Her hand curled around the wedding ring she still wore, obviously missed. Perhaps Carrie's previous words would hit Zepyher now, about the twins being child killers, perhaps not, but all Carrie knew was that he had a loud, insensitive mouth.
In fact the only reason Carrie had joined the council to begin with was to destroy the twins.
