Well, I didn't see how I could resolve it without someone dying other than pinning Sebastian somehow.

It's good, but I'm tired out, so I might not be able to reply. Someone else, like @Lord Santa's characters, might have to rescue our Big Bad.

Yeah, I get ya, and Cedric will still lose; he had to get rescued by his subordinates, and that's a little humiliating.

Yeah, Archmage already took on the role of rescuer in Sync.in.
@Everyone, note: The collab I and Savato posted might be edited in the future, but right now, I'm not satisfied with what I think is an ass pull. As in, I thought it would be worse for the story if the Big Good was defeated in his first battle, but this way of averting defeat is just...meh.
