The distraction she'd hope Damian would be didn't happen, and Penny once more found herself at the attention of this girl. She squirmed slightly, "yeah well we don't have tests or anything to get in. master Jamie is pretty accepting." she said, "Master Jamie will be able to give you a guild mark and such later" she added, she paused for a moment, "there is nothing simple about fire magic. It can be stunningly beautiful, and amazingly complicated. You just have to know how to use it to its full potential"
As Grane walked onto the field, Penny stiffened. She had hoped that he wouldn't be a part of the council anymore, hoped that Masahiko would have got rid of the brute, but obviously that wasn't the case. She still could remember the feeling of smashing through the building walls, and it made her feel queasy to know that Grane was still in a position of power.
"ah, what type of fire magic?" she asked as if nothing was wrong.

She supposed it could be, but..."how can we? I...EDo Karn wasn't seen for the rest of the time we were there. I know the guild there searched, but couldn't find anything to give any indication of where she went. I don't think she can be here"
