"Crap. Well, now the whole neighborhood knows." Abigail mumbled walking up to the gunner's cell, keys in hand. "Come on then, we'd better get going." She put the key in the hole, turned it, and pulled the door open on oiled hinges that didn't protest the least. "I can take on quiet a bit of men on my own, but the entire marine regime, that's going to be a stretch if there ever was one." She cocked her head to the left, listening. "We better go." She pointed down a hall, the opposite way from the sound of all the running feet. "Are you ready, or are you just going to stay there, and keep your cell mates company?" Without waiting for a reply, The red headed woman turned and started running down the long hallway.
Has anyone on here read "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline?
If so, don't tell me how it ends. I'm not even half way through!!

Anyways, I'd love to do an rp in an OASIS like setting.
For anyone who doesn't know what Oasis is it's a virtual world that encompasses all virtual worlds.
Really, I don't have too much planned out right now. I just know I really want to do something with the world so this is going to be a lot of world building.

Some things I'd like to use in this rp, that are in the book:
-A character gets infinite lives, but once he dies, he looses all his experience, and has to start over from level one.
-A character can use magic, technology, or other methods of offense/defense, but different areas have different rules so no everything will work all the time.
-Travel between worlds is possible for everyone, but its expensive, and so people can't do it whenever they want.
Here's a bump. ...
I'd like to reserve gold
Please
"Stop?" Abigail turned from the man on the floor who may or may not father children in the future, and looked at the one who'd just drawn his sword. "Why would I do that, especially now when I'm just getting started?" It was a serious question. "Would you ask a race to stop mid-stride, or a bowler to stop right after he's rolled his ball, or a gambler right after he put in every last bit of his life savings on a hand he could almost not loose with? I don't think you would." Her right hand moved down to her hip, and there was a tearing sound as she pulled off the piece of fabric that was attached by some Velcro, revealing saber's sheath. "So now then." She raised the blade, and took a fighter's stance. "Your armed, and ready for battle. So am I. We can continue, or you, not I, may stop."

Her eyes shifted slightly to look at the prisoner. "I doubt your the world's best gunner, but your proficient enough to be confident, which is the best place to start if you'd like to be the best, and that's good enough for me. Now then, Please sit down and be silent." She motioned with her blade at the shaking marine. "I've got to deal with this first, and then there's the matter of the keys."

She turned her attention back to the marine. "By the way, do you have a set on you? If so, leave them here, or we could duel for them." Abigail smiled, and raised the blade in a salute. "AFter you young man."
Hey, if there's anything that needs be changed by my latest post please let me know. I didn't think anything of it at the time because I had Abigail hitting the marines, and didn't say they knocked out or anything, but it might be crossing the line cuz I sort of did take some control of the marines.
Abigail got through the outside of the B-block pretty quickly. There were a few marines that she was able to quickly subdue, but most of them were outside frantically looking for the cause of distress. She was lucky, they probably hadn't found the unconscious soldiers, because from there it wouldn't even be a matter of minutes before they realized someone was inside. On the second floor, she stopped. There were three marines right in front of the cell she was looking for. One of the men were sleeping, and the other two were looking at him, unsure of what they should do about the sleeper. There was no time to hesitate, or point in doing it, so The red headed woman rushed forward. "Get out of my way!" She commanded, racing towards the men, hoping to knock them out and get them out of the fight before the higher ranking marine realized what was going on.

She was on them before they could figure out what was going on. One of them tried to call out, but she decked him hard enough to crack concrete, and kneed the other in the crotch as his mind did its best to catch up with the sudden change in circumstances.
I think things might pick up once our characters get into the actual saving the universes type scenarios. It's just kind of hard right now because people don't know what to do. At least that's my theory.
Well, seeing as how slowly this is going, I feel the need to ask:

@Kael Taiyou, @MagusDream, @Lights, @malmshodes, @Sharyxe, @PaulHaynek, @Izaka Sazaka, @DiamondBlizzard, @Kafka Komedy, @t2wave are you all still interested or active? Feels like a waste to just let this thing simmer down . . .

@That AWFUL Guy are you still interested?

I'm totally interested!!!
The marines didn't like what Abigail said, and would have said something on the matter, if their hands could have reacted a bit quicker, or their mouths, got everything out a lot faster. The nearer one, the one who appeared to be command did try to talk, and got some kind of syllable out, but it quickly was molded into something of a gurgling grunt. The lady in red wasn't interested in what he had to say, and add to the fact him making noise was the last thing she'd want. Really, there wasn't any other option. Her palm shot out, and smashed into his wind pipe. It wasn't hard enough to crush it so he'd likely live. "Consider this a courtesy." She mumbled as she turned away from him. "Had this been an actual contest I'd cut you up." The second marine didn't fair much better, but he did manage to get some more air out before he toppled into a heap.

"Hey!" Someone called, a marine without a doubt. "Did you hear that?" Another one replied. "It came from outside." Judging by the way the voices traveled, she was sure the speakers were somewhere on the higher floors. "Someone get over to the lights!"

Abigail didn't wait to see the look on the faces when the spot lights came on, and the bodies, still breathing by the way, were discovered. She hurried away and threw herself inside. It was too late to be sneaky now so she started full sprint towards where she thought the stairs for B block would be, certain she'd run into at least one guard with a set of keys should go borrow, for the rest of her life.
