Once upon a time, I used to cheer for May the 4th... now I cry with disappointment. *Except Clone Wars S7 and the Mandalorian - they are awesome*

As the trilopod screeched towards its armored opponent, he was unaware of the newcomer that was fast approaching his location. So when he felt the large explosion rock its left shoulder, it reeled in utter surprise. Fire had consumed that portion of his body yet he still kept put, only turning towards the new opponent who entered the fray with its red insectoid eyes. Ultraman also turned towards the figure with visible confusion as he attempt to figure him out.

"Who's he?" he thought to himself as he continued standing in battle position.

With his attention interrupted, the kaiju beast began to focus on the warrior and screeched loudly towards him. It rose those hook appendages and smashed them down to the ground as it prepared to attack this unwanted intruder. But once it commenced to charge towards him, its chest glowing in volatile energy, it'd fail to dodge out of the way of another tank which exploded right under its head and opposite shoulder. The rippling explosion caught the monster off-guard as it was taken back by the movement, shrieking in utter agony as yellowish-green blood spilled from his wounds. Its chest had been nearly blasted-open by the tank - leaving that beam attack useless - and its right arm had been ripped clean off by the explosion. Its other arm still hung from its socket but it was badly burnt and hung from just a few major strands of muscle and meast.

This was the perfect opportunity for Ultraman to finish the job.

Dashing behind the hulking beast, Jiro went in for the attack as he used his specium blades to quickly decapacitate it from its armed hook. The trilopod screeched again as it flailed its body in absolute confusion. With his opponent now defenseless, it was time for Ultraman to take it out for good. Quickly, he went into a kneeling posture and placed his arms into a cross-like position. The mortally-injured beast took note of its opponent's position however and commenced to make a mad-dash towards him with absolute rage and abhorrence.

But unfortunately for it, it would be rendered useless as Jiro swiped his vertical arm to the side.

"You're finished!" the armored hero yelled as a beam of plasma-energy expelled from his horizontal arm.

The beam made a direct hit with the monster's belly, stopping it dead in its tracks as it simply stood there motionlessly. A few seconds later and its body would split in two, before violently erupting into a large explosion.

The trilopod was no more - disappearing as soon as it arrived.

Ultraman's chest light began to flicker red as he attempted to catch his breath. He'd then look at the direction of where the newcomer laid, unconscious on the ground with his head bleeding profusely. Quickly he rushed over to assess the damage, shaking him gently to hopefully get him to be conscious.

"Oi - are you ok?" he called to him.

Figuring that he'll not be getting a response, he looked over his shoulder towards the police and called for their assistance.

"I NEED AN AMBULANCE HERE, NOW!" he shouted as he continued comforting the fallen warrior.
Will get a post out soon!

Old Friends Collide

As Geno attempted to insert the regular key into the gate's lock, he would find that there was in fact no lock to be found at all. He looked all around the surrounding area, desperately trying to find a hint of where the other lock could be hidden. Yet it wouldn't be until he placed his eyes beyond the confines of the metal bars, where he finally found the lock. Unfortunately for him however, it laid on the other side of where he stood. And it was just out of reach for Geno to press as well. How smart of them. Looks like the new inhabitants did a good job in keeping their foes at bay with their new security measures.

Still, Geno believed he could get through. Utilizing his light disks, the Star Warrior threw them at the gate, hoping they would cut through the gate like they did with the previous one. And to his dismay...

Nothing.

Something about those bars prevented him from dealing any damage to it. Were they blessed or cursed to where they are indestructible? Did they absolutely require the user to by pass through basic puzzle-solving and trying to find an alternate way pass it? Maybe he can find a secret passage away or something? Surely there'd got to be one hiding around here, right?

But as Geno began to inspect the dungeon for another way out, he'd once again turn his attention to the ominous Bowser Gate. He found himself glaring at it for longer than he liked, but he couldn't turn away from it either. Something about it was calling to him. Whatever was inside required his absolute attention. He had absolutely no clue to what lurked within - only believing something bad must be inside - but it came to the point where he couldn't take the suspense any longer. Whatever it was keeping within, it must be most surely priceless - or extremely dangerous in that matter. After all, he had the key, and who knows how long it will take for Bowser and his crew to arrive. He closed his eyes before taking a deep breath.

"Forgive me, sire." he thought to himself.

Plucking the Koopa King's key from under his hat, the wooden doll proceeded to insert the golden key into the first lock. He'd cringe tightly as it clattered on the ground with an echoing thud. Geno would pause for a moment - as if he's almost regretting this situation - before continuing to release the other locks. Once they were all unlocked, he placed his wooden hand upon the metallic sheen of the great door, before slowly pushing it open with all his strength. It's piercing metallic frame shrieked as it slid against the stone-floor, ceasing only until thumping against the moldy walls.

Glaring into the room before him, the star warrior was welcomed to a dark abyss - lighted only by the vague torch-light which bore upon the walls. It definitely lived up to being incredibly forbidding. Geno would proceed to slowly, yet cautiously, walk inside - with each step bombastically echoing through the entire chamber. Now the musty-air was much more prominent, as if the room hadn't been properly used in years. Yet as he continued to walk farther in, he noticed something near the back of the room. A shadow hung against the back wall. The doll couldn't tell what it represented at first, but as he got closer, the light began to reveal more clues about its identity. He can make out chains that jettisoned from the ground. No doubt they held something dangerous within.

But what exactly?

Another few steps forward and Geno can make out vague outlines of color illuminated by the light. He can identify hints of red around the top of what appears to be a figure, along with blue around the middle portion, and at the bottom, hints of brown that produced an ovular shape. And that's when it would hit him. A wave of sudden nostalgia flooded through his wooden head as he recalled the moments of days past.

Could it be?

The wooden doll would halt his advance suddenly, his eyes squinting to get a better picture of who this person must be. And that's when he finally spoke.

"Mario?" he asked curiously.

His answer was revealed once two glowing eyes of dangerous crimson pierced through the darkness - almost as if he responded to his call. Every shed of doubt was shaved from his wooden body as Geno looked upon his old friend. Except that it wasn't the Mario he knew. His eyes were glowing ominously red - just like the man with the two turrets guarding the Castle. And just like him, the legendary hero had seemed to have turned into just another mindless minion of the floating god. He'd feel himself sink upon this sudden realization.

"Mario..." he'd say somberly as he looked upon his now corrupted friend.

There was only one way he could potentially free him. And it wasn't something he's going to enjoy doing either. He began charging up his cannon, as well as revealed one of his light disks in his free hand, as he pointed the former at his old friend. But even then, his wooden joints began to shake the longer he pointed at him. Surely the real Mario was somewhere within that cold, heartless husk, right?

"If you can hear me..." he motioned softly, yet determinedly, "If you're really in there... you know who I am. And surely you know I mean you no harm. Nod twice if you can understand me."

It was his last ditch effort to determine the true outcome. But if it led into combat, then Geno will have to try his hardest to free his friend from his endless suffering.
Christmas came a little later for me but YESSSSSSSS!

@Stern Algorithm This wouldn't be bad either:

So, I'm guessing we are waiting for this collab that's going on before continuing?

(Today has been strangely quiet for me)

@Dealdric - Dirka

Within an instant, the God of Light would be presented with Dirka's demigod creation - another in the long line of her madness. Yet this one was rather... pathetic to him in many more ways then one. After plopping face first into the ground, he looked to the both of them with a sassy roll of his eyes. It became obnoxiously clear that he wasn't taught proper etiquette - whether Dirka really did create him, or brought him to life when he was nothing but a mere throw-away mortal. This soulless husk of a man - Rescorje he was called - looked more feral than tame. He had many questions to ask Dirka about how, who, and where he found or created him, but alas it wasn't his concern at this point.

The Mad Magician offered to him that while he took care of her demi-god son, she would help him in his project, or alternatively on both on a single project at a time. Hyperion would raise his arm to hail her.

"My project is mine alone to yield." he responded bluntly, "All I need is the holy magic. But, if by any means I am forced to contact you due to unforeseen... consequences, then I will summon you for guidance."

He'd then look down at the demi-god with his helmet obscuring his disgusted look.

"As for your... child." he'd mention, "If you have any notable specifics on what subjects I must school him, then by all means do not hesitate to mention them."

Hyperion would then look back at his guards.

"Take him to the quarters." he'd order, "I shall deal with him momentarily."

The paladin guards would proceed to escort their "captive" to the prison quarters, where he'd await Hyperion's arrival.
Btw, @Dealdric, before I get to work on the next post regarding Dirka... how does her son look-like again? Just curious.
@Legion02 Damn man - I was hoping we could do some cool stuff with Drakairos and Ragnagedon.

Still, if you can't put anything out, no one is pushing you to continue. I'll try to work with something regarding the fire dragons, although it isn't always fun working alone with yourself. Still, I'll see what I can do with them.

See you around, friend.
