It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.
That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
@LiegeLord@deerling Cecilia felt silly having forgotten about dessert, but liked James' choice nonetheless, giggling as they left the dining hall. She was half expecting them to be stopped for trying to bring food outside, but the fact that they weren't came as a pleasant surprise. Still though, she kept her focus down to the plate, not wanting to let anything slip by her not paying attention. "Yeah you're right. I guess I really shouldn't be as nervous as I am now, huh?" she lightly admitted, taking a moment to look his way. Anxious as she was though, she took a good deal of strength having him beside her. Stepping into the workshop, she scanned for Ivory around where she had left her. "I-Ivory? We're back..."
@LiegeLord Cecilia had reached over to take some utensils while she heard James make hos point. "I-I don't quite know her tastes. I'm just guessing with the fruit... Um, maybe the grilled chicken will be a good choice," she wondered aloud, deciding on two choice pieces unless James had another idea. As the last of her suggestions she'd hover over the macaroni, particularly the cheesy and elbow kind, smiling back at James. If he was intent on having her make the choices, she felt pretty good about these, though she wouldn't mind if he wanted to pick something also. "I think what we have should be enough," she would say by the end, holding the plate up to carry outside. "I hope she likes what we have."
@LiegeLord Cecilia giggled when James reassured her about her project. She was pretty curious about what he made or at least planned to make. "Th-Thanks James. I try my best, but you just make it so easy. I always feel at ease around you," she said, looking up from her plate and tenderly at him. She sort of wanted to ask what brought this on from him, but she wasn't complaining. It felt nice for him to say so, and she couldn't help but resume her gaze. "Oh, r-right. We should get a move on," she said in agreement, taking James' hand and heading for the buffet once again, silently enjoying the walk over there. "I was thinking of giving Ivory some things that aren't too um exotic, something that she's sure to enjoy." Cecilia picked out some diced fruit and looked to James to pick out a main food item before they left for the workshop.
@LiegeLord Would have looked at James skeptically after his fist statement if he hadn't chuckled after, perhaps with a look that read "you saying Ivory isn't talented?". But as it happened, she looked up with a shy smile when when she felt his foot playfully touch her own. "James," she daintily protested under a fair blush that grew a little when she gazed at him. It was his next question that seemed to break her out of it sightly as she thought of her little project. "O-Oh? W-Well it wasn't anything that special. I just kind of made a flip book out of a pack of sticky notes... I thought it would be something different and well, I'm just glad Ivory seemed to like it," Cecilia said looking down to her fork slowly dancing around her salad.
@LiegeLord Cecilia was fascinated over this art piece that Neric had done, and although she didn't quite grasp why Neric shouldn't be told within the small time frame before he returned, she nodded all the same. As she thought about it later, she imagined that Neric was shy when it came to his artwork. It was quite understandable, though she found it odd how much she thought the Void reacting in such a way was strange. When Neric asked her the question in turn, she turned her head where the Void could likely tell her answer just by looking. "It was great. Ivory's really sweet and talented, though you could have probably tell that from when you met her earlier," Cecilia mentioned, taking a sip of her drink. To Cecilia, it was the partner that makes an activity special. Additionally, she was glad that her flip book met with the response that it did, but she wasn't about to start off mentioning it, for fear that James and Neric would want to see it. It was about here that she appreciated the latter's possible aversion to showing his work of art.
@LiegeLord Cecilia had started eating to try and make up for the time away. Despite the impression she received upon entering, lunch was indeed ending, most campers finishing their meals and pretty much ready for the next activity. Her mouth full, her voice hummed in slight surprise, swallowing quickly. "James, it's okay. I'd like you to come too." Cecilia smiled, feeling relieved. She felt a little less of an out of touch busybody with James being as supportive of the idea as he was. She'd want to help make a plate with him in time, but for now, she was just happy to be with him. "So how did you like the art activity?" she asked, not wanting James to be bored since pretty much finishing his lunch.
@LiegeLord Cecilia would have caught sight of the duo given enough time, Neric's smokey essence likely to have given away their position. She was elated to see them. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late. I'd like to eat with you, no doubt..." Cecilia told them, relishing the thought of spending time with them, though carefully formulating what she was about to say while she set her tray down. Her lunch selections were gravitating towards a balanced meal, though she was pretty tempted by the beef and pork taquitos, of which she decided on two of each with a small garden salad and chocolate chip cookie as sides - a step on the wild side to be sure. "Ivory decided to stay behind. I don't think she likes large crowds at all... I offered to make a plate for her, bring her something, but she said she was fine," Cecilia admitted, James liable to sense she wasn't completely content to leave it at that. On at least a minor level, Cecilia knew there was a more tactful and probably better way at approaching this, but she couldn't help the way she felt at the moment.
@deerling Cecilia nodded, feeling like more should be said aside from the simple "Alright, catch you later Ivory" she ultimately left with, starting to depart from the workshop. She would turn to quietly look at the girl from the doorway to see if she was looking her way. If Ivory was, she would reassuringly nod once more. But if she wasn't, Cecilia would sigh quietly to herself. Cecilia wanted to be friendly sure, but there was more to it than that. As she left for the dining hall, she recalled what she said at the spur of the moment earlier. Upon reflection, she should have phrased it as '... you would do the same for me'. At any rate, she wouldn't rest easy if she didn't do what she could for her, even if she did insist against it. Her destination looked just as packed as when she first saw it, but entered to take her place at the end of the line. Progress was slow, but her eyes brightened at the sight of the varied and in some cases exotic (to her at least) dishes available. Her plate would be modestly arranged, and during its preparation she would look over every option again, keeping in mind that she may be making another plate soon. Perhaps choices that are simple and proven delicious, just to be safe. She would look for a place to sit when she was ready, keeping an eye out for James and Neric if they were still around and not minding how late she was.
