@AbysmalDemon Oops, I worded that wrong. I meant I edited to acknowledge that the battle between Alex and Rheese had started, not the battle between Oscar and Sophia.

@OtomostheCrazyYay! So you'll also be travelling with Rheese and Alex?

@Heckno12 Yeah, that'd work too. Now I think about it, Sophia would travel best with a large group because the Shadow Pokemon thing would be helpful, even if her attitude wouldn't be. I'd love to see how she gets along (or doesn't) with Alexis, so yeah I'm hoping Otomos tags along.

@fer1323 I'm still planning on challenging you as long as you're still ok with it, my chara just got distracted by the battle.

@OtomostheCrazy Do you want Alexis to travel with Sophia? I can just imagine it... What reason would they have, though? Maybe they could be rivals, each one trying to outdo the other?

@dabombjk Yeah, I'll write out the battle, or at least part of it. I'll discuss with fer1323 what to do.

Sophia's smile grew as Oscar accepted the challenge. "You ready, Gothita?" The Gothita jumped up and nodded. "Ok, let's begi-" Sophia spun around at the sound of an almighty crash, to see Rheese's Wooper flying through the glass door. Running over to the fainted Pokemon, she crouched down next to a frantic-looking Rheese. His opponent had already dashed over, feeding the Pokemon a revive and a potion, apologising profusely and looking incredibly guilty. "What happened? Is Wooper going to be alright?" she asked. She hadn't imagined battles would be this intense right away. This was nothing like the fights she'd seen on TV, not even the ones with high-level Pokemon.

She relaxed a little once Alex mentioned the machines at the Pokemon centre. It seemed as if Pokemon could endure a lot, and recovered quickly, but still... "Ok, I'm as new to this as the rest of you but I can tell that's not how a battle's supposed to go," she said. "What was that?"

@AbysmalDemon I posted a few minutes after the post with the battle went up... I edited to say the battle had started, but I'll put something about the result of it in my next post.

@fer1323 You have Ember though, which is pretty good at this stage.

Sophia Danvers

"Careful!" Flinching out of the way as the human mud puddle wiped dirt off himself, Sophia gave him a pointed glare. "This is my favourite shirt!" She checked her clothing to make sure she was free of mud. What a bunch she was going to be travelling with.

Frowning, she studied the file. It was crumpled. This professor really should have taken more care - she deserved better than this. "Finally," she muttered, not even bothering to thank him. Grabbing the parasol she'd left propped against the desk like she owned the place, she made the folder float upwards and plucked it out of the air. She glanced around at the group... Oh. The human mud puddle and a girl who looked ready to fall asleep were preoccupied with a battle. Had anyone even seen? She sighed, took the key from the folder and gathered her new belongings from the locker.

Gothita bounced up to her. "Gothi-ta!" Transferring the Pokedex and Pokeballs to her bag, Sophia smiled. "Looking forward to this?" The Pokemon squeaked in response. Sophia turned and left the lab to where the other trainers had gathered outside, two of whom had just challenged each other to a battle. "Well, Gothita," she said, "How about it? Feel like trying out your moves?" The Pokemon skipped along with a cheery chirp. "Gothi-gothi-ta!"

Sophia strode over to a group of three trainers. "Hey." It didn't matter that a young man with a Torchic was currently talking to the mud-covered guy and the sleepy girl. "I said hey." A note of iciness crept into her voice, and she placed her hand on her hip, waiting to get their attention. "My name's Sophia, and this is Gothita." She looked at the three, the corners of her mouth curling into a smirk. "Seeing as we'd better all get some practice in before we set off, anyone want to battle me?" Her gaze settled on the man with the Torchic. The other two had just battled each other, but had he tried out a fight yet? "How about you?"
