Imitation of Ame-no-Nuboko - A ceremonial spear that Crown Prince Shinyahito has named after the ancient jeweled spear used by the creator deities Izanagi and Izanami from Japanese Mythology to create the Japanese Archipelago.

Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Melee, Void, Close-Range.

Noble Arm Abilities:

Mū Shoku Zenchishiki (Void That Consumes Knowledge) - When the Crown Prince touches a single object, person, or location with the speartip (not necessarily stabbing) of his Noble Arm, he sees, and can sort through without going insane, the memories and experiences of the target. Note however that sorting through does not make him able to understand everything he finds out right away. When used on himself, he can also see possible timelines and worlds where he and his sister and certain individuals in this setting do not exist at all; many of those worlds do not have Noble Arms.

That last ability is fairly useless in battle and information gathering but helps boost his self-esteem by giving him glimpses of worlds where things are much worse than they are right now. It is speculated that he can eventually refine this ability to show futures where just one specific person did not exist or died in the very next second, but that is conjecture.

Munakatanashi / Yarubekikata (Unmaking and Remaking) - The Crown Prince can stab himself with his weapon and unmake himself, dissolving his body into nothingness and making all memories, monuments, pictures, and written + computerized records of himself vanish (this can be resisted with the right Noble Arm). However, unmaking is not the same as death, and the Crown Prince can will himself to rematerialize literally anywhere in the world that he knows from pictures or personally visited; restoring people's memories and all monuments, pictures, and written + computerized records of his existence. This process also heals any injuries and wounds he has.

Misc Abilities:

Etiquette and Ceremony - Crown Prince Shinyahito Yamato lived a regimented life, filled with ceremonies and rituals, which he studied with genuine interest.

Literature Enthusiaist - The Crown Prince is a fan of stories of all kinds, especially Light Novels, even the ones so badly-written that he feels the need to mock them in private. Has a love-hate relationship with Isekai fiction while also writing poetry and drafting his own novel, which he plans to publish under a false name.

Martial Arts Training (Polearms) - With great reluctance, the Crown Prince has learned to use his spear as a practical weapon, even though he prefers using it as an analytical tool.

Political Backing - His sister wants the Succession Laws changed so she can inherit should he die; he's not blind to the implications. If she succeeds, it would be at his sufferance and not just because of her efforts, and so he keeps contacts and allies in Japan's Imperial Diet, just in case.

Personality: The Crown Prince would rather not ascend to the throne of Emperor of Japan; he would prefer to just study, read, and write, and maybe play videogames if he can hide it from the public. However, he does not want the throne to pass to another branch of the Family or his younger sister, Fuyuko Yamato, whom he views as 'too militaristic', to get the throne and perhaps push an agenda that would further shred Japan's slightly pacifist constitution, or bring back old-style imperialists who look back on Japan's days as a colonial power with nostalgia. At the same time, he doesn't hate his sister; he knows her views might be different than she seems to indicate. So who knows, maybe he'll give her the chance she needs...

Fears: Over-regimentation, Death, Societal Collapse.

Bio: Born one day after his cousin Prince Hishahito of Akishino (an IRL figure) to Naruhito of Japan, the birth of Shinyahito raised shockwaves throughout the Imperial Family. Raised with immense expectations, Shinyahito faced the barely-hidden resentment of his sister, born one year after him, and his nation's continued population decline and political malaise.

As he grew up, he realized that he did not want to be Emperor, but had to hide it, even from himself. His Noble Arm grew not when he was subjected to trauma or a 'trigger event', but when he realized that as much as he just wanted to hide from the world and become a hikkikomori (yes, embarrassing), not only was that not on the table, but he cared too much to allow other people to take the Throne and pursue outlandish agendas that involved bringing back Japan's darker past.

When he unlocked the Imitation of Ame-no-Nuboko, he was pushed into competition with his younger sister, whose ambitions and militaristic attitude were obvious for all to see, but managed to keep things civil, maybe even cordial, between them. When China began its war of aggression against ASEAN after the Philippine Government of National Salvation displaced the previous leadership, Shinyahito journeyed to the Philippines as well, avoiding his father's displeasure by stabbing himself with his spear, unmaking himself, then remaking himself in the regions surrounding Baguio City, hoping to find refuge in the Japanese emigré community near Kennon Road.

The Danggal Clan found him, and as they were still pretending to be loyal to the PGNS, they gave him a hospitable welcome, using up stockpiled food and luxury goods to throw a banquet for him, not noticing that he found that wasteful in wartime. Gradually, he realized that they were planning to betray the PGNS if bribed enough, and also hand him over to China if the price was right. So he unmade himself yet again and remade himself in the Philippine Military Academy building, which was under siege by traitorous forces led by the Danggal Clan.

A metaphorical baptism of fire followed, and now he is fighting in a campiagn he does not want, but knows he must see through...

Personality: Rex is an eternally curious boy who chases after knowledge and new experiences, a loyal son and brother who genuinely loves his family and does not get why others' families don't love each other. A fan of Anime and Manga, as well as video games, Rex's curiosity has has gotten him interested in the 'Isekai' genre even though he personally sees most works that have it as badly-written; entertaining, yet badly-written. Reading earlier works with protagonists transported to another world that did not turn into power fantasy and instead gave people actual challenges made it clear that something had changed to make those stories more popular; are people just seeking to avoid reality nowadays?

Honestly, he could not blame them. Even with his family's wealth, he can't solve every problem... He'd seen what it did to his brother.

History: Rex was born to a rich family with some Asian blood (Japanese). Contrary to cliches, his parents were not too strict, not dysfunctional, and drama was kept to a minimum. He had a brother, Reed, who was a genius, a good person, generous and loving to everyone, including him. Rex was not neglected, his brother and parents loved him, but at the same time, as he grew up, he saw that Reed was getting more stressed, not from his obligations as the heir to his family, but due to a dire need to help. People were suffering both here and in the rest of the world, and Reed was doing everything he can to provide aid without burdening his own family, all the while falling into a sadness and depression that was kept hidden as best as it could.

It was when Rex saw his brother crying in his room that the teen realized: His brother didn't know that he had limits. That he needed to be helped and not just help. And that someone needed to step up before something tragic happened to his loving family.

Rex resolved to be that someone; hardly conductive to long disapperances, right? Either way, he began managing his brother's schedule with his parents' permission, keeping him away from 'friends' and various false charities that were asking him for money, and outright telling his brother to cut back on the news viewing, or at the very least, to focus on positive projects that do actual good that he can see, such as support for land and soil restoration efforts and planting new forests and building orphanages and homeless shelters. Reed's condition improved, but it was clear that he was going to have to take care of him as a long-term project, and that left less time for his friends, who had their own troubles.

So be it, but first, he was going to try and see if his friends would like to help him take care of his brother; or if he can do something for them, too...

Magic

Magical Form:
Identical to his form in Apperance, only his 'cosplay' gear is actual armor and his boots can stand the rigors of combat.

Weapon: Two curved swords.

Abilities:

Rex can control the wind, launching gale-force, or even hurricane-force gusts of wind at a foe, create miniature tornadoes to shield himself or as another means of attack, and has fine-enough control to draw the air from another being's lungs. He can also fly as fast as a small civilian helicopter, as well as sense miniature changes in temperature, moisture and air pressure around him.

Companion

Name: Solomon the Owl.

Appearance:
Like Owl from Winnie the Pooh.

Personality: Solomon the Owl was a scholar and sorcerer-wizard of immense renown that others came to for help, and he loved helping. He also loved to accumulate knowledge, and eventually, when faced with the threat of The Corruption, he went off not just to discover more about it, but to find a way to stop it. Instead, he failed and was cursed, but he knew that one day, a group of people will come from another world and break said curse... He just had to be patient.

Until then, time to be a bit of a know-it-all...

Rise of Rasalhague

"I am never disrespecting good infantry again," Alvin said as he shot the H-4K (sometimes called the Hermes-III)'s two large lasers at the Hunchback's legs, relying on someone else to fire at the Jump Troopers and the demolition charges they were setting. As the Hunchback's legs were hit and molten metal began to slough off from some of the myomer, causing it to buckle under its weight, he knew that the battle was essentially won unless the demo charges were set off, and that was not going to happen as long as Jaromir, Remy, and Hamazap shot at the Jump Troopers.

Speaking of which...

"We should recruit a support battalion of our own Jump Troopers if we make it big," the young man spoke up over comms. "If they can annoy us, they can annoy our foes. Now, can someone swat these pests?"

This day started bad and went worse, but now there was a moment that made it all worth it. Shame he could find only a few words for it, but it seemed as though there was a future for him in this outfit after all. That, and he got the Hunchback - Fuka's next shots may finish it off, but it was his own that made it a non-threat.

He can live with that, he supposed.

Noble Arm Rank: (We redid how ranks work; now instead of just a single rank, each NA has six attributes that have their own ranks, which can either be very weak, aka E or D, or stronger than that, B or A. This means that an NA can be weak in some aspects while strong in others. Extended descriptions of what these mean can be found on the Discord Server, in the first thread from "Character and Power Building." Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Melee, No Element.

Noble Arm Abilities:

Unecessary - As a Noble Arm that grew from the realization that one did not need one to be special, Hindi Kailangan is unable to give more than basic Arms Master Survivability and its own sharp edge and almost indestructible structure to help Lorenzo. On the plus side, he can use it as an ordinary weapon unlimited times.

Misc Abilities: Lorenzo is a talented soldier and commander, skilled at unarmed combat, and melee combat with blunt sticks and his sword, and is a good shooter and sniper, He also knows enough strategy, tactics, and logistics to lead a small army.

Personality: The central aspect of Lorenzo is that he realizes he does not need a Noble Arm to be special; oh, sure, the fact that he has one is an edge, but he can be special without it, and so he uses it as little as possible to prevent himself from getting dependent on it. Before this, however, Lorenzo used to be jealous of Arms Masters to the point where he sympathized with the Disablers, a moment that he considers cringe in hindsight. Nevertheless, Lorenzo secretly fears the moment when he might forget his lesson and grow to depend on even the meager abilities his Noble Arm grants him, or even the social advantages having one gives him in circles.

But another part of him hopes to find a way to grow again, so that his Noble Arm could gain new powers that though not necessary to be special, are necessary for final victory against the foes facing the Philippines - He only has one country, after all...

*Likes: Trips to the Gym, Swimming, Melee Weapons, Guns.

*Dislikes: Depending on his Noble Arm, people who are too dependent on their Noble Arms, the concept of depending on something to be special.

Fears: Forgetting the lesson that a Noble Arm is not required to be special. Stagnating because of said fear and potentially losing an opportunity to turn the tide because of that.

Bio: He was born to an ordinary middle-class family, studied in an ordinary school, barely got into college, and all the while, yearned to be special. He wanted to be an Arms Master so badly yet he did not want to make any moves that might cripple him for life. This indecision made him depressed, straining his friendships to the point of breaking, and for a brief moment, he decided to hate all Arms Masters.

Then he saved a drowning child from a flood two years before the start of the ASEAN War, and as the two of them swam to shore in the dirty, muddy water, helped up by professional rescue teams, Lorenzo realized that he didn't need to have a Noble Arm to be special - Courage and the determination to save lives was enough. This realization got him a Noble Arm anyway.

Now he faced the opposite problem; the Noble Arm he had manifested had some potential, but how can he unlock it without forgetting the lessons and growth that had given him that power in the first place? He had no interest in unlocking that anyway, lest he lose the courage he had gained by depending on the great power it held. So he fettered himself, all the while knowing that he was denying himself a strength that others would envy.

He joined the army and rose the ranks, retaining humility and approachability that endeared him to the rank-and-file and other Arms Masters. Then the ASEAN War struck and things were no longer the same. All of a sudden, he needed that power locked behind his magic sword, but the risk of dependence, of egotism, of losing what grounded him... How can he avoid that risk while unlocking the power of his Noble Arm?

At least he rose to First Lieutenant on his own merits; now he is commanding a force of Arms Masters and ordinary folk, all of them brimming with the potential to be heroes and change things, to the Siege of Baguio and the downfall of the Danggal Family/Clan...

*Current Goal: See his duties through to the end. Find a way to simultaneously remind himself that he does not need his Noble Arm to be special while unlocking the hidden power of said Noble Arm.
