trips; she preferred to roam rambunctiously around the neighborhood with her friends, a definitive delinquent. 

When she was thirteen years old, she developed a fever that didn’t break. Somehow she seemed almost entirely unaffected by the temperature, other than making her more prone to eating and slightly more erratic. Her parents were beside themselves, and doctors had no idea what to make of it. Soon afterwards, fires began to behave strangely around her. This came to a head a few months ago, when she was lighting a fire on a cold night and it flared up, leaving her untouched. Luckily, nobody saw it, but she began to secretly experiment with fire when she was alone, and though people definitely noticed the incredible amount of food she consumed on a daily basis, nobody really thought to question it. She’d thought it was a perfectly-kept secret.
	Apparently, she was...mistaken.
