This has my interest, I agree with the group of alchemists, we just have to see what the mission can be. Any ideas?
It's fine with me, do me a favor though? Send me a PM of the character (CS) and a short written bit so I can see how your style is. I'd prefer if he was a student since were all students about to to take the Chuunin exams so if you'd be willing to do that great! @Archangel89

@ViolentViolet that's fine I know you were busy ^>^ sure we can continue though I think it's just down to us three since @King Kindred I think has some RL things going on and won't be on much, though don't quote me on that xD I'd really like to continue this though! ^>^
@corrosive Sure, sure no worries :3

Ariana Lane

Sighing softly and pausing just before reaching the edge of the forest that acted as a shortcut, Ariana crouched down and gently ran her pale fingers trough black-white fur. cerulean-blue eyes met warm gray before a rou rough tongue gently swiped along her left cheek.

"I know girl, now on home you go. Ariana stated softly, rising to her feet and gesturing with her left hand towards the now well-worn path they traveled. A whine of protest escaped into the slightly frigid air, Ariana reached forward and gently wrapped her fingers around the warm snout. She shook it gently before letting go, another lick was placed on her wrist before her dog turned and began to trot home, tail high in the air. Shaking her head in amusement, Ariana turned and glance both ways before crossing the street that separated the forest from the school before it, her black boots softly thudding on the concrete as she nears the building that was as much a place of education as it was hell.

Tucking her hands into the front pockets of her leather jacket, Ariana dodged around a group of cheerleaders and continued on her way, her gray eyes scanning the halls as she absently allows her whirling mind to shuffle through the blurry images of the nightmare that woke her up last night. She could make out white wings and light so bright it seemed to rival the sun's brightness, the feel of something gritty clinging to skin as screams and snarls fill the air around the blurry image of a girl in white, a boy standing before her as it to protect her. Ariana blinked trice and shook the images away, her feet automatically guiding her to the first class of the day, her heavy eyes blinking once more as she passes through the door and pauses long enough to scan the room and spot a seat near the window.

She wondered briefly if she'd be able to doze off for a bit, the good thing about being awake before anyone else usually meant that she could easily dress and leave before anyone offered to drive her to school. She refused the bus idea when it was posed with a vehement shake of her head and and pointed look at her older brother, he'd only raised his hands and stated that Essa was to go with her. That was the deal, she could leave early if she chose but Essa was to follow and a note left on the fridge for her brother. Absently tugging her sketchbook out of her messenger bag, Ariana began to draw, her gray eyes focusing on the darkening sky above as the sounds and voices faded to nothing around her. @corrosive
@corrosive Go for it! :3
I added a bit to her bio as well ^>^ I'll keep her as she is and will implant the idea that I shared with you too xD

Now...first post! You wanna do it since your CS came before mine? x3 @corrosive
You don't think she's erm...angsty? I mean I like the idea I offered in the PM would explain why she is, however I'm still thinking....xD @corrosive
Name:
Ariana Lane

Age:
17

Gender:
Female

Appearance:

Year in school:
Junior

Species:
Angel

Personality: She's reserved and temperamental, her hands either in the pockets of her jacket or jeans when she doesn't need them, her unique gray eyes help keep most people away from her. She speaks softly and sometimes hums a tune under her breath that she can never remember or play later when she has time to herself. Her parents aren't home most of the time since they work different jobs, her mother is a doctor, hee father a business man. She's kind to those who have earned her trust and friendship but those who don't are normally met with her silence and glare. She wasn't always cold and quiet, as a child she laughed and played like any other, talked near non-stop and had friends encircling her whenever she enter the room, however when middle school came around she found herself against a foe she hadn't met before. Bullies. She tried to keep positive and upbeat, kind and helpful but as the days drafted and the year went by she slowly withdrew, her sweet and kind nature fading into a mask of indifference and anger. She only ever seemed happy when at home, or library where the books helped her concentrate on something other then the taunts and whispered words. Whenever a fight broke out and she was the one involved she always avoided detention or expulsion and that only seemed to stroke the fire of the bullying. Now in high school the bullies are still there, the fights happen more often then not, however Ariana has a secret place besides the library where she can escape and either sleep for a while or play her violin. The schools roof -which is barely visited- soothes her nerves and helps her breath easily, her defenses falling and leaving her normal happy smile. There are days where if she hasn't slept well -strange dreams have started to occur whenever she falls asleep- she'll be mostly writing in her notebook or ignoring all around her.

Bio:
Born as a princess and only daughter to one of the prominent families, she found herself unhappy and alone more often then not, she had friends but most of them seemed inclined to talk and play with her due to familial pressure instead of actually wanting to be her friend. As she grew she distanced herself from them and began to wander the realm, the other Luxians happily greeting her as she walks the streets. A few years later she sees the newcomers but is forbidden to leave her room when they pass into the main square with a little boy curiously scanning the shops and people. The fear of him and his parents had herself childish curiosity peeked, a few days later she'd managed to sneak out and found the boy once more standing beside the fountain with eyes as wide as saucers frantically scanning everything within sight. She'd giggled and offered to show him around, from there they became inseparable, she felt happy and accompanied for the first time and she gladly wallowd in it. However the peace didn't last for long, soon the wars began and she found herself the center of an attack meant to take her life. Her friend managed to keep the beasts away but couldn't keep it up, the injury he recieved had her frantic with worry and guilt as the first wave of beasts vanished thanks to the Elders, however that wasn't the last time they would appear. The next and last time had her parents encircling her in a white blanket over the gown she'd worn for the day and twin kisses placed to her forehead before a flash of light engulfed her and she awoke to find herself in a city with flashing lights and sounds she wasn't used to.

She'd managed to walk until exhaustion overcame her and she slipped and fell into a ditch , a kind man found her and without a questuon other than her name, she found herself raised in a family of three, her mother and father as well as their family dog Essa.

She was a sickly child, she'd catch anything more then once and had to be watched carefully even when all she had was a fever. As she grew she became stronger and seemed to possess a grace that her parents have no explanation for, she easily learns things and will sometimes look out the window with a glazed expression on her face.

Many centuries ago, a dimension hovered above Earth, it had no solid form to those who say it in the sky -it appeared as a large cluster of stars, however it wasn't just that. The dimension was known as Lux to those who lived within its bright glow.

The inhabitants of the dimension varied but were those of light and purity, Angels were the governing force within the realm and helped guide those new and old on living a peaceful life. The Elders ruled all, royal families were picked to govern their own lands and things progressed with no incident, until newcomers brought the stable, peaceful existence of the Luxians into chaos.

The race of Light beings as were usually kind, outgoing and spoke to anyone, however with this new family, they hesitated and kept their distance. The first and only on to go near the family of three was a daughter of one of the six royal families, things seemed to calm after that. Until one night while the princess and the newly named prince were playing within the garden, ash suddenly began to fall from the sky, the sounds of screams filling the air as creatures of shadow and darkness emerged from nowhere and began to attack. The prince valiantly tried to protect his friend, however he still wasn't strong enough to keep them away for long, one managed to sink its claws into the boys flesh before ducking past and aiming for the princess. This wasn't a random attack, they were attacking the royal families.

The Elders managed to step in and send the beasts away, however that was only the beginning. A few days after, the prince that had helped protect the princess, began to change, his wings going from pure white to ink black, the scars that should of healed darkened and sealed after releasing a burst of darkness that seemed to signal the next attack.

A battle began between the Lux and the Umbra -aas they were now called- which tore the realm in half, the royal children that managed to survive - only two of the seven- were encased in a sphere of Light and sent down the Earth while the battle raged on.

No one knew that the princess and now Fallen prince would lose their memories, that their power would be sealed away until they unlocked it, they only hoped that their race would continue on. The Lux managed to stay remain in battle for two more years before the dimension ripped completely and vanished from the sky.

Our story begins in the present time, 2015 with the two now attending school and leading normal lives, however darkness never fades. The Umbra are beginning to emerge once more, can both fight the beings of darkness of they don't know of their power?

Will Light or Darkness win?
