Description: Her brown hair is long and wisp-like, and Bell makes sure to keep it loose despite its length. As an avid lover of fashion, she enjoys wearing many types of clothing.

Personality:
A charming young woman, Bell is a hopeless romantic. She has a cheery outlook on life and constantly believes that there is a silver lining whenever something unfortunate happens. It's the way that she keeps herself going; if she constantly sulks and hangs her head, she knows that she would never get things done. Cheery and upbeat, she is typically one for conversation with others-- she enjoys listening to stories of past endeavors and even dabbles in gossip. She dislikes it when her friends become upset or angry, and will do anything she can to cheer them up.

Bell's flaws are plenty; she becomes easily emotional and quickly gets attached to people, no matter if they want her around or not. She is also somewhat arrogant and can be seen as snobby. Claims of her magic being the best always find a way to roll off of her tongue. Bearing a somewhat childlike demeanor, Bell is naive and gullible as a person could be; she can be convinced of anything with just the right amount of work. She's also fairly dependent of men and constantly looks to them for directions and emotional support.

Backstory:
For as long as she could remember, Bell's only parent was her father. Her mother died while giving birth to her, sending him into a long downwards spiral of depression that was punctuated with an obsession over his daughter. As a simple lordling in Porostown, Estala, he made sure that Bell was well taken care of by everyone in his small estate. The servants did everything for her; they fed her, they laid out her clothing for the day, brushed her hair, bathed her, and more. Her father, on the other hand, bought her anything her heart desired-- if she wanted a horse for her tenth birthday, she was going to get it, one way or another. 

As she became older, Bell found that her life was becoming stagnant. Her only friends were the one or two handmaidens that accompanied her places, but, other than that, her father was her centerpiece. At first, she was somewhat fine with it... that was, until her body started to change. Seeing that his little girl was becoming a woman, her father made arrangements with another somewhat insignificant lord from Khaeham. She would wed the other lord's son when she turned eighteen. It was then when Bell began to protest; she didn't love the young man that lived far away from her home. She wanted to wed an exotic man, someone who thrilled her, someone who made her feel alive.

Her father shot down that notion quickly. Mages should marry mages, he told her, to keep the bloodline pure. Bell wasn't fond of such an answer, feeling anger and confusion bubble up inside. Freedom, not tradition or rules, was what she sought most in her life. And so, it was with a heavy heart that she raided her father's library and stole several tomes from his collection. The thunder tome and Bolting would serve her well, she thought, on her journey away from home. Hopefully, eighteen-year-old Bell would remain safe on her travels, that was, at least until she could make it to Greymont.

Inventory:
Bells hauls around a Thunder tome, along with a Bolting tome (which she took from her father's library but cannot use). She made sure to bring some natural remedies such as vulneraries on her travels. 

Other:
Laguz terrify her to no end due to the fact that her father told her they were monsters. Bells truly believes they are some sort of horrible demons that feast on humans.

Rhea Duvalier

Description: Long-legged and fair-skinned, Rhea usually keeps her long hair loose and about her shoulders. Her lean figure is suited for combat upon the back of a wyvern.

Personality:
Fiercely loyal and determined, this young wyvern rider will make sure she reaches her goals despite the odds that may be against her. Rhea refuses to become slothful, finding that idleness simply makes her impatient. She is ever alert; there is almost nothing that escapes her sight or hearing. Because of this, she is proud of her capabilities, and makes such a fact known through the way she carries herself. Pride is one of the more common emotions she exhibits, refusing to let her feelings get in the way of her duty. Rarely enough, a shadow of a smile dashes past her lips, but she keeps her guard up most of the time. Dismissive, blunt, and painfully honest, Rhea finds it difficult to form relationships with others due to her straightforward personality. It is only with people that she is close to that she decides to relax a little, and that is when one begins to discover that Rhea thinks of other things rather than her duty as a royal guard.  

Backstory: When she was little, Rhea used to be a cheery and upbeat girl. She, along with her younger brother, Caelholdt, fantasized about joining the Cesadian royal guard together. While the both of them were very close, a certain kind of rivalry surfaced between them, especially when their father sought to name one of them heir to the wyvern breeding business he ran alongside their mother. Neither of them desired to be the next head of the household, but favoritism was something both of them wanted. Caelholdt was the one who caught her father's eye the most; he was better than Rhea at everything, whether it be taming wild wyverns or raising them from birth. Despite his younger age, Caelholdt soon won his father's preference, leading to a slight amount of jealousy from his sister.

Their relatively peaceful lives soon came to an end, when their mother asked them to run an errand for her. Rhea, now fifteen, accompanied her thirteen year old brother to the town square in order to gather ingredients for the meal they would eat that night. Unfortunately for them, they were ambushed by a group of ruffians on their way home. The bandits stole the food they bought and robbed them of any coin they might have had left over. Not only did they want their possessions, but their sights soon turned to Rhea. Caelholdt, seeking to defend his older sister, drew the sword he had at his belt in order to fight the band of unruly men. He told his Rhea to run back home, in which she did. Her brother never returned that night, or any night that passed after that.

Her parents began to resent Rhea. She was blamed for Caelholdt's death, and they deemed that she had been willing to get him out of the way in order to inherit their fortune. For a time, Rhea attempted to live through her mother's and father's coldness. But eventually, their distant natures turned into abusive ones, and there were times where Rhea was left unfed. It was when Rhea was sixteen that she decided she had enough; she left home in the middle of the night with one of her father's wyverns and headed towards the harbors. With the connections that her father forged with sailors and traders, she found a way to sail across the sea with her wyvern. 

Icarus and Rhea became extremely close during the preceding travels, and the beast stuck at her side even when she joined the Estalan army. Her talents allowed her to blaze through the ranks, eventually earning her a spot within the royal guard of the Estali nobles. At twenty years old, Rhea was told she would have to protect the crown prince on his journey to the isles to the north. It was then that Rhea made a decision. She would guide and care for Eli as if he were her own blood. There was no way that she would let anything happen to him like she let happen to Caelholdt-- not even over her dead body.

Inventory: A steel lance and a couple of herbal remedies she makes sure to take with her on her travels. Her tattered, leather satchel contains the instruments she uses to clean Icarus' scales.

Other: Rhea is extremely close to and protective over Prince Eli, and cares for him deeply. She also shares a strong bond with her wyvern, Icarus.

Description: Being a fox Laguz, it makes sense for Aeryn to have a rather voluptuous figure. Her bust is rather large, though it is not large enough to be a hindrance. Atop her head sprout two long, black ears that swivel and twitch as she listens to her surroundings. A grayish tail with scarlet highlights billows behind her, and Aeryn tends to it well. Her skin is somewhat tan from roaming about, and her glowing yellow irises encircle slit pupils.

While Aeryn prefers to clothe herself in wondrous garbs, her state of being at the moment forces her to hide the aspects of being a Laguz. A tawny cowl hides her fox-like ears and the glow of her eyes, and the length of her cloak does not allow her tail to come into view. The sound of chiming, akin to the tinkling of bells, rings out from beneath her shroud of clothing.

Aeryn, in her beast form, retains her long, black pointed ears and yellow eyes. Most of her body is gray, save for her legs, which are black-colored. Her fur bears russet undertones, which are most noticeable around her neck, sides, and tail. The top of her tail is a gray color, while the bottom is the same reddish hue found along the rest of her body. In reality, her appearance is extremely similar to a cross between a gray fox and a silver fox. She stands at 3'6 at the shoulder and weighs about one hundred pounds.

Personality:
The embodiment of mischief and cunning, there's nothing Aeryn likes more than having fun. Dreams of adventure and grandeur always flood her thoughts, and she fantasizes about roaming the lands, meeting different types of people, and finding treasure. She enjoys playing pranks and teasing others, often to the point of planting herself in deep amounts of trouble. Although this might be the case, Aeryn always finds a way of getting herself out of sticky situations, whether it be with bribes or (usually un-kept) promises. Despite her trickery and deceit, Aeryn is proud of her heritage-- there's no one alive that will make her feel bad for being a Laguz. Upset her, or question her beliefs, there is nothing that will hold her tongue back from speaking her mind.

Even though she has a sufficient amount of flaws, she almost always maintains a friendly air about her. Aeryn is always willing to make friends and allies, unless she truly dislikes certain individuals. She is fairly social and talkative, craving interaction from those around her. There are times where she seems flirtatious, but only exhibits such a trait towards men that catch her eye. All in all, Aeryn is a expressive and passionate Laguz, despite her crude nature.

Backstory:
The earliest memory Aeryn can remember is being carried around on her elder sister's back, scouring the desert alongside the rest of their tribe. Having never known their father, Nyota's and Aeryn's mother entrusted their well-being with the tribe-members before her own death. The two were taken care of by friends of their mother as if they were their own blood, teaching them how to hunt and defend themselves from rival tribes and even humans. One thing they did not teach Nyota and her, however, was how to spot and avoid traps laid out by humans. When Aeryn was thirteen, both her and her twenty year old sister were caught in bear traps hidden underneath shallow sand near the plains while they were scrounging around for food. For hours, Nyota tried to get them out of the situation; her older sister struggled to pry open the sharp objects that had clamped tightly around their ankles. Her efforts were futile, for the humans soon came upon them, spiriting them away over the northern border and into Cesadas.

Nyota's wound became infected during their captivity, plaguing her with a desperate fever that made her skin pale and her fur dull. The trappers found no use for her, having found her beauty tarnished by disease and infection. They no longer fed or watered her, and eventually, she perished in a cage far from Aeryn's own. In fact, it took many weeks for her to be told that her elder sister died at the hands of trappers. It was why most of the humans put all of their attention on her-- she was the only fox Laguz they had, and because of that, she was extremely valuable on the market. 

Only a few days passed before an interested buyer laid his eyes on Aeryn. The slavers told the man that she was the most valuable of their Laguz shipment, thus, she was priced at a high amount. She was placed in another cage, this time one on the back of a wagon. Thus began her travels near the coasts of Cesadas; while she didn't know where exactly she was headed, it appeared as if her new owner lived near the ocean. However, one night, their tiny troop was attacked by bandits. The man that bought her was slaughtered in the action, leaving her at the mercy of the highwaymen. Luckily for Aeryn, they were scroungy and their numbers were few. She easily overpowered them, killing one and escaping the grasp of the others. Now a free woman, she set her sights towards the docks and snuck onto a boat, stowing away in its food supply.

When Aeryn arrived on the shores of Ibion, she realized that she really had no idea where to go from there. She had lost her sister, and the trauma of being caught by trappers made her too afraid to find a way back to her tribe. As a fourteen year old Laguz, she realized that she would have to adapt to her situation, and adapt fast, at that. Luckily for her, Ibionese people were rather tolerant of other races and cultures. At least, they were more tolerant than most of the humans she had encountered so far. Whenever she settled in a place for longer than usual, she made a living as a merchant, selling her less desirable objects to those who did not adventure and find treasures themselves. Most of the time, however, Aeryn has been, and continues to be, a free-roaming adventurer. She has explored the entire continent of Aralea, and currently seeks to broaden her horizons and find new places to visit.

Inventory:
A small pouch that contains precious things she finds on her travels. Such objects range from glimmering coins to shiny stones.

Other: Has a keen sense of smell and hearing, and is able to catch scents and sounds that others could overlook. Aeryn is able to remain out of sight for an extended amount of time, bearing a skill that allows her to sneak past people without being detected.
