Alright, Race idea....Warp sharks, semi-intelligent defects in space time capable of FTL travel who mistake starships for food, their prey also possesses natural warp drive. Some of these Warp sharks have become intelligent and have built a civilization around a black hole. They still eat starships though because while they can now recognize the difference starships taste pretty good.

I think they would make an interesting NPC
@keyguyperson You wanna make the first contact, then? I don't wanna make a filler post about a dude staring out a window at the Galactic Class's artificial dwarf star power source that lasts for fucking ever and doesn't contribute much.

How many lightyears away from earth is it and how long has it been in the galaxy?
I think this sounds like fun
@Keyguyperson Great. I'm glad it all made it through just fine.

Gonna throw together an IC post.

Im thinking perhaps at some point a (sentient) Solsys network probe/exploration ship might enter your territory and attempt to make contact, Would you be up for that?
Hrmm Culture concept.

A wandering Festival of masked jesters who set up camp outside of cities. Those who see the show come back changed. Most just come back with an impossible story, some fall into a deep depression, some go mad, and Others leave with the festival to join them in mirthful horror.

I think these all fit into the humanistic themes of the setting save the insectoid one. Would you be able to fold the idea you pick into a kingdom ? Or make an npc kingdom? I want to flesh out the universe as much as possible.

Whats inhuman about the insectoid one, that's probably the most humanistic of my ideas. And I'm sure I can

Jorde failed a task, so we are reopening bids for control! How many willpower, if any, are you spending this round? Everyone must tell me their bet (even if it's 0!) so we can continue :D

Im betting 2
Hrm, would any of these concepts not be allowed?

An AI who considers itself a God and takes care of its biological subjects, suffered a grave loss in the pass but tries to spread hope to its subjects.

An old starship and its crew attempting to start a new civilization from scratch.

A bunch of Transhuman Scavengers who study the remains of ancient technology, they cant possibly replicate it all but they do have artifacts.

A circus traveling across the galaxy spreading tales of far off lands.;

A young idealistic species of insectoids and semi-sentient species they added to a pathetic little "Federation" While low tech they have hearts full of hope and determination.
Excellent! Now should I go for the insectoid hive mind or the ruthless caste empire?

Why are the Insects always given an evil hivemind? Where are the "Friendly" hiveminds and Anarcho Capitalist Insectoids who live as individuals in Mansions and a minefield in the front yard

Memory transfer technology does exist and they would have brought slaves with them from other worlds, so maybe it managed to transfer some of its memory to you.

Cool Cool, Now I just gotta choose what kind of civilization it was a part of. I was considering Either something close to earth in levels of technology like an interplanetary cyberpunk race, a young interstellar race who had just developed FTL before being attacked, or a mature interstellar species who fought in a war against the invaders.
