The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.
@Heckno12 No, I take it that's why you recommended Politoed. I was considering giving Gyarados Rain Dance, but she already uses Dragon Dance before attacking, that would be too much setting up.
@fer1323@Noxx Are you waiting for each other to post again?
Talking of hilarious Pokemon, Ludicolo works pretty well in a rain team. (Rain Dish + Leech Seed) And yeah, keeping Milotic, he helped me win this battle.
@Heckno12 Yeah, actually, I'll keep Milotic and alter his moveset. He's pretty tanky in terms of special defense anyway.
Besides, now I think about it, I like the idea of a Milotic and a Gyarados both putting on a show. (I know Gyarados is risky to have in a rain team because of Thunder, but that's why she has the mega evo. And Earthquake.)
@Heckno12 Hmmm, I'm wondering whether to give Lorraine either an Araquanid or a Toxapex. Is Milotic a bit too stereotypical for a coordinator? I'm not sure if that one's really Lorraine's style... From what I've said about her personality over PM, what do you think?
Her style is less about pretty displays, more about lightning storms and the like.
At the sounds of the struggle behind her, Cici momentarily froze. Another gentle brush from one of the Sylveon's ribbons reassured her it was alright, everything would be alright, the fairies had things under control...
The forest spun and swam around her as the first rays of morning dimmed the fairies' lights. She saw a figure burst from the bushes, heard her yell something.
"I told you to leave..." Cici mumbled, the words barely audible. In the corner of her vision, she thought she saw somebody else, led away by fading lights until the greenery swallowed them up.
Her shining eyes closed, and she sagged like a doll. The Sylveon lowered her to the ground, then before the newcomer could do anything, bounded out of sight as the remaining Morelulls cleared away.
With a groan, Cici awoke. Her blue eyes snapped open, and she forced herself into a sitting position as she took in her surroundings.
"W-What? How... How did I end up here?" She struggled to make her foggy brain work. The last thing she remembered was playing music with her Pokemon, then lights, laughter... It was like trying to recall a dream she knew she'd had, but couldn't quite remember. She stared in horror at the girl in front of her, who was clearly hurt, barely able to stand.
"Ah! What happened?" She tried to stagger to her feet, only to slump back down. Her entire body shook. Ugh, she felt as if she hadn't slept for days. "Come on..." Gripping on to a tree branch, she pulled herself up. She took a quick glance at her belt. To her relief, all her Pokeballs were still there. "We've got to get out of here... Aah!" She doubled over.
Something seemed to be rooting her to the spot. The thought of leaving the forest was making her feel physically sick. Putting what little energy she had into resisting the sensation, she took a clumsy step forward.
Whatever had happened to her, the effect wasn't completely gone.
@Heckno12 Ohh yes. Though the sun team used to do better in Showdown before Toxapex and Araquanid were introduced...
I may have found a way around Araquanid, though. Oddly enough, Whimsicott. Once she gets a few Cotton Guards in to offset the type disadvantage, she can usually wear Araquanid down with Leech Seed.
Talking of Whimsicott, are those move combos I wrote the kind of thing we're going for with contests?
Well, this was certainly a change of tone from yesterday's events. A welcome one too. Now Amber could see where Nyxx got her energetic side from - although, right now, the excitement seemed to have drained her again, and the girl was slumped across her mother's lap.
Amber considered the cryptic message. "You mean the way Pokemon with different strengths can work together?" she asked, thinking of how sturdy Kabuto and speedy Yanma worked well as a team. She'd definitely take the opportunity to see more move combinations in action.
As the door opened, she raised her head. A red-haired woman holding a Whimsicott had just rushed in, splattered with mud and clearly distressed. "Ah! What happened?" Amber asked, standing up. "You ok there?"
Solanna Delacloude
Mesalon Pokecentre
Solanna let out a slightly panicked-sounding laugh. All this at once was too much for her. "Uhhh, I-I'm fine!" she insisted, letting Whimsicott hop down to the ground. "R-Really, this is nothing, it's just a bit of mud." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I was just practicing for a contest, and, well, this happened... I-I mean, I don't usually end up covered in mud while preparing for contests. Things kind of went wrong this time. But it's all ok!"
She'd gone from being unable to speak to babbling uncontrollably. Maybe it would be a good idea to run back to the room she'd booked, get cleaned up and hide until she was sure Mistress Hollow would have left. With another nervous giggle, she forced her usual grin.
Mistress Hollow was being nice about it, at least, but... still.
