Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

I’ll have Orchid go in first if everyone is fine with that. Shield out, eyes looking for any traps, maybe a dodge action if I can do that. I’ll likely pop my rage once I see an enemy. I know initiative wise I’m not first but let the meat shield breech yeah?
With the battle quickly over, everyone moved to carry out their tasks. Trevor and Vi worked on reviving the wounded Pelliper. It was awkward to try and fit the review into the mouth of the bird especially as much of it was carrying an assortment of berries and letters, but whether by accident or perhaps intentionally, the revive ended up shattering into a golden dust in Trevor's hand. The dust was quickly blown away by the wind only for it to suddenly turn back towards the pelliper, causing some of it's wounds to heal with unnatural speed. A few seconds later the pelliper coughed and gagged, but it came back to life.

Meanwhile the others went to finish off the murkrows. It was a quick but dirty thing. Lance's blade, as small as it was, struck true into the murkrow. Perhaps thanks to the Celina's song, his death was easy. The pain immediately awoke the murkrow but all he could do was release a shocked gasp, struggle for a few seconds, and then bled out. His body twitched afterwards but soon the murkrow was killed. The same occurred to the murkrow Ravi was in position to slay; all he needed to do was tighten his grip around the murkrow's neck, bite it's throat, or any combination of the two and the bird would die shortly after. Even in his juvenile body, it wasn't hard to kill a sleeping bird. It was then that one of the murkrow began to awaken just in time to see his allies slain. He squawked in fear and fled as fast as he could, seemingly more interested in getting away than fighting. He didn't even go back the same way be came and let the wind carry him as far away as possible. The others were still asleep if only for a few more seconds.

As the slaughter continued the pelliper came to. A few berries had fallen out of it's mouth as it was gagging ad with it's feathered wing it picked them back up into it's mouth. The Pelliper looked to the others with a mix of confusion, concern, and hostility, but it could tell that it was saved. The pokemon was cautious but bowed it's head. "T-Thank you. I didn't expect to be saved, especially by such younglings." The Pelliper's voice was surprisingly feminine. "My name is Wendy, a courier. I knew the weather here was going to be bad, but I didn't think there'd be murkrow's here! Honestly surprised they'd risk flying in this weather." Wendy looked around at the gathered pokemon and seemed concerned, especially with the ones killing the sleeping Murkrow. She didn't seem particularly disgusted at the act so much as concerned about the ones doing it.

"Where's your parents? Guardians? Did you all get stuck here before the flood started?"
@The Harbinger of Ferocity

Hey hey hey Harbinger. I'm currently the new temp GM as the previous one has been MIA for some strange reason. I trust you'll make an interesting character so just lemme run down some basic info for character creation:

Low Fantasy, so while elves, orcs, dwarves, and other fantasy creatures exist, try not to get too crazy with it. Golems, half-dragons, part demons, etc, will either not exist or at the very least not exist as player characters.

Magic itself is rare to the point that it won't be a player skill. Magic is something that requires decades of research and study just to attune to, let alone to actually learn, practice, and ultimately master. The difference between a magical dilettante and Gandalf is a thin one separated mainly by experience and the exclusivity of the subject matter. There ain't exactly a school for these guys.

As far as a character's personal ability, feel free to be as martially inclined as you'd like, but know that even for a free RP I am going to enforce some semblance of realism to fighting. Your chances to survive against five opponents is very slim, especially if they're even moderately trained militia men if only because they aren't total fools and neither are you a super human warrior. Not every attack will kill, not even blow can be dodged, so it'll behoove you to not just fight well but fight smart, and more importantly have allies.

As for backgrounds it's mostly open with the focus of the RP taking place in the Kingdom of Elrad, which has just fallen into civil war due to an usurper taking the throne. Monsters are coming out of the woodwork, brigands are taking advantage of the chaos to raid and pillage, and the lords have raised their armies to fight off rivals and take over territory. There are other nations which may also take interest, though they haven't made any appearances yet.
Let's roll! I got a 10.
@Norschtalen

Looks good, welcome to the game.
@ALonelyParrot

I'm currently the temp GM as the old GM has been MIA for a while, your character looks okay.
We ought to stream roll those kobolds while they’re bottled necked in the tunnel. Just watch out for any traps they might’ve set up, I’m sure a narrow hall would be the perfect place to set up some caltrops or something.
@ArkmageddonCat

If he chooses to speak to the local lord about recruitment, all you need to do is head to either the garrison and speak to the captain of the guard or the castle and find the seneschal. They’ll measure your worth as a warrior for them albeit in different ways.
"Don't know Crispy. I remember seeing monsters fighting Rattle then fighting each other. If I had to guess though, those monsters are on the 'fighting everyone and each other' part. Doesn't matter either. Once we meet back with the others we're leaving that cave behind, and anyone that wants to hurt us dies. Simple." She had put the hex cat's corpse around the back, using it's own tail as a rope. She had also put her bloodied garrote away, planning on trying to dry or make it usable again. She made sure that Jezee and the others were okay too with some rudimentary leaf-and-vine bandages, but she was mostly focused on getting back to the others. She made sure that everyone was keeping an eye out for any sort of threat that might try to ambush them or come out from the burning grass. While they traveled back Orchid made sure to pick up another stick; she'll need a new shield a a sturdy stick would make for a decent base to work off of.

As the group returned she heard Clod call out to her. His voice cracked; was he scared? "Yeah it's me. Let's move out! I'm tired of living near this shit hole." Orchid roared as she arrived back to her camp. When she did arrive though she noticed from their weapons at the ready that they seemed to be spooked. Or either that, ready to pounce an enemy. She was getting more annoyed at these random encounters but at this point her blood was boiling and she didn't particularly care to tolerate anyone who would keep trying to harm her or her goblins. Grumbling quietly she snarled. "Of course there's trouble. Everyone get over here and take cover!" Orchid made sure to also hide behind a tree or something solid as she chanted a spell to summon another fireball. She wasn't sure if this was a random monster or one of the reincarnated humans, so Orchid figured she'd give them a bit of a courtesy with a warning. If they were a monster they wouldn't understand her anyways, but if they were, they should heed her words.

"Getting real tired of you humans, monsters, or whatever you want to call yourselves now! Tired of you bastards always starting shit that I have to deal with! We're leaving, you got a problem with that, then burn!" Orchid chucked her fireball at the bush that her goblins seemed to have been surrounding, knowing very well that it would catch fire and possibly spread. If her goblins listened to her, they would be on the opposite side of where the fire would start so they could get away. "Now let's get out of here and let them kill each other. This isn't our home anymore."

@Expolar

I would prefer if Jo moved onto the new day as well. Feel free to describe what he might’ve been doing as long as it’s nothing too major. I just don’t want to have two groups working in separate time zones again; that is just a bit too much for me.
