Anyone remember the period a little after guildfall, when the site didn't have a lot of work put into it, the servers went down pretty often and people were moving out? We waited and waited until boom, Mahz made America the guild great again. That was about where I left off.
My mistake was trying to take on everything at once (and being cringy as hell but I mean come on). Well now I'm back, and better than ever.
And I'll be damned if I let anything get in the way of having a good time.
Anyway, I just got a thing to clarify about Nova's shield. He can't use it to become theoretically immune to damage forever, right? If you could describe how you think it can work it would be great.
The shield blocks incoming damage for one round, damage over time and damage he took before he uses the shield will still be taken. Although it says it blocks all damage, it has a threshold of damage it can take before it breaks. That is to say, attacks above a certain threshold of damage will break the shield, but it'll block other attacks of less than than that damage.
The weaknesses of it is that he can't attack while using the shield unless he wants to cancel it, he also can't use blueshift while using the shield and things like vehicle attacks will break it fairly easily. But he can use it to run at full running speed, so he uses it to get into a fight or wait out blue shift's cooldown so he can reposition himself. It also has a cast time and a small area so you can sneak in there and cuddle him or something if you're fast enough.
Appearance (Real Life): Height: 190 cm Weight: 92 kg Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Blue Name: Finn Bluegale Age: 16 History: Finn came from a reasonably long line of somewhat successful DGO players who went on to get a lot of money. In his family, good performance in DGO is looked on fairly highly, but Finn thought a little differently. Finn wanted to play Deep Ground, not because he wanted to be successful, but because he wanted to fight. When he first logged in, he got a taste for the thrill of fighting, the sheer freedom that the system gave him. He didn’t have to care about results because he could just fight people. Win or lose, it didn’t matter to him because he loved to fight people. He quickly garnered a reputation as being a weirdo who fought people without regard for levels or exp, only living for the thrill of fighting. As such, he’s won and lost a fair amount of experience, often coming close to level 4 and then tanking down to the start of level 3. His allegiance used to switch almost as often, sometimes being in the white guild to hunt powerful bosses, sometimes in the red guild for high-octane pvp. He has since settled in the blue guild for a bit of both and has made a many acquaintances in many different clubs. Personality: Finn is a fairly frivolous person who likes to play around, but he’s also fairly lazy and dislikes doing things that have annoying consequences, which is why he likes DGO so much. There's a certain pattern or a set of rules that Finn seems to follow, but he's always willing to make exceptions. He’s often overly familiar with everyone, but those not so close to him can sense that he puts distance between himself and them. There are a few people he trusts completely and he’s often completely relaxed around them, and they can tell the difference between when he's relaxing and when he has some distance between them. In Deep Ground, Finn likes looking for fun fights without thinking of what he’d get out of it and has a built a reputation out of his drive to fight stronger people. Unfortunately, he’s the kind of guy who thinks of doing something kind of stupid and then does it, or gets someone else to do it. His friends have long learned not to listen to him too often. Appearance (Avatar):
Avatar Class: Berserker
Avatar Title: Blue Nova
Avatar Level (Initial): 3 (xp 29050)
Avatar Guild: Cobalt Bruisers
Avatar profession: None
Level 1: Nova burst Category: Active A small burst of blue energy is released from one of Blue Nova’s limbs, dealing 50% of his damage in a small area. It’s possible to hit up to 2 people with Nova Burst, or hit a large enemy multiple times, and it has a weak impact effect. Other attacks can be used in conjunction with Nova Burst. Cast time: None Cooldown: 30 seconds
Level 2: Star’s protection Category: Active Stars surround Blue Nova creating an impenetrable shield for a short duration. The shield blocks all incoming damage for 1 round. Blue Nova can move while the shield is active but performing an offensive action cancels the shield. It has a damage threshold, attacks above a certain threshold break the shield while it blocks all attacks below that threshold. When hit by an attack above the damage threshold, the shield will still block the damage but will be broken. Cast time: 3 seconds Cooldown: 2 rounds
Level 3: Blue shift Category: Active Blue Nova temporarily immensely increases his speed while moving in a single direction. Blue shift functions as a dash and goes to a max distance of 50 meters at near instant speeds, but can be cancelled prematurely. Cast time: 1 second Cooldown: 1 round
Power strike Increases damage dealth by 15%
Shatterfists Epic pair of cestuses which increase the damage that the opponent takes by 5% per hit, stacking up to 6 times.

Other: Finn is Thomas’s long-time friend, though Thomas often wonders why they are friends. He's also part of the basketball club, as well as the newspaper club.
And here's most of the rest of the newspaper club.
Full name: Kurogane Ichizen Appearance: He's pretty big. Short black hair, black eyes and a keen gaze. Has a martial artist build. Muscle level: High Personality: He's quite nice and straight forward, and easy to get along with but is serious when it counts. He has a knack for observation which has gotten him a reputation for seeing into the hearts of men. Unfortunately, he's not so good with girls. Likes helping people. Role: Vice captain of the judo club. Is also a part of the Newspaper club so he can get better at talking to people. Does heavy lifting and watches the sports clubs for anything interesting.
Avatar name: Iron wall Avatar class: Tank Avatar appearance: Imagine a big give way sign with limbs and a head made of metal, and you've pretty much got him. Level: 3 Avatar guild: Ivory masks Signature move: Ironclad defense Iron Wall creates a metal skin which increases his armour and protects his HP. If it takes too much damage, it gets destroyed.
Full name: Kurt Strohm Appearance: Pale and thin with glasses. Platinum blond hair with hazel eyes. Cooking level: Over 9000 Personality: Kurt is diligent and does what he's told until he's given free time, which is when he indulges in his hobbies. Somewhat restrained, he tries not to offend anyone with his actions. He likes cooking as his family runs a bakery and often gives his productions out to people he knows. He has a secret desire to rule the world. Role: Kurt is a member of the home EC club and often cooks after school. The girls in the home EC club are unusually chatty and numerous so he often gets gossip from being there. He often creates sweets for bribes in order to get information in a casual way. He joined his newspaper club to foster a sneaky skillset.
Avatar name: Spider eyes Avatar class: Marksman Appearance: Sniper-looking guy who hides his face with a visor. Level: 3 Avatar guld: Ebony Strykers Signature move: Silk mines Spider Eyes creates silk mines that attach to any object. If an enemy moves in close proximity of it, it can explode into silk to trap them for a short time or just explode for a sizable amount of magic damage.
Full name: Alicia Lyra Appearance: Straight black hair and brown eyes. Somewhat short (but not that short). Social level: Shy Personality: Alicia is pretty quiet and comes off as cold to those who aren't close to her which is mostly due to the fact that she doesn't really know what to say. Gets along easily with people who share her interests and is affectionate with her friends. She normally has a small presence. Role: Due to her quiet nature she's often in a position to easily eavesdrop on people talking about rumors and can investigate more easily with her small presence. Joined the newspaper club because of Thomas's mother's influence (she's Thomas's cousin).
Avatar name: Forest Sage Avatar class: Healer Avatar appearance: The same as she normal is but with brown hair and bright green robes. Level: 3 Avatar guild: Fanged Rangers Signature move: Hallowed tree Forest Sage creates a large tree which heals all nearby allies for quite a bit. It can block projectiles and can be cut down or withers after a while.
High DPS/Mobility warrior is the whole concept I have for Eclipse Princess, basically, a Lightning Bruiser build, which is why I chose Berserker as a Template, since it's the only one that can reasonably achieve this result within the 03 initial levels by boosting defense and mobility.
If they do get to fight, which she would gladly accept, it would be interesting given that Princess is based on passive buffs while Nova is based on active skills. I'm not so sure about he being easily destroyed as well. Eclipse Princess has a very bad reputation, in fact, but up to now she only ever fought cannon fodder Dissolutions, nameless NPCs, Phantom Regality (on melee, while he was unprepared, where she's obviously expected to excel) and Arms Slave (who's a tank, so he basically couldn't kill Princess before she killed him). When she fought a Duelist (Stark Zealot), she lost for a number of reasons. In other words, a great part of it is born of misunderstandings regarding her. That said, she's indeed stronger than anyone but the Kings, but is not invincible.
Either way, I think that the fist even fight Princess will ever have is against Nova, in case they meet. I'm looking forward to it, really.
I suppose, but I'm worried about the gear disparity (or, you know, the lack of gear), cause good loot can be the difference between life and death. But the fight would be flashy as all heck.
Oh yeah, by the way, Eclipse Princess hit level 7, right? Are you planning on keeping her next skill a secret for surprise butsecks or what?
I think your new character is good. Actually, I like the fact that Blue Nova's Abilities are more or less based around the same concept as Eclipse Princess' but spun in a different way, probably, the two of them would have an interesting fight if they ever get to meet in DGO.
Well, I wanted to make a dps high mobility kind of guy, but now that you mention it, they are pretty similar. I kind of feel like a fight will happen sooner or later since if he sees her he might just walk up to her and ask for one, but I'm pretty sure he'd get destroyed.

Pretty simple, but I need someone who's kind of an idiot and front line dps for my master plan.
"Hmm..." Thomas said, as if considering the boy's request. In reality, however, he was surveying the room as distractions appeared one after another. The first distraction was a somewhat famous figure in the school community. Erika Mitsuki, and the story surrounding her miraculous awakening was one ripe for writing about, but he hadn't yet found the time for investigating it. He'd only briefly mentioned her awakening in the corpse collector issue, the one the club had published just the day before. He wanted to look into the incident in depth as he was sure that there would be something worth writing about, but he didn't have the time to do it now. So Thomas shrugged and uttered a vague word of acceptance at the girl's request. He didn't exactly have any business with the red king anyway.
The second distraction was quiet and unobtrusive, but Thomas noticed it nonetheless. A girl who made as if to leave but didn't. Perhaps she was curious about what was happening in the club room? Next, another girl, though not as anonymous as the first. A presence he would explore soon, but later.
A third distraction occurred abruptly, Maribel cut into the boy - Kosuke as Maribel had inadvertently informed Thomas - and Thomas's conversation. Thomas looked at Maribel at the corner of his eye as she went on to exhibit some fairly strange behaviour. As he watched, Erika took Maribel by the arm and hurried out of the room. "Suspicious." Thomas thought. He was quite sure that the blue king was different, somehow, though he couldn't even begin to imagine why she was different, or what exactly happened to cause Maribel's shift in behaviour. It bothered him a lot but he couldn't exactly get the answers he wanted without invading her privacy, and he wasn't entirely sure he could justify an action on the flimsy basis of 'she's acting sort of weird and it might just be me'. So he'd let it go for now. He couldn't act with just his gut, but there were plenty of things he could act on right now. "Sorry, Kisuke was it? Give me a second." Thomas told his conversation partner.
Thomas picked up one of Emma's mints and flicked it up to his mouth before biting down on it and chewing down, releasing a burst of fresh mint. He walked up to the door and opened it before suddenly sticking his head out of the doorway to find the new visitor. "Excuse me," He said, calling out to her. "But do you have business here? You're welcome to come in if you do."
