This looks really neat :>
I can always add more if need be

Good character, she is accepted. You can move her over to the CS Tab.
---Accepted Characters---

Railmen:

Edward "Braveheart" Reikov- Active

Blackwatch:

Civilians/Outsiders:

Lucas Westchester- Active
Brynn Rita Sauburn- Active
Samantha "Sam" Whittaker- Active
Bartholomew Jacob Solomons- Active
Hava Reis- Active
Sonya Caroline Wallace- Active
Nikolai Petronov- Active
Appearance: He often wears his smithing clothes. Otherwise, he wears simple high-capacity clothing, stuff with lots of pockets. He is rather strong, but not in the sense that he deliberately builds muscle, rather that he simply works them.

Name: Kiril Stanlislav

Age:(1000! You said no max ;3 ) 35

Origins:Born in the Czech republic, grew up in Georgia. Came to NYC after the violence began, thinking himself capable of solving the world's problems.

Personality:He values community and "old-world" ideals, driving him to take up a mission to restore them. That said, he is not naive, he's had more than a few encounters with unsavory types and he's come out alive every time, and it's hardened him. He's untrusting, but kind.

Likes:Community, Friendship.

Dislikes:Disorder, the Reborn.

Backstory: A fisherman in Georgia, he lived a simple life. When the apocalypse struck, he lost track of his family and was forced to flee on his ship. He spent two years on that boat, floating in a dead-end ocean, surviving. He eventually shipwrecked, and survived on his own in the woods for awhile, travelling, staying away from large cities and population centers. Eventually, he found himself another ship. Hoping for safety across the sea, he set course for the Western world.

As he would soon know, his hopes were futile, and there was no safety to be found. Low on fuel, he decided to move inland to hopefully survive there. This brought him to GYNC, and he offered up his hard-earned skills for shelter inside.

Profession:Smithy

Equipment/weaponry: A sword, and rifle that he made. He also carries a revolver that he did not make.

Other: (Anything extra about your character which doesn’t fall in the other categories.)

Alright... first off, I'm gonna have to say that I would've preferred if you submit your sheet here in the OOC rather than the CS. For two, the quality in this sheet is lacking and it has some errors in its logic. If he was a fisherman, where did he learn how to smith? Between travelling the seas for years and getting to the GNYC, they would've had to learn from somebody with previous experience and even becoming a Smith good enough to forge a proper sword would've taken many, many years of work. Not to mention somehow knowing how to make a gun, something difficult to do even in the past without extensive training. Personality is severally lacking and appearance similarly so. All in all, I can't accept this sheet unless it goes through heavy reforms to meet standards.
Still not writing yet but question has arisen. Do I have to be a resident of this colony or can I be a traveler type person?

You can be a traveler if you wish, but you'll face prejudice and paranoia from everyone in the GNYC and will receive next to nothing in the way of rations.
Interested but I have a couple questions (interested regardless of answer :) )

Can characters be part of the blackwatch? Can they be part of the railmen? Or do they have to be 'lander' civilians?

Is this set in 2016? I.e. like an alternative timeline starting from 2006 to now?

Do the train lines still work? I like the idea of different underground settlements doing trade and making contact by rail, and it would make some extra roles availabke to railmen characters.

Hopefully I'll have a CS up by the morning :)

1st question: Yes, you can be a part of Blackwatch or Railmen. Positions are limited there though as they receive the best equipment and supplies, though the Railmen get a few less in the ways of rations than Blackwatch.

2nd question: The timeline starts in 2010 so it is currently 2020. Actual Date: March 1st, 2020

3rd question: Rail lines still work but currently it is unknown by the GNYC whether or not there are any in the area. On top of that, several subway lines in the area of have been collapsed to protect the area and the tunnels are left without powered as they are not priority for electricity.

@Superman

Go ahead, we still got room.

The OOC is up! OOC

I could definitely be interested in giving this a shot, although I do have one question: wouldn't it work to remove and/or disable the limbs of the reborn?
I mean, no matter what kind of mystic mojo is keeping you going, it seems like it'd be pretty tough to get anything done with shattered arms and legs, or after getting blown to pieces with a mortar shell!

To answer, yes you could. Yet, the limb will partially ambulate if touched and getting the items to blow up a lot of Reborn in a public area would be difficult.

To all of you, it has been 10 years since the first Reborn began to appear and 9 years, 8 months since they became violent. Keep in mind when creating characters.

To think it all began years ago, the gradual decline that would bring the once bustling cities of the world to a halt. The governments of man failing to protect them from something which couldn’t be stopped, their mindless movement unceasing even when the conventional means were used. It all started with murders, disappearances, and kidnappings. At first, nobody thought much about it. The families of those who were found dead or went missing mourned but everybody thought “Hey, it won’t happen to me. They were just unlucky.” How wrong their thoughts were, the mindless act of pushing away something which soon became so unbearing that nobody knew how to act. So unbearing that the pillars which supported them collapsed like a regular man trying to be Atlas.

They came one day, the shambling masses of the missing and kidnapped. They were reported found and rescued by all those who had seen them, who had recognized their faces from the milk cartons and daily news reporting on them. The media swarmed, they were taken away by their crying families and given a home. They smelled of rot though, unbearably so that those who lived with them often had to bathe them everyday to remove the smell. They were just as they had been the moment they were taken or disappeared, but they were mindless and unresponsive. They didn’t eat, didn’t sleep, simply sat and went wherever they were led. Then, one of them killed somebody. It wasn’t like the movies, the ones where they mindlessly attacked the man and ripped them to shreds to consume the flesh. No, it was something more.

The Reborn, as some had taken to calling them, cared not about eating their target but used their teeth and bare hands as they were the most immediate weapons. They had no motive for who they killed, simply striking with fury and mindless abandon. Those who had been left out on the streets became a danger to civilians, attacking whenever. One couldn’t go anywhere on foot or otherwise without worrying about being attacked. The Cops, the National Guard, they tried to stop them but a bullet through the brain wouldn’t end it nor removing the head from the body. They kept going, ambulating wildly and attacking whatever they touched. Burning the bodies was the only way but the stench… the look of pain and inhuman screaming brought that idea to a halt quickly. People started to riot, break down mentally in public and plead with their governments for some kind of safety only to be met with half-hearted and half-assed attempts.

Looting, murder, kidnapping, it all came crashing down as people stopped caring about being civil and did as they wished. Humanity showed its true colors finally and we realized that, if we were to survive, it was either alone or together. Those who had a common goal banded together, protecting each other from the danger of the Reborn and outsiders. Paranoia brought mass killings as those who pleaded with the less civil of groups were often killed out of fear. More Reborn came, crawling out of their graves and rising from those who were murdered in the months following their arrival. People got use to the sight of them and the fear of them died off, so long as one was safe behind the walls of many upstart towns that is. The Outside is death, the Inside is life. Within, it is as if everything were normal. But even being normal comes at a cost, especially in a world like this one.

Rules

-GM decisions are final but, if your argument against it is valid, a change in decision will be made.
-Keep your actions and items logical, this is an apocalypse and in a government style settlement where rations are controlled.
-You can be however old or young you want, but remember that it has been ten years since the Reborn first appeared and younger characters will be less knowledgeable of things from before the apocalypse.
-If you are gonna be absent for a prolonged period of time, just message me.
@Muffinator

Maria would be getting through Grimm crossing, or at least trying to, without being freaked out by all the ghost pokemon in the area. Also added the theme song.

I wouldn't say I do it on purpose, as far I know I have never gone out of my way to specifically make an attractive character. But, my process is slightly weird. Despite being male, the majority of my characters at this point are female and I always start my sheets with two things; a name and a picture. I take a picture and write my character based on that. The personality, background, and everything else all come down to what inspiration the picture has given me. While I never focus on making an attractive character, it happens sometimes and I realize that I like the description I had written for the character to explain what the pictures don't.

To clarify though, I stay away from anime pictures and real people unless the setting requires a real person. Both ruin my feel for a character when I'm writing them as anime pictures are far too childish looking most of the time and a real person leaves little to the mind to describe. But, I also can end up creating bland characters. Like one in a dark fantasy RP I was in which was described as bland with brown hair, brown eyes, and a homely complexion. She isn't what one would classify as overly attractive and it made sense since she was a member of a band of warriors where death was likely to happen.

Name: Maria Valentine
Age: 17
Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA_bNiYlBrg

Background: Maria Valentine, only daughter of Helen and Marcus Valentine, was born and raised in Arcadia by her scientist parents. Her parents, spending most of their time at their lab within the city, left Maria to be raised by her close, albeit eccentric, uncle. Much of Maria’s young life was spent being doted on by her uncle, being bought the most recent of clothes and taken out of her classes for days out on the town. She was happy to be with the man who became more like her Father than Marcus could ever say he was. Yet, her uncle grew to be around less often as he became occupied with his job as a breeder

Upon turning thirteen, she was given a Horsea by her uncle as a sort of pet. Finding pokemon to be her passion, Maria set out to learn as much about them as possible from her uncle. Yet, despite having learned so much about pokemon, her uncle couldn’t answer the boundless questions and her parents showed no interest in toying with her desires. As such, Maria studied as much as she could until she was taken by her uncle to get her trainer’s license. Upon turned seventeen, Marian announced to parents and uncle that she’d be leaving to study the world’s pokemon.
