Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

This looks interesting, even though I don't know Fire Emblem very well and neither remember the classes, do I have to pick one from the game or what? I'm looking forward to join this =)

Excellent! The classes that are available to you are in the Additional Info section, just choose one that appeals to you and you're good to go.

I was going to fill the c.s. but then I realized I don't have some details of the sovereign nations.

What is the technology like in: Augur, Panoply, Bravura and Acarid?

What are each nations buildings made out of? What natural resource might a nation have more then the other nations?

Who is governing each nation?

Does each nations people/inhabitants have beliefs or values that is different from the rest of the nations?

Is there any legends told in any of the nations?

^ I'm only asking these questions to learn more. Otherwise I'd have to make up stuff for my character and you might not agree with what I've made up.

Those are some good questions. I'll add information for each of the nations inside the Additional Info section.
Im cool with that, remember the Bride class and Lord too just in case

I believe I'm going to keep Lord as unplayable for now. As for Bride, I'm not sure where I might be able to place it. I thought of it as more of a fun class than a serious class in the game, so I didn't think it would be a good idea to include that in a somewhat realistic RP.
Well, the game was good, lets try an rp. Just one question. Could I have a Dread Fighter character? Or failing that, a Tactition?

Dangit, I knew I forgot something! I'll add in Tactician, but I think Dread Fighter ought to be a promotion. It would work as an alternate promotion to Grandmaster because they already use swords and tomes, eh?
You may now witness my entry to Forsythe's contest.
Here it is.

Go get 'em!

Long ago, the magmatic core of the planet, seized by a gargantuan frenzy, cracked the earth and sent forth a plume of molten rock through the ocean floor. Over the decades, the undersea spire grew and grew, until it breached the surface and formed a shield volcano of gargantuan proportions. Nowadays, the formerly-brimming center of the volcano has become a vast inland lake, the loose basalt has given way to soil and grass, and the legend of the fire-forged land lives on in the people that inhabit it.

What began as colonies of empires on continents across the great sea rapidly became their own sovereign nations. North of the inland sea, where the snow falls and people toil underground to escape the endless forest's biting cold, is the kingdom Augur. To the west, where rain seldom falls over coarse, red dirt, is Panoply. To the south, where sparse woodlands mar the riverlands and plains, is Bravura. And to the east, among mountains plentiful and jungles tropical, is Acarid.

For three years now, the nations of Panoply and Bravura have been at war. Whether on orange badlands or grassy savannah, the fighting has been fierce, but as of late, more and more reluctant. A secret summit between ambassadors of the two warring nations has turned up an all-too-common wish that all men and women share: an end to the conflict. And yet, despite the overwhelming desire for peace, war remains. Hints, however, have been stalking the battlefields—believable tales that a third party is manipulating the ongoing struggle, making sure that tensions are too high and situations to dire for the battles to cease. To that end, the Basileus -the ruler- of Bravura has assembled a miniature army called the Reclaimers to head into the disputed zone and find out exactly who's keeping the war fires stoked, and why.

Rules

1. Everyone should know the rules by now. I will try to be nice about them, but any stupidity is right out
2. Endeavor to be civil to your fellow rpers. It can be tough for a bunch of artists to work on the same painting, but the end result is all the more beautiful. Solve conflicts in PMs if possible.
3. Casual standards please. At least a paragraph or two, and try to post at least once every few days if not more often. Nothing is more lethal to a roleplay than lackadaisicality.
4. Do try to enjoy yourself, double-oh-seven.
5. If you are going to be incapable of posting for more than two days, you must let me know. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL. If you disappear without telling me your character has a very high chance of being wiped
6. While I am the only GM, I will try to be flexible. Should someone else prove they are capable enough and ask to be made Gm, I will surely consider it.
7. Excessive off-topic conversation will be met with unhappy frowns. Should that happen, there will be frowns all around.
8. Please wait for two other people to post before posting again.

Fleo Plector – Phoenix Backyard

Feeling like Trinity was perhaps laying on the 'loving family' portion of the Phoenix Wing pledge a bit too much, Fleo decided not to demur this time. “Well...you're welcome!” The minstrel's following suggestion started the gears spinning in the dusty woman's head. “Hm. I think it's true that a lot of power can make up for speed, actually. Back in the desert, poor Bert had magic that was slow to act at range, but using a technique called Sand Tumult, he made the ground shift and move. We couldn't run over it, just jump around between his pillars or waste time trying to deal with the Tumult. Any speed advantage we had was wiped away.”

An eyebrow rose in reply to Angelo's suggestion. After a moment of considering, Fleo chose to humor him. “Guess he's the type that likes to watch, eh, Trin?” Upbeat and ready to go even after a bad joke, Fleo flicked one of her hands, causing the dust whirring around her to coagulate. “Dust Craft: Bulwark!” Immediately, the dust already ready for use solidified into a large shield that hovered directly in front of Fleo, blocking her completely from Trinity's view. A cushion of dust formed beneath Fleo, and on that Sirocco she began to approach Trinity, shield first. “Comin' for ya, Trin!” Despite not being an attack, the logic behind the move was sound: if the strength of the archeress was long range, then protecting herself from arrows while getting closer and closer was a viable move on Fleo's part.

Joakim Fortinbras – Magnolia

As Dullahans went, Xyster tended to exhibit remarkably good spirits, but an abrupt rise in what Joakim termed 'macabre glee' did not go unnoticed by the blue-braided northerner. Watching Xyster humming as she waltzed along, with her head loosely clutched by its hair-ribbon, and ever now and then executing what looked very much like a scythe-strike, Joakim finally voiced his opinions. In a low voice, so that Nandy and Harper were not obliged to listen in, Joakim said, “Corporal? You seem in a very good mood today. To be certain, Phoenix Wing has its charm, but I wouldn't have expected a simple visit to strike such a chord with you. Unless...” The pieces slotted into place, and Joakim, realizing what they must mean, opened wide his eyes with surprise. “Corporal! You didn't...those games...?”

A brilliant green eye winked. “Did too.”

The northerner ran a hand through his hair in resignation. “Pff...I swear, Xyster. I will never be able to figure out if you're good with an evil side or evil with a good side.”

Laughing, Xyster flung her head into the air. A couple of frenetic spins later, it popped onto her neck, almost exactly in place. For that split second, until it started to slip off, she could have passed for human. That grin, however, held an aspect more than a little nightmarish. “That's the fun of it, isn't it? The not knowing. Makes life exciting! I don't need to remind you that I physically can't betray the guild as long as I've got my mark, though.”

The train station loomed in the distance. Without a carriage to ferry them on, the Frenzy Plant soldiers had been forced to walk, not that Harper minded. They decided to stop at a little cafe, so that those who hadn't eaten at the Phoenix Wing hall could have a quick bite. Despite his revelation, Joakim trusted Xyster completely. She brought up her mark with regularity to try and keep those she valued from being afraid of her, but truth to be told, Joakim was certain that at this point, even if the mark was removed Xyster would remain a friend -though a weird friend- to them all.

Andrea van der Putten – the Frenzy Fort

Rather than diverting her attention to Gabriel, Andrea scratched her rock monster beneath the chin, though after a few seconds she did ultimately respond. “They're...well, I make them. I use Rock Menagerie, which brings these guys to life. My uncle had the same magic...he took requests from customers and created personalized monsters to perform certain tasks for them, from fetching to cleaning to fighting. It was his line of battle monsters that brought him into Frenzy's attention in the first place.” Now that Andrea had something else to focus on, it seemed that her inhibitions were mitigated. Then again, it was possible that she was actually talking to Kin, and just allowing Gabriel to listen.

“I was his assistant...at the time. He thought that guild life would be good for me...so here I am. When you make 'em, rockmonsters are just blank, and blindly do whatever you tell them to. But depending on how you treat 'em, they grow personalities all their own. They're great! Never let you down, never get tired, never lose control, never hurt your feelings. Way better than people.” For the first time in several minutes, Andrea looked at Gabriel, worried that she might have upset him. “Uh...present company...excluded.”

Nero showed up for the announcement of team Iron Enigma. which was Serma Cathris, Grant Vale, Mark Zerrit, and two character sheets- I mean, Jacob Conners with a Deyja Bult as backup

Hey, I could help you make a sheet or two from Iron Enigma if you like, as long as you give me some basic information to work off of.
If a skip occurs when I'm in the middle of business, I will be very unhappy.

Yeah, but Karn isn't like that. He's just too sweet.

Except for the times he becomes a brutalizing badass.
