@Dragonydas@Kuro@BunniesOfDoom@LupusIntus Okay, wait, I'm trying to figure out the order of events here. Miyuki left after Iris lunged at Velvet, not before. So wouldn't any assistance to the scene have only come after Iris had been in wolf mode for a while? As I'm writing the beginnings of a post out I'm starting to realize that the order of events doesn't make a ton of sense. Otherwise Max would've seen Miyuki, right?

I feel like we should iron this out now before things get more confused. Tl;dr, wouldn't Iris spend a little bit of time ripping and tearing at Velvet before anybody else can intervene?

I have a personal hope that one day she and Velvet can get along, even if she's inimical. I feel like she'd take "I was starving and my instincts grabbed hold and wouldn't let go" better than Miyuki. She's far too pure for this sinful earth, after all.

@Dragonydas Ah, for what it's worth; Velvet is currently not savoring the blood. Rather, she's on her ass after being zooped by Suzy, thanking every entity above and below that Suzy decided to help her and that Max throws a better Wagyu fastball than anybody reasonably should, so she's not absolutely shredded. Wide-eyed, not so much frightened as shocked.

Velvet can be dumb, especially when she's hungry. But to stand there savoring as a werewolf jumps at her with intent to kill? She's not THAT dumb.

When she can, she VASTLY prefers fresh stuff. She can live off hospital stuff just fine, but it's like drinking milk that's been left out overnight. Not dangerous, but not ideal. She usually asks permission very explicitly, though (sorry, Miyuki!).

Keep Velvet's usual food source as far away from the condo as you possibly can. You do NOT want her to start associating Max with tasty blood any more than is already present.

I have an arc planned for Velvet after this that sees her going to Shoggoth Therapy and I'm excited to get into her ageless head for a bit with someone else.
