Aurora starts to pet the owlbear's head, warily at first, then more relaxed. She removes some of the jerky from two of her rations to give to Juniper. "There you go. Can you find your way home?" she asked the owlbear in elvish not expecting much.

"Well now she is calm perhaps one of you can carefully and calmly check the chariot. I am planning on removing the connecting harness to free the owlbear. I do not think she will harm us if we do not act aggressively towards her." Aurora starts to undo the buckle harnessing Juniper to the chariot.

Dispositions

Issac Kaplan, mostly positive: His initial stubborn and insistent demeanor rubbed Gwen the wrong way. It did not help that he seemed to look down on her until she was able to prove her competence as an electrician, or so she thought. After the first six months in LD-10 and routine set in, Gwen was able to get a better understanding of Kaplan and took a little less grievance with his demeanor. She was a little surprised when he seemingly out of the blue complimented the herbs and tea she was trying to grow for her own use. Eventually, discussions of fermenting grains and sugars started and the two were able to swap ideas and possible solutions for issues that would occur.

She is willing to trade tea, herbs, and 'unregulated solutions' with. Often for honey, better grains for fermenting, or assistance with keeping her plants healthy.

Xi Yingxue, indifferent: Xi comes off as less personable than most, which Gwen can deal with. Most of her interactions with Xi are through repair requests for heaters or issue with equipment in the labs. Gwen has made a mental note of the tea selection Xi has, though has not yet tried to make conversation with her about it.

She is willing to give Xi tea should she ever ask.

Mihail Chivu, indifferent: As with Xi, most interactions with Mihail are through work orders. He seems like a decent person, maybe a bit stuck in trying to keep his old life. Then again who is Gwendlyn to judge on that. Perhaps one day she might talk to him about something besides what he meant when submitting a maintenance request.

Gwen is not sure what someone who seems to have everything would want from her.

Arthur Eel, positive yet wary: Arthur reminds Gwen of a few of the old timers from the factory, gruff resenting of management and authority. It's a small comfort to have someone with such a personality around. She is concerned with what he did to go against all that. So far it seems that he doesn't have any intentions of continuing down that path. Gwendlyn is also impressed with his work as a roboticist and his skill with a 3-D printer.

The two have an arrangement in which Gwen provides Arthur some of her tobacco in exchange for favors, mostly she has him making things on the 3-D printer for her projects, occasionally improvements for her prosthetic arm.

Alyssa Cross, indifferent: Alyssa's determination to do any work is admirable. Gwen does worry that Alyssa will eventually cause an electrical fire when trying to do electrical work. Most of the time when Alyssa does any electrical work, and Gwen is aware of it, Gwendlyn will try to discreetly check it over to make sure it will not cause any issues. Alyssa's cold disposition and aire of being better than working in LD-10 has kept Gwendlyn from conversing with her outside of maintenance requests.

Gwen does not currently trade or offer anything to Alyssa.

Yevpraksyia Popova, positive: Gwen mostly feels bad for what Yev has gone through. It also puts her own personal issues and loss of a limb into a different perspective. Gwen does try to offer Yev some of the herbs and tea she grows in an attempt at genuine kindness. Whether or not Yevpraksyia uses them, Gwen does not know.

Isaac Adesso, positive: The guy is determined and competent in his work, and his willingness to make due with what is available reminds Gwen of her father. He's also braver than she is as he is willing to do EVA work. His lack of sleep does worry her some as she has seen other maintenance personnel in previous jobs get seriously hurt from working past exhaustion. Gwen does respect his disposition of keeping things together regardless rather than wait till the bureaucracy sorts itself out for the new parts to get here.

Gwendlyn will often offer to help with getting unofficial replacements working.

Rhiannon Rossi, indifferent: Gwendlyn is not really sure what to make of Rhiannon. The veterinarian doesn't seem to fit in here and seems to want to be anywhere but here. No one seems to know why she signed up for this job. Gwen has heard others talk about hearing screaming in the night but has not experienced it herself, albeit most nights she is passed out from exhaustion, drinking, or both. Most interactions with Rhiannon are through maintenance requests.

Name: Gwendlyn Neilson

Optical implants to function as a HUD when reviewing electrical schematics for machines and structures.
Left arm from the elbow down is a prosthetic with a machine interface port. Only usable for diagnostics.

Role: Electrical engineer/technician, total time on LD-10 is 3 years.

Duties: Assisting Holiday with maintaining the power cores for LD-10 as well and managing power feeds to machine chargers, residences, life support systems, and businesses. Also assists with maintenence of the machines and has a few project droids that she is trying to get online to help with moving stuff around her residence.

Residence: Claimed several apartments of the lower floor that were all ajoining. Several of the wall panels between these apartments were removed or rearranged to open up space for projects and to allow a more open concept on the bottom floor. One of the rooms was converted into a brewery and distillery in order to get around the conpany alchol limits to slight success. Another has a few barrel sitting where her attempt at making decent whiskey sits to age. The oldest barrel is only 2 years old and of poor quality. Another room was converted to a private growing room, with soil, and fertilizer taken from the regular grow fields. In this room she grows her own tobacco to then dry for use later. She does also grow her own lavender, chamomile, dandelion, rose, and tea for her own tea as well as a selection of herbs Gwen keeps to season her food with.

Relationship with Holiday: Gwen tolerates Holiday more than others as she has told work with the AI more to keep the power flowing through LD-10. She did try to limit how much of the residence she resides in that Holiday can access to no success, including attempts to disconnect parts of the residence from the network. The latest attempt was with a cutting torch resulting only in a small fire and neighboring areas reaking of hot metal.

Some of her early memories were coming home from school and trying to keep quiet so the parent who was at home could sleep before their shift. There was often a pile of broken parts and electronics on the table, most being salvaged to repair others. Gwendlyn learned from watching her father carefully take things apart to find the source of the problem, and eventually started to help with the repairs when she was not at school.

When Gwendlyn was done with high school, she started to work in the factories as well. Through some connections her parents had she was able to apprentice with one of the electricians in the factory. The hours were poor, the pay was worse, but she found some enjoyment in figuring out how to make blueprints on a data pad a physical object. Eventually she was able to become certified as an electrician and started to make enough to move into her own tiny apartment.

While assisting another co-work with maintenence on a large machine, someone managed to bypass the lock-out/tag-out and powered up the machine. Gwen was unable to remove her left arm completely before the large press caught it and severed the arm just below the elbow. The co-worker managed to stabilize her enough for a medical crew to get her to the on site hospital. The injury was cleaned and cauterized as the missing part of the arm was smashed beyond use. A basic prosthetic was created for Gwen as part of the work-mans compensation, which took the better part of a year to get sorted out. During the year she only had use of the one arm she had taken to drinking to deal with the trauma and phantom pains from the missing limb. She retreated into herself not wanting to deal with the possibility of being stuck with the one fully functional arm. It got bad enough that she moved back in with her parents, barely working enough to pay for her drinking habit and a little bit of the rent.

This went on for 6 months when one night she stumbled into the apartment reaking of cheap liquor. The noise of Gwendlyn half walking half falling through the apartment woke her father up and an argument ensued. The details of the argument are fuzzy at best, though Gwen does remember trying to punch her father in anger. The next morning both of her parents asked her to leave. Initially she was angry with them for kicking her out. Over the next year the anger turned to grief and regret. Gwendlyn worked to make amends with her parents, apologizing for her behavior and causing more problems for them. She started to make modifications to her prosthetic arm, adding the port to plug into machines for diagnostics, and finer motor skills with whatever parts she was able to salvage.

When the opportunity arose for volunteers to go to the new dome on the moon, Gwen volunteered in an agreement to settle her parents debts and some of hers. The initial training to prepare for the space travel was grueling. The last three years have been interesting to say the least. With there only being so few people here in such a large space it was easy to find solitude to meditate and privacy.

I was referring to her graduating at 18. I probably could have worded that better.

In regards to the tobacco, Gwendlyn would have no qualms trading or giving some here and there, provided it doesn't leave her in a pinch.

Wanderings in the Lost Realms

With that roll Kilona would notice foot prints in the stone dust leading down a path to the right. Along those foot prints in varying sized stones that is likely from the creation of the tunnel. The footprints are not clear as it seems someone or something had been walking along this path consistently.

Jørmund gave the boys a warm smile. "Thank you Tolomeo. After we run those raiders off I'll see if there is something I can make something for you for all help you given my friends and I. Stay by the fire my friend has made for you all and stay warm." He stood up, looking to the other. "I'll look it over the best I can. However I will say Aura, you have always been better with figuring out the catches and loopholes. I'll bring it back here so you can read over it in case I missed something."
