Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

@Whirligig, are you okay with using your background as a subplot for the RP?

And about the Umbreon subplot: the Umbreon I had mentioned in my posts was a random Umbreon, but since @JrVader posted about having lost his Umbreon, I want to suggest the Umbreon you were looking for is now his Umbreon.
Everyone okay with that?
Officer Jenny looked at the young woman in front of her. "The Ranger HQ is on Evoru," she told her. "There are a few rangers patrolling on the island, but I'm not sure where they are exactly right now. Jolin Kaldara is the head of the Rorie Rangers, so maybe you will want to talk with her." She checked the clock. "It will be an hour before the ferry to Evoru arrives. I'm not sure about the Umbreon, I do know there are some Eevee's in Mesperit, and one may have evolved into an Umbreon, so it is possible."

She smiled at the new ranger in front of her. "The police department in Kanto requested we keep an eye out for the thief who is probably still on the run. He or she could have gone anywhere, but they informed the train station and us to keep an eye out. The Bullet Train and the Ferry are the fastest ways out of the region, especially if you time it right. Some of my men did keep an eye on those exiting the ferry but they hadn't seen anything suspicious. Have you?"
That's okay with @IAmKnight.

I'm looking forward to seeing your character sheet :)
Hi @IAmKnight, you're welcome to join the RP. You can have evolved Pokémon in your party, but I limited the Pokémon you can start with to three, so everyone will have a reason to try and catch some more Pokémon on the islands if they want a full team.

Found another one for you: Spike the Houndoom.
Your character is accepted @JrVader, welcome to the RP :)

Everyone is still in Mesperit City, we have a few lingering at the public square and one has entered the police station.
Okay, I will look it through and see what important things are still hidden there :)
The change in the heartbeat and the pained moan got Andy's attention, and his eyes moved over the monitor, the IV stand, the bags dropping their contents in the tubes leading to his body. He let out a soft sigh and started to clean up what he had used to treat the patient. It was good the man was waking up, not just because it was a sign of recovery, but no-one even knew who this man was.

He allowed him a moment to get his thoughts straight and take in the details of the room, many people who were brought in unconscious were confused at first, some didn't even remember what had happened. The patients seemed to remain calm, that was a good sign. Andy started to remove his first glove when he heard the questions. He looked up and saw the patient looked straight at him. He blinked when he thought he saw a faint violet glow, but he decided it was probably a result of the angle of the light.

"I'm doctor Bansing," he began, as he pulled the second glove from his hand and threw both in a bin. He seemed unphased by the menacing tone of his patient, it wasn't uncommon people were defensive or even aggressive when they woke up in a strange environment. He removed the mask and threw it away. "And you are in a hospital," he continued, answering the second question.

Andy walked to the bed. "I will explain what happened," he told him. "You fell, or so I was told. Crashed into the ground according to eye-witnesses, who were kind enough to call an ambulance, and I treated the injuries I could treat. From what I can tell, you took most of the hit with one side of your body." He picked up the file to finalize his part of the paperwork as he explained. "You dislocated your shoulder and your arm broke in three places, I had to set the bones and put a cast around it. Your hip on the same side was also fractured and I repaired that. And some of your ribs are fractured. It will hurt to breathe for a while, but do avoid shallow breaths, otherwise you risk getting pneumonia and you do not want that because coughing is not going to be pleasant the next six weeks or so." He looked at his patient again. "And there were some cuts I needed to stitch, but nothing life-threatening. You do have several bruises on your body, those will hurt for a couple of days, maybe a week, but they will go away by themselves." He put the file down again. "Now, there are some unanswered questions, which I hope you can answer for us. One is about the nature of your fall; I was told the impact was far greater than what your injuries suggest and it's also not certain where you fell from. And you didn't carry an I.D., so we'll need a name and place of residence and such, for our paperwork."

There was an expectant look in his eyes as he waited for the explanation or answers his patient would give, or any additional questions he could have based on the explanation of his injuries and treatment.
"Yes, it does," Benjamin agreed, although he smiled as he said it. It did sound crazy, but also believable. Of course he was far from an expert on those things, but it did sound like it made sense. He turned his head when he saw a movement in the corner of his eye and waved at the girls when he spotted them. "So, this place has things to eat, you said? Is it all human food, or can I expect some exotic things on the menu?"

"Honestly, I don't care if it's lunchtime," Ethan said. "With agents leaving on assignments at all times and coming back at all times and agents doing night-shifts and shit like that, they better have food available at all times. We work for them, they have to take care of us."
Ethan looked at the door. "I'm pretty sure they have those pre-packed sandwiches and microwave meals and pasta's and stuff available 24/7, but only between 12 and 2 and 6 and 8 can you request a cooked meal. Which at this point I don't really care for. I'm just going to see if they have a sandwich." He looked at Gaia. "Do you want one too?"
Lytse saw how the Gosisopod shuffled back and hide. He wasn't sure why a Pokémon larger than him would have to do that, but he understood the feeling all too well. He walked over to the Golisopod. "H-hey," he squeaked. "It's a big crowd here, isn't it?"
Luckily he had met most of the Pokémon, and he wasn't scared of them, but he didn't feel comfortable being surrounded by so many Pokémon larger than him. He glanced to the Onix of Mindy, and lowered himself a bit. Out of all the Pokémon that one scared him the most. The Dunsparce on the other hand, that was a friend.

The Dunsparce noticed Lytse looking at him and wriggled to get released again, which Mindy did. As soon as she felt the firm ground under her, shestarted to make her way towards them. "Hello,", she said to Lytse and the Golisopod. "How are you doing?"

Michael looked at Jycii. "If you're talking about Anthony, then yes, he flew to that tree." He pointed to where he had seen his Fletchling go, although he couldn't see him through the leaves. There was another Pokémon though, but he wasn't entirely sure about the species. It did look familiar though.

Saruya walked with Harry and settled down in the grass. It was nice to see everyone happy, but it was even nicer that she had the handsome Arcanine to herself for a moment. The young, playful ones could play with each other for now.
"I wonder where we will go today," she said. "But it's great everyone can have breakfast together. Although I do hope I will get an opportuntiy to stretch my legs." She glanced to Harry. "We could race."

Mindy smiled and looked at her Pokémon. "Completely unintentional," she said and turned her attention to the sky. Something approached fast, at first it seemed like a grey spec in the distance, but it swiftly got larger, the shape of wings became clear and a dark-yellow colour could be seen. Moments later a Dragonite landed, who wore a bracelet that was similar to Mindy's pendant.
"There you are," Mindy said as she hugged her Dragonite. "This here is Gavin, there is Michael and that is Niccia."
The Dragonite looked at the humans, although Gavin and Niccia seemed rather odd humans, and nodded.
