Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

IS there anything anyone needs to post? I know who I'm waitinbg for but I'm going to have Koren doing nefarious things anyway.

Nothing for Ken yet; he's waiting for Lez, but he can do something if need be.
Anyway, this is my idea for the constituency of Aurelia's Opposition Party:

- The remaining rich fucks in the Philippines and their tenants.
- Corrupt Worker Co-Operatives in Subic and other coastal regions (The Subic guys do not know Aurelia has cast them off yet).
- Rural guys who have a lot of spare time at night, but cannot use it because of the darkness.
- Urban guys seeking the prosperity of the Americas.
Things I am prepared to change about Leonard and his faction:

- The armament of Gamechanger; we can just have it be without weapons or have only a few lasers.
- The ability of Gamechanger to use tractor beams to draw in solid matter to melt down and use to manufacture new droids/equipment.
- The number of droids/clones.
- The reduction of Droideka Mk. IIs and Leonard-class assault tanks to a handful of units (100 - 200) or even editing it so that they never made it past the design stage; they can be made in RP.
- Leonard's possession of a special Spice that allows him Jedi-level reflexes and sight (which in hindsight is patently ridiculous, even if it did appear in Legends).

What I want to keep:

- Huge amounts of credits.
- The designs for the Droideka Mk.II and the Assault Tank.
- Some factory capability for Gamechanger.
- Some cloning chambers and Kaminoan expertise.
Faction Logo(If applicable):

Faction Name: Scipio Industries and Finance.

Faction Classification: Independent Warlord masquerading as a Corporation and Bank.

Faction Leader: Leonard L. Scipio.

Faction Members(Players):

Important NPCs:

Faction Assets: (Ships, strongholds, manpower, credits, access to weaponry. Last three can be rough estimates)

The Gamechanger - A Venator-class Star Destroyer that was retrofitted to serve as a factory ship, the Gamechanger now serves as Leonard L. Scipio's home and the centre of his operations. Thanks to Leonard's money, the ship is brimming with weaponry both common and special; lasers, ion cannons, torpedoes, and turbolasers. Not merely that, but it can use tractor beams to attract small asteroids, pieces of scrap metal, or even enemy starfighters and small craft into its depths; living pilots are taken for interrogation while droids and vehicles are melted down to create new ground troops and starfighters once the battle is over - it cannot use its armament and forges at the same time.

L/AAT Shuttlesx6 - Imperial Transports bought and smuggled to the Corporate Sector before Leonard's exile.

Seperatist Troop Transport - An old Seperatist troop transport modernized with new armor and shields.

Ground Assets: 100,000 Battle Droids, 1000 Droidekas, 2000 Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters, 20 Leonard-class Assault Tank (named after himself but using a Star Wars Legends Template), 400 other war machines made up of 'modernized' versions of Galactic Republic and Seperatist Technology.

Credits: A huge amount, stored in digital accounts and shell corporations, to rival a Moff.

Access to Weaponry: The Lastrefuge can manufacture weapons.

Faction History: Scipio Industries and Finance has been turned out of the Corporate Sector and forced into the opposite side of the Galaxy, but now plans to use its remaining assets, not limited to huge amounts of credits, to turn the current conflict to their advantage...
Name: Leonard L. Scipio.

Species: Human

Age: 24.

Appearance:

Faction: Scipio Industries and Finance, (Subgroup of the Corporate Sector Authority)

Equipment: A Personal Energy Shield, a Vibroblade with Cortosis Alloy, an Electro-Whip, and a Blaster. He also has an injector that contains a form of Spice that allows him to see Blaster Bolts coming and move fast enough to parry them.

Skills:

Combat: Leonard L. Scipio is a close-range fighter first and foremost, despite his blaster. Trained in the art of bladed and unarmed combat, Scipio fights like a Dark Jedi without actually accessing the Force. This is because of his access to a potent form of Spice that, as mentioned, increases his sight and reflexes to the level of a Force-wielder.

Non-Combat: Leonard L. Scipio is a weapons designer, financier, economist, and strategist who is good at seeking ways to profit from a situation, as well as manipulating accounts in order to control the flow of cash to and from people, places, and organizations. He also knows Droidspeak.

Weaknesses:

Spice Addiction: Leonard L. Scipio is addicted to the special form of Spice that he uses, to the point where after 24 hours, he will begin suffering convulsions, vertigo, sudden cravings, and other withdrawal symptoms if not given his special Spice. Said spice also reduces his cognitive and reasoning abilities when he takes them, forcing him to rely on instinct.

Gambler: Leonard L. Scipio is someone who takes insane risks for instant profits. He is willing to play double games with both the New Republic and Empire, or even try and bribe Believer cells away from Cinder and Cipher if it will give him the slightest chance at achieving a dominant position.

Arrogance: He thinks he is the next Thrawn. He is not; enough said.

History: Leonard L. Scipio's parents were ex-members of the Intergalactic Banking Clan who, despite being part of the Pro-Galactic Republic faction, were forced to flee to the Corporate Sector anyway when the Galactic Empire was established.

Pursued by the Empire, which was already starting to encroach on the autonomous worlds of the region, Scipio's parents retained vast riches, riches that they used to encourage the efforts of the various star systems in the area to form a unified entity; the Corporate Sector Authority. And thus, Leonard was born to wealth, privilege, and high status; his parents were now safe, and seemed to successfully rebuild their lives.

From an early age, Leonard was trained under the finest tutors, who saw in the young man a quick and sharp mind of high intelligence, but also coldness, cruelty, and greed. There was no attempt made to fix this, as some of those qualities were desired in the Corporate Sector.

At age thirteen, Leonard designed a new tank, the Leonard-class Assault tank, showing his talent to his parents. Said parents, now the owners of a major Bank dedicated to 'fostering innovation and progress', were delighted, and in an unusual gift, gave Leonard the seed capital to form his own Corporation. Predictably, he went into arms manufacturing, making and selling not just his tanks, but also new and improved buzz droids, diamond-boron torpedoes, and mobile shield generators. But as he grew older, Leonard realized he wanted more; to test his creativity beyond robotics. And so, against his parents' wishes, he made contact with some of the remaining cloners of Kamino and offered them a new facility in Corporate Sector space. He was sixteen then.

Only one Kaminoan accepted Leonard's offer, not enough for building even the smallest cloning chamber. But this Kaminoan, Pau Je, taught him much about biology and how genetic engineering can make soldiers and officers much better than droids can ever be. Entranced by her teachings, Leonard began to entertain notions about creating an army of his own, combining the best traits of the Galactic Republic and Separatist technology and battle doctrine. His parents may have objected, but before they can speak up, they had a convenient 'speeder accident'; killing them and giving Leonard full control of their bank and the colossal amount of credits within.

A rapid rise to power followed, during which Leonard made partnerships and acquisitions; the former were betrayed when they became too inconvenient, the latter taken with such force that people soon began whispering that perhaps Leonard was becoming too powerful too quickly.

But Leonard only cared enough to plan contingencies for his escape. With as much secrecy as he can muster, the young man, now 20, bought a Venator-class Star destroyer that was retrofitted into a factory/mining ship and loaded it with luxury living quarters and a huge amount of treasure and armaments. He also began setting up shell corporations in Hutt Space at the other end of the Galaxy and tried to gain the favor of the various members of the Hutt Clan. He even managed to acquire a new form of Spice from them that allowed him to equal a Force User's reflexes despite not being able to access the Force himself...

And so, when the other vested interests of the Corporate Sector Authority moved against him, Leonard fled to this ship, activated the Hyperdrive, and sailed off to Hutt Space. There, still flush with credits, he would set up a new branch of Scipio Industries and Finance, ready to do business with the next batch of potential pawns. There were plenty of them; the New Republic, the Imperial Remnant, and even the Believers.

He was going to have fun, and one of the first things he did was send out his minions to capture a Drunk Dug with a gambling problem to torture to death for his amusement...
Edited post.
Iron Lady, Part Seven - Midterm Madness

As Priscilla bought groceries in the Public Market, she couldn't help but hear chatter of what the new Opposition party, the May 25th Movement, were doing. She also couldn't help but look at the election posters and billboards that Aurelia had put up in Manila itself, posters with a simple promise even she can appreciate:

Vote for the May 25th Movement and Vote for Nationwide Lighting.

These posters were centred around pictures of a lightbulb illuminating rural and urban homes alike, no bias towards either. A nice touch, and it had Priscilla preparing to concede several points of the Opposition program, namely the fact that they can provide electricity if they wanted to, while she would find it...harder despite her position as Head of State. While she paid the accustomed price for the food, Irene would put her hand on her Lady President's shoulders, saying, "Let's end this early; no use seeing you worried."

------

Priscilla would find two people just outside her home, courteously waiting for her. The first was Isaiah Macadangdang, the main organizer of her Youth Leagues, and the second was Diego Gomez, the Senate Majority leader. Both were clad in the Filipino Barong Tagalog, a transluscent white formal shirt made up of pineapple fibres, and black Philippine Silk trousers. The Iron Lady gave a sigh, and spoke to the two: "It is about Aurelia, isn't it? If so, come on in."

Still in her simple clothing, Priscilla served tea and pastries to Isaiah and Diego as they sat down, before saying: "We are going to let democracy work, and we are going to fight within the bounds of democracy. If we are to preserve a majority in Congress, we will do it fairly."

Isaiah, a young, fresh-faced man who had just reached his mid-twenties, sighed at that. Diego, who was older with a more hardened expression that made him intimidating to others, implored, "Lady President, Democracy only goes so far; if we give power to reactionaries, it will end only in the undoing of the great work we've done to make things in the nation as a whole more fair. I don't even get why the people are seriously discussing Aurelia's...pitch. Haven't we given them enough?"

Priscilla stared at them, her glasses sharpening her gaze. She would then say, "We are entitled to what we give; we treat others the way we wish to be treated. But our ability to provide has limits; all governments encounter that problem." A humble admission. "But I have a plan around that, a plan that will blunt their offensive."

A smile. "We are going to co-opt their project. We are going to be humble, cooperative, and we are going to turn this concession of power into an avowal of our love and a declaration of modesty. We will let them bring electricity to the people, but on our terms. We will force them to compromise, we will force them to accept that we have a role to play, we will make them concede at least half of our points every time they propose a bill...and we will be the healthier for it. We are a Democracy and we will fight in a democratic manner; autocratic methods are only in extremis."

Isaiah was the first to catch on. "What would you want them to concede, then? You are prepared to let them bring Electricity, but what do you want from them in return?"

Priscilla smiled at that. "The one thing we have been focusing on since the liberation of our country. Defense." Elaborating further, she would then say: "If they can shell out enough money for an electric grid, they can surely shell out more for weapons and contacts that can hand us those weapons. Ethiopia strangely has an Indian Ocean fleet; we will try and see if we can charm them into parting with a few of their obsolete boats..."

The Brother's War, Part Four; Iron Lady, Part Six

Priscilla Aglipay-Rizal sighed at Sabiha a week later as the two met for tea. "If your husband had just brought Cameras and waited for the Letters of Marque you had when conducting his Vigilante raid, we would not be dealing with a diplomatic protest from 'Mubarak Kiram' right now. As it is, word has arrived from Marawi; the Muslim Congress of Mindanao has strongly condemmned the raid, judging it harmful to our legal case for the inclusion of Sabah into the Philippine nation. And to be honest, it is; I may believe that Mubarak was planning to move illegally first, that he is an usurper, and he is not worthy to be Sultan of Sabah...but I cannot condone the unwarranted raid against his ships without concrete evidence of his plans. And again, without your husband receiving his Letters of Marque which I know you planned to give him."

Sabiha knew she had no ground to stand on. She knew her husband; the raid would have seemed a good idea to him. Calm and intellectual Al-Hakam Kiram may be, but he was still a pirate deep inside; she loved that about him.

Sighing, the Sultana said, "And it would be against your morals and 'international law' to shield us from the consequences of our actions."

Priscilla nodded. "My power comes from legitimacy. Legitimacy comes from the people. When the people are taken advantage of, or when the rulers fail to explain their actions adequately, then they must be kept responsible. So I have to act; despite the strain this will cause to our friendship." A sigh as the brunette felt the weight of hard but moral decisions on her shoulders. "I have already signed the order for your Husband's banishment from Philippine Territory. He will keep his powers as the spiritual head of the Philippines' Muslims, but only that. Also, his properties and assets in Sulu will be frozen as well and transferred to a new worker's co-operative chosen from people without connection to Subic Bay. The rest of his family and followers, however, have the choice to stay in the Islands unmolested instead of following him; their property will remain untouched."

Sabiha's reply was, "You know that we act as one in this matter, Lady President. Nothing will really change in our covert activities; just a resuffling of legal identities and cover." She then gave a faint smile as the light made her multicolored headscarf glitter. "You know, the Sulu Sea is dangerous at the best of times. What will transport my husband to his place of banishment?"

Priscilla pulled a set of photographs from her long skirt; it showed a bunch of merchant vessels newly-built at the Cavite Naval Yards. Not as big as the merchant vessels made by the richer nations, but reasonably large...and more importantly, able to carry military materiel as well as serve as mortar and machine gun platforms. Her next words to Sabiha were, "Choose three suitable vessels to carry your husband and his followers. Choose three smaller ships as a makeshift escort as well."

"Then I pick this one, and this one, and this one," Sabiha took three photographs of large but still sleek merchant vessels, "And this model of small boat for the escort." She picked a small vessel barely big enough to withstand the stresses of the ocean. This flotilla as a whole can fit 250 men and women. The Lady President is really pushing the limits on helping us. A question came to her mind; "So, where do you get the iron and steel needed to build the ships? Lady Trung still has control of some of Vietnam's iron ore?"

A nod, "That and trade with the Dutch whose model we've adopted. And semi-legal, unregulated trade with Australia. Now, are you going to delve into every nuance of our external foriegn exchanges, or are you going to enjoy the pastries? They're Halal, after all."

"I will after a few minutes," Sabiha said, "I still have a few questions. Namely, where will my husband be banished to? There are few places we can go."

Priscilla smiled, "Anthony Dayrell Walter Brooke has agreed to house your Sultan and his followers for the time being. I hope they are good houseguests to him." As expected, the Rajah of Sarawak was involved in this entire charade; Priscilla had just donated him an army against Sabhan aggression. A thought came to Sabiha, who asked:

"Has the Sultan of Brunei talked to you about the situation with The Usurper? Last time I heard, Sabah was threatening to annex Brunei if they don't lower oil prices." Sabiha saw Priscilla frown at that, before she said:

"I received the news this morning; Brunei has agreed to Sabah's terms." The Lady President then sighed. "Its Sultan has also condemned your husband's attack; so do not expect support from that direction..."
