lol, alright I can move away from the Caribbean. However, I am not going to revoke my claims in Mexico and South America. I can change the history to make taking those areas more realistic but I am not just going to stick with the Central American countries.
Is this better?

Here's my sheet.

Nation
Federation of Central America

Location (on map)
Central America.

History
While Europe was still fighting each other, Central America was planning reunification of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica. Nicaragua eventually joined the Federation of Central America when it was formed in 1922. Panama later joined and Belize was annexed once the British lost control of the area in 1930. Their infrastructure and industry were in terrible shape compared to North America and the government knew that they needed to fix it. Starting in 1925, the Federation introduced a bill that the former capital cities of Central America were guarantee improves in health, education, and industry. It was signed and enacted in 1928, a few months before the economic depression happened. When it did hit the region, everyone was affected.

The Federation's two biggest exports (bananas and coffee) wasn't enough to deal with the depression head on. People were getting tried of living in poor conditions and being without jobs. And in 1932, things looked bad for the Federation and it was nearly complete collapse for the ten year old nation. However, the election of 1932 told another story for the region. President Héctor Pinto won the majority of the popular and electoral votes in the Election of 1932. President Pinto got people to work by signing a series of public work projects for the country (most of them dealt with the already poor infrastructure).

The projects managed to keep the peace for awhile until President Pinto established the Central America Reconstruction Administration (CARA). The CARA was created to establish long term economic stability for Central America since they were considered to be the poorest in the Americas. While civil war was inevitably coming to the United States of America, the Federation of Central America was slowly getting used to the depression in 1937. President Pinto was elected for a second term and began to shift focus to the coffee and banana industry. Before Pinto's second term ended in 1941, he made the factories and farms more efficient in producing Central America's most important exports.

Jonatán Franco was when elected the third President of Central America in 1941. President Franco kept on using Pinto's ideas for several months until it was clear that the depression was ending. Then, he shifted his focus on the military. Even known he only served for one term, Franco had began to upgrading both the army and navy with better weapons and vehicles of the time. Afterwards, Central America was slowly improving everything from the forties to the fifties.

President Jonatán Maroto, a former lawyer who was elected at the age of sixty-six, died in his sleep on April 20th 1960. As a result, the Vice President was elected President a few days after Maroto's death. Nathanael Blackwell was the first American to be elected as the Vice President and the President of Central America. His family originally came to Central America to escape the civil war in the United States like many other Americans. Maroto knew that he needed the American voters to win the election of 1957, resulting in Nathanael becoming his running mate.

Now many Central Americans are questioning the upcoming Blackwell administration. Will he stick to Maroto's plans or will he set his own up instead?

Nation
Federation of Central America

Location (on map)
Central America and parts of the Caribbeans.

History
While Europe was still fighting each other, Central America was planning reunification of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica. Nicaragua eventually joined the Federation of Central America when it was formed in 1922. Panama and British Belize refused to joined the Federation; however, the Federation looked towards Mexico for land. The country had been struggling for awhile and it was caught off by the Central American army. Once it became clear that Mexico lost, they signed a peace treaty that made them give up all lands east of Veracruz and Oaxaca. It was the Federation's first major victory against a foreign power.

Then, the government decided that it was time to focus on expanding southwards. The nations in South America had been dealing with the economic depression The weak army wasn't ready for the decent Central American military as they invaded in July, 16th 1940. And within a month and a half, Colombia surrounded and signed a treaty that forced them to be landlocked. They also lost almost all of their oil fields, making their economic depression much worse. Their next target was Venezuela, which had been struggling under a dictator, to obtain their oil fields also. A year after the attack on Colombia, the Federation went to war on August 3rd, 1941.

Central America became the second oil producer next to the United States during the forties, making them rich. And during the Second Civil War, many Americans sought refugee in Central America and some even stayed once the Civil War ended. And the Federation began a new campaign that detailed several invasions of the Caribbean islands in the fifties by invading Jamaica, Cayman Island, and Trinidad & Tobago. The election of 1960 looked like that the conservative Rhett Herring was going to win. If he were to win, he would be the first American elected president in the country's history. However, the other candidates are using his American identity against him.

Nation
United Provinces of Central America

Location (on map)
Central America.

History
After declaring their independence from the Spanish Empire and (later) the Mexican Empire, the United Provinces of Central America experienced problems in their government. For years, the Assembly had been dissolved three different times and four Presidents were exiled. Despite the chaos, many Central Americans wanted to remain united; however, it wasn't enough to keep people at bay. The civil war began during the Mexican-American War in 1846. [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES] The United States of America saw Central America as an opportunity to invade from the south, causing the Mexican army to move back... [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES]

Once the civil war ended, the United Provinces began repairing the damages with help from the Americans. [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES] The country remained peaceful for sixty-six years until the United States got involved in South and Central America affairs. That was because of the Central American-Colombian territorial dispute of Panama, marking the earliest example of modern interventionism under the Monroe Doctrine. This would not be the last that American got involved in Central America. When the United States wanted to build a canal across Panama, they offered to buy the area from Central America. However, the dictatorship refused to give up the area required to build the canal.

Angered with the refusal, the United States supported pro-American rebel group that had plans of overthrowing the current government. In the matter of days, the rebels managed to storm the government buildings in the capital and successfully threw the dictator over five stories. Once the United States confirmed that the dictator had died, they sent over troops to Central America and installed a puppet. Everyone was surprised by the sudden move and knew that they had to accept their new ruler. [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES]

When the canal was finished, Central America saw many Americans moving to cities nearby the canal (such as Panama City, Colón, and Gamboa) and brought economical growth to the region. [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES] The puppet government also improved the health and infrastructure of the country while slowly spreading Americanism to the people; however, many of them kept holding on to their old cultures. While Europe was still fighting with each other, like the United States, the United Provinces benefited from the fighting. Then, the United States fell into an economic depression that almost bankrupted the government. Central America also entered an economic depression, but it didn't collapse the country. Unlike the United States, which fell into another civil war.

Originally, the United Provinces had plans of supporting the Union during the time of crisis. However, members of the government knew that it was perfect timing to declare their independence like they did to the Mexicans. With the help from the military, they managed to overthrow the government and laid siege to the Panama Canal. After months of fighting, the army took the Canal and sent an ultimatum to the United States. Allow the United Provinces of Central America to be independent. In return, they will have their canal back. With the civil war still going on, the American government had no choice but to accept the ultimatum. [SUBJECTED TO CHANGES]

After they have achieved their independence, the new government decided that it was time to focus on expanding southwards. Gran Colombia had been dealing with the economic depression and a deadly fire in the city of Bogotá. The weak army wasn't ready for the decent Central American military as they invaded in July, 16th 1940. And within a month and a half, the country surrounded and signed a treaty that forced them to be landlocked. Gran Colombia also lost almost all of their oil fields, making their economic depression much worse.

Central America became the second oil producer next to the United States during the late forties, making them rich. And they decided to expand into the Caribbeans in the fifties by invading Jamaica, Cayman Island, and Trinidad & Tobago. The election of 1960 looked like that the conservative Rhett Herring was going to win. If he were to win, he would be the first American elected president in thirty years. However, the other candidates are using his American identity against him.

Hands off dat canal, though.

pls let me keep it </3 you are breaking my heart

oooo i am gonna get the canal. one way or the other

<Snipped quote by The Spectre>

I mean, it would still probably be tense after the US united.

Yeah, I am fine with that.
<Snipped quote by The Spectre>

Based on that, I would say unfriendly with the US. A united Central America is a strong Central America, one that could choose to ignore US influence.

What would happen if we didn't ignore American influence? What if Central America was your puppet until the Second Civil War happened?
Alright, I have decided to play as Central America. Here are my claims (in sky blue). It would basically be what would happen if the United Provinces of Central America didn't dissolved due to civil war. I would need to discuss the relationship between America and the United Provinces with Byrd.
