Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

So wait

I'm confused

How is ending the argument with easily the most inflammatory statements in the argument better than 'a contingent of similarly themed posts' (contingent, for the record, doesn't mean 'two'. That'd be the worst contingent of all time), when the person responding to that contingent of posts (Three, for the record, and slightly higher if you're being generous with where the argument started) compares the people expressing a perfectly valid viewpoint to Nazis?

One one side, we have a relatively civil (aside from one picture) analysis of why the dub won't suck; not "English version sucks", just that the Japanese one won't. And in fact, by your own reasoning, does have a better VA cast. On the other side we have comparisons to Nazis, scathing comments about opinions, and telling your players to go have a stroke-fest in their own PMs. In a manner intended to end it.

So yeah.

I'm confused where you've got the moral high ground. But GM privilege means you get to end that line of thought right there, so.

Good lord, man. You just keep digging yourself deeper.

Well your taste is consistently shit, I'll give you that.

Yeah, that's civil. Those comments were in response to Forsythe saying that he preferred the English one by the way, not an affirmation that the Japanese one won't suck. The idea that the Japanese dub (objective viewpoint) has better actors wasn't even a point of contention, both Forsythe and I acknowledged that to be fact. It was the idea that Forsythe liked the English one anyway that caused this uproar. It wasn't the objective side of the issue that was being argued; it was the personal side. It wasn't civil or an analysis, it was 'your opinions are wrong and what you like is crap'. I don't care about moral high ground; if it had been an actual debate that was causing controversy, I would have asked it to end in a more sophisticated manner. But it wasn't, so I decided that I was going to end something nasty with a nasty comment.
I probably ninja'd you there, Forsythe, but let's not have this thing drag on. You're in the right as far as I'm concerned because of how 'opinions' work, and let's leave it at that.
Hey @HereComesTheSnow I permit friendly joshing but a contingency of similarly-themed posts is more like harassment. Plank, you can't demonize RT for not 'going all out casting this'. RWBY was a startup project of a little studio in Texas, they didn't get the luxury of nabbing the best voice actors in the business. Personally, I don't give a crap about who voices it in Japanse; it'll never be anything more than charming for me because I don't understand Japanese. If you two feel like puffing yourselves up about the superiority your opinions by jumping down someone's throat for their personal opinion (which will doubtlessly include mine now) then you can take it to PMs and have a stroke-fest there. This discussion is over.
Xyster is certainly going to take notice of said aerial vehicle.
Is there enough time for me to potentially collab with someone?
ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORAAA

The deadline for the contest or the fights?

The fights.
Who is in favor of extending the deadline by another week?
Yep, though the deadline approaches.
I'd be okay with Xyster running into someone.
