As the duo approached the door, the blonde male blinked curiously, his gaze meeting the young male that confronted them at the door. Raising a brow in slight annoyance, he'd take his unfinished cigarette and position it between his fingers as if about to flick it off.

"Liam." The darker haired one spoke, causing his friend to pause for a moment with a sigh and a nod. Walking over, he'd tossed the paper roll in the ash tray as the other entered the door. Eyeing over the kid that seemed to work here, the dark haired man gave a slight bow of his head, "Our mistake." The blonde male quickly followed after, doing his best to avoid even acknowledging the one who had confronted him earlier as he made his way to sit beside his acquaintance. Once they were seated, they remained quiet, simply over looking the cafe curiously as they spotted all manner of people- most appeared younger then themselves, save a few. Though not speaking, the males cast a knowing look at each other, the older closing his eyes slowly.

A second later, the cafe's doors would open, the darker haired male -once seated with his eyes closed- opening the door nonchalantly, looking about the cafe calmly before making his way to his now empty seat. Liam's eyes kept trained upon him, flickering about the cafe as if looking for something as his partner retook his seat.

"Matthew." Liam spoke, meeting the gaze of his partner. Sure enough, Matt's form seemed to waiver and flicker- those who had become empowered would notice his image faultering like a bad signal on a tv. They could tell he was there, but his form seemed to be scattered subtle about him for a moment before settling back to normal. With that, the males sat in silence and waited.
@Zelosse When you said engage, didn't think you meant in combat... Isn't it a little early to let the chaos fly?

"So, what do you think?" A dark haired man spoke out, walking along a quiet street with a blond haired male of slightly younger age at his side. The duo have been pacing for awhile now, keeping their eyes open for something quite intently, though not making mention of it. This patrol has been taking some time, finding the morning fading fast into noon as the city streets were alive with the traffic of others. Despite this, neither of the male's seemed phased, their eyes focused ahead.

"Not much to think about. If you had told me this a couple of days ago, I would've called you insane. But the fact that it happened to me as well-" The blonde haired male shrugged his shoulders, "Well, we have to assume we're not the only ones." With that, the male would reach into his pocket, drawing out a rectangle shaped box and opening the top with his thumb. Raising the vessel to his lips, he'd pull back the carton before offering it to the older male at his side- a fresh cigarette positioned on his lips. The brunette male, took the carton and did the same before returning, pulling a lighter from his pocket and igniting the paper cylinder as he inhaled a drag. The two continued on in silence for a little while longer.

"So, took the day off?" The brunette spoke again.

"Yeah, who wouldn't? Fall asleep one night, wake up with supernatural powers? Kind of overwhelming, and still somewhat bad ass." A couple of people who passed the blonde male could only cast him strange looks and cautious glances.

The other sighed, "Just let everyone know... Still, we need to keep our eyes open."

"Especially yourself. I'm still trying to get over how you look. I mean you look normal mostly, but -at times- it's like looking through a kaleidoscope."

"Yeah, I know. It's not good, but what can you do?" With this final exchange, the man flicked the butt of his cigarette on the ground as he began looking around, "Where should we start looking?" His gaze shortly landed on his comrade, raising a brow curiously as he saw the male sniffing the air, "Really? When you got your powers, did you turn into a dog yourself?"

"Maybe... I don't know. Just I smell coffee, and it is still morning you know. Gotta get my fix."

With a chuckle, the brunette nodded, making his way towards the cafe as he signaled the other to follow, "Fair enough. You're buying."

As the remainder of the forces begin to settle back down into camp, the four warriors are left to their own devices. While there seems to be nothing of not going on at the camp at the moment, they can see that the troops are starting to ready to depart. Shortly after, Robin and the Summoner emerge from the command tent. Oddily enough, they seem to move towards the trio of Arus, Robert, and Erion, stopping just shy of the three.

"It's good to see your still with us," Robin spoke, looking over to Arus as he nods slightly, "I was afraid we'd lose many more due to morale."

"We still lost a good few. It will be a rough trip the rest of the way." The oddly dressed summoner spoke, folding his arms beneath his cloak as he began gazing about the camp, "We'll have to travel slower, and probably divert from the roads."

"I have an idea... And just hear me out," Robin spoke, turning his attention to the summoner, "I know you dismissed it back in the tent-"

"And I will dismiss it now. The fact we have an audience will not help bolster your stance. We will not be staying here any longer then we have to."

"The troops are weary, the people are scared, and we have been traveling non-stop. We both know we cannot survive with our troops spirit broken." Robin interjects, seeming resolute as the two begin to discuss this out in the open.

"So you'd rather just have us sit here, waiting for death to come to us while we drink and make merry? For a strategist, you are a fool." With that, the summoner turns back to the camp while his blue robed ally stands erect with a heavy sigh.

"Well, that's that I guess..." And with that, Robin turns to Arus as he leans in and whispers to him (will be pmed) before turning back and heading to the same tent as the summoner. Those who look about can see another scouting party has made it to camp. Arus recognizes one of the group as a dancer from his realm, but it will be up to him to place the name. However, this adds a few more bodies to the camps lowering numbers.

A few minutes pass, the silence of the camp broken by the rustling and bustling of troops preparing for their trek. However, the subtle noise is suddenly broke by the camps crier.

"People oof Ivalice, and our guests from Ylisse! The commanders have proclaimed that tonight will be without task. You are free to commune with your family and prepare for travels on the morrow!" With that, an odd silence settles, all the while the soldiers begin glancing about one another as they attempt to make sense of what was just spoken.
