Current It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

I know I'm going to live to regret this, but the important thing is I'll live. I'm interested, and I could already say this about my character: they're probably gonna be a noob.
Talos peered at the feed, attempting to identify the phenomena under any well documented occurrence - findings less than conclusive. Yet at the same time, an explanation wasn't the primary objective at that point in time. Though not showing it, he did notice Arden step behind him. Quite odd, but chances are it's a matter of curiosity or a response of his personality or nature as opposed to hostile intentions on his part.

Talos knew about the nanobots shortly after arriving at the facility, getting a notification of the foreign agents before the orientation began. He thought little of it, presuming the mechanisms to be a security measure more than anything. Despite how they're unlikely to do much for him initially, given his cybernetic nature, linking himself to the communications network should be possible. Holding up his right hand, palm facing up, fingers curved upward, a distinguishable, almost neon white circle appeared on his palm. His eyes glowed a similar white color as he accessed one of the nanobots. Moments later, his arm and eyes reverted back to normal. "Link up successful," he said in a monotone. He considered an in-depth diagnostic of the nanobots, but such things would have to wait.

It appeared to the android that constant group communication may not be necessary in this first mission given that their orders basically involved assisting any civilian they came across however they could. The best course of action may very well be splitting off and covering as wide an area as possible. And noticing that many were rushing to the teleporter in no particular order, this was likely the plan everyone was to be operating under. The automaton ran for it as well, taking his place behind the others; time was of the essence.
Cecilia scratched the side of her head. Felt a little premature to think of the future for some reason. But there were two career options that crossed her mind. "I'd like to be a teacher. But if not... then maybe a social worker," she answered, not with the greatest of enthusiasm, but not completely without confidence either.
Hey, just dropping by to say that I'm rather interested in joining if the offer is still up. I'm afraid that I'm not as familiar with in-game features and such as I probably should be. I don't know what level my character should be for instance. I plan on them being a spear-wielder; should I make up some skills for them to have? Skills and equipment for the future? I'm not above looking at a wikia, but I'm pretty certain it can only tell me so much.

Anyway, I'm fine with any direction you guys decide on. I do personally like the small guild idea - starting from the bottom as it were. But any suggestions for characters and game-world I should be mindful of would be appreciated.
Notwithstanding her confidence that Ivy is a very good and trustworthy person, Cecilia couldn't help but get a little nervous as she looked around at the vibrant, green foliage of the grass and trees. Still, she began to ponder the question. Sure she had her share of the classic dreams such as the Losing/Falling Out Teeth, the Being Chased, the School Assignment Due/Test Unprepared For and the like. But one did stick out to her at that moment. "My weirdest dream could be when I dreamt I was this glowing glass ball, rolling through... different places. A dark forest, a cave and ruins. I think there was even a factory? What was odd was that everything looked like pitch black silhouettes, if that makes sense. I can't remember much more than that," she said contemplatively, thinking back to the dream.
Talos

Talos quietly stayed at the back of the group, arms crossed as he listened to the opening address. He had heard similar sentiments from time to time within the last few days from both Dr. Weir and Red Tornado. Although not knowing what to expect from "The Order of Chaos", (whose name seemed an incongruous self-contradiction that gave him considerable befuddlement when he first heard it) he knew the danger they posed to be high, leaving him to wonder how he and his fellow initiates will fit into the League's counter strategy, if at all.

Such concerns would have to wait as the Flash indicated that introductions would be in order, Talos soon "greeted" by Robin who dashed in front of him before departing from him in a dazzling speed-driven display. He was caught off guard, raising his arms before determining she meant no harm. His eyebrows were raised denoting a hint of surprise.

By his noticeably pale complexion, orange cybernetic eyes and modified right arm, it was easy to tell he wasn't human at the very least. Yet, notwithstanding his inability to experience deep admiration, he believed the existence of heroes such as Red Tornado and Cyborg had set a precedent for beings like himself looking for opportunities in this line of work.

Introductions seemed to be going well until Arden's gravitational display. Although not damaged, Talos' bangs dipped a little over his eyes for a second. He wasn't annoyed, but did ponder if unprovoked feats of this kind were common and to be expected in the future.

At the same time, it did open up an opportunity for him to get his introduction out of the way. "Greetings," he stated in his usual neutral expression, his voice like that of a young man's, but with a perceivable synthetic quality to it. He raised his right hand, moving it side to side at about 5 degrees, attempting to imitate the way the doctor taught him to wave, but still rather on the unnatural side. "I am Talos, an android created by Dr. Weir. I am fully capable of interfacing with all known CPU systems and have been equipped with numerous sensory and performance enhancements." With that, he moved back, crossing his arms once again.
You know, I'd be happy with an asterisk:
Sausage fest*

*And one male android.
So now I'm officially late by even my own standards. It still needs work, but it should be enough for the time being. I'll get on weapons/tools eventually. Arc things are just concepts right now, but I will show some basic background lore to @Rex for now until I get on that.

Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

Cecilia had never played a game like this before, but believed she understood the basics. Still, the somewhat remote possibility of her fumbling or otherwise failing to catch the ball hung over her, making her a little more attentive than most would be when presented with this activity. She was mildly surprised, having assumed that each catcher would receive a different question that only they would answer before throwing, but nevertheless considered what color she would say to be her favorite. "If I have to pick one... then maybe sky blue," she answered when the opportunity presented itself.
