Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Even if he did separate, I have no idea whether he's talking to Escre, Kanros or the other gods, whether it is the Avatar or the actual god who is speaking.

Have to say, the quality of posts from Blackmist and Act aren't exactly what I'd like for this RP...

Talking to Escre would be problematic.

Are you guys open for more people to join? Edit: Silly me, it says full. Anyway, I shall lurk in this RP since I find it really interesting.

I'm sure you could join as a demigod...?
The buildings wouldn't get her any XP. I'd be fine with giving her a level for the four lancers though.
They don't need to be but they can.
Malboro, Hero turned Highwayman

There was no joy in Malboro as he watched Gaius leap from the parapets to a likely death. With Dylan after him, there was little chance that the tactician would become a red smear on the ground. Heroes, the bandit thought grimly as he looked out at the blue between the acrid smoke, They always find a way. Once, he had been one, but no longer. Coughing violently, he crouched low to the wooden planks and began inching his way to the edge of the tower. He knew by now that his men must have been slaughtered, and that the Reclaimers were waiting for him down at the bottom. Still, Malboro thought he'd rather die by the blade than by burning. He was nearly to the edge, his tunnel vision absolute, before he accidentally discovered Syrena, still with him. Very surprised -hadn't she just been carried off by the pegasus rider?- he jumped to his feet, instinctively reaching for an axe, but discovering instead an arrow lodged in his upper back, an inch away from his neck. It had only just arrived, and his adrenaline had dulled the pain. “Where...did that come from...?”

Then his nerves were shot and failed him, his body crumpled and falling in shock. As he fell backward, the arrow was driven farther into his body. Malboro gasped, spasming feebly, as the fire reached the top level. The smoke was constricting and the roar of the fire deafening, but above it the dying man managed to make himself heard to Syrena and probably Kel. “Ah...damn heroes. Never woulda thought...I'd go like this...”

Immediately after, the young girl was saved, lungs stung by smoke but still conscious, by the wyvern rider. They returned to the earth to stand alongside their allies and watch as the burning guard tower was incinerated, leaving only a loose shell of stone behind.

Mission Clear!

Death toll: 21 bandits
Level Up: Hugh, Lilith, Jakobe, Sanguin, Nickolas, Syrena, Kuur, Habeen, Gaius, Jeane, Kel, Marcus
Alliance: Taene
Boss defeated: Malboro, Hero turned Highwayman, final blow struck by Kuur Salcair
Heroes: Habeen and Kuur

Some time after the last embers had gone out, and after making sure that the wounded were attended to, Hugh approached a couple of villagers that spoke for the rest. “Is everyone okay? We were unable to protect two of your buildings.”

One of them shook his grizzled head. “Our losses are a tragedy, but they would have been far more had it not been for your platoon. We have little to offer you other than a night's food and shelter, but you're welcome to them.”

Hugh bowed gratefully. “Thank you. Since you offered, we still stay the night to make the little repairs that are the bane of all armies, and to rest and try to unwind after such a horrific day. We will not intrude upon your hospitality, and be gone in the morning.”

Sanguin, Westroad Village

So, that was it. A day of tiring travel and tiring bloodshed. Sanguin felt oddly satisfied by the role she'd played in the battle, but she knew that she shouldn't. War, even little wars against petty thieves and murderers, was something meant to shake the human soul, not to fill her with warmth. Removing her mask, Sanguin breathed deeply before seating herself by the convoy, which had been brought into the village, to clean and mend her weapons and armor. The dead had been dragged from the village and burnt in a nearby ditch, so only the faint, lingering smell of death disturbed what promised to be a refreshingly peaceful evening.

Abel Fulgurate

A date? Abel had to make a conscious effort to stop himself from doing something stupid. Really, there wasn't much chance of it being a proper date, which was probably good given his inexperience. They would both have most of their teams around at the same time. Still, the thought of potentially spending time with someone not obligated to do so with him, particularly a girl like Krysanthe, made the smile on his face indelible for the next few minutes.

Realizing he had been getting nowhere in regards to locating his teammates for some time, Abel opted to whip out his scroll and contact the remaining members of his team via the wonders of technology. Right off the bat, he realized he had forgotten to get Shiro's new number, still having the number of his smashed scroll on his own. After a hefty sigh, Abel decided to message Gren instead.

Subject: Stuff we could do

Hi. Been looking for you guys. I thought we'd go with everyone else into town and have some fun before school started. There's a bowling place called Drury Lanes that also has fast food. Neat, casual sort of place, we could hang out.

Abel always felt somewhat self-conscious when he used words like 'hang out'. He always got the impression that other people would be thinking that he was trying too hard to be cool.

I'll be at the airship docks in ten minutes, even if you don't want to go. Sapphire's not coming, she's doing stuff with Oswald.

At first Abel had been about to type 'going on a date' rather than 'doing stuff', but he ran out of characters. Shrugging, he sent the text and made for the airship port.

Naturally, Abel was the first to arrive—if anyone else was, in fact, coming. As much as he wanted to remain optimistic, he couldn't help but get that sinking feeling in his gut. Hopefully he wouldn't be heading out alone.
@Lucius Cypher @harinezumikouken what should I do with Abel? Should I say that in the ten minutes he managed to find both Gren and Shiro, and lead them to the airship dock?
I'm doing passably well.
Frenzy Plant Encampment

Unlike the other guilds, Frenzy Plant had chosen not to lodge itself in a hotel, but to spend the night outdoors. Taking up residence in Crocus's wooded nature park, everyone had whipped out cots, tents, sleeping bags, or simple sheets to pass the night. Master Sanders himself had been in charge of the operation, and had encouraged the whole thing to be done without magic. Fires were started by scraping flint against still over tinder, more experienced members helped the less set up their various forms of shelter, and bugs were kept at bay by adding incensed herbs to the fires, irresistibly drawing mosquitoes, moths, and flies to a burning demise. Not everyone went along with the plan; Xyster, for instance, exercised a curious Dullahan sleeping habit by digging a disturbingly gravelike hole and sleeping with most of her beneath the dirt. Several members, like Vergil, slept in the trees, whether on hammocks or on branches. With little to obscure the rising sun, many of the soldiers arose shortly after dawn, and those on duty sleepily made their way out of their tents to brew coffee and fry breakfast for everyone.

From there, the morning progressed in a disorganized manner. Some of the soldiers went off to explore the town, others slept in, a few began exercising drills, and a bunch tried to wedge in some last-minute practice. To the guild's newcomers, most of which had not yet had the pleasure of outdoors-ing it in a bonafide FP Regiment Camp, the experience undoubtedly sparked feelings of both oddity and a certain, rustic sense of fulfillment.

The resounding noise of a horn took none of them by surprise. With the nature park a distance farther from the stadium than the other guilds' hotels, there was no time to waste. As everyone packed their things up and got them organized, the voice of General Sanders flooded through the encampment. ”Soldiers! Our scouts tell us a fearsome tale. We're up against Dragon Slayers, God Slayers, Devil Slayers, Curse Users, mass-murderers, and most worryingly, wizards who've unlocked their Second Origins. In terms of prestigious magic such as those, we have little. Just our training, our discipline, our minds, our hearts, and our talent. Let us put them to the test. We're not here for money or glory, though for them we will be grateful. We are here to see how far our best can go. Let's get out there and find out.”

With that, the regiment departed. Every member of Frenzy Plant was present, and as they strode with purpose toward the towering, looming colosseum, they knew that they would go far.
