Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Frenzy Plant Vs Phoenix Wing A part two

Zander called out something named 'Riot Lily' to Xyster, which Nolan could only assume that it was some team technique to take him down since he was giving them the most trouble so far. The ruby sword that Zander held was thrown straight towards Nolan, piercing the ground before his feet. Three pillars of rubies surrounded Nolan in a triangluar formation and before he knew it, the sharp sound of the wind whistling pierced his ears. Xyster head leaped at him like a mad vortex of blades hopped up on pure caffiene. Nolan leaned to the right as she flew by him, the Harvester left a minor cut on his left arm. There wasn't time to think about a wound as minor as that since that creature of death was flying straight towards him again. Now he understood the purpose of this strategy. Those ruby structures allowed to rebound towards him over and over again like a pinball in order to restrict his movement, which meant that Zander was going to use this chance to strike while he could barely move from the spot.

With only quick, small movements he kept on avoiding lethal blows from Xyster's strikes though now his body was starting to get covered in cuts. At this moment these wounds weren't serious but if they accumulated even further then it would become much more dangerous though that was the furthest thing on Nolan's mind. Xyster was so damn fast that he was having trouble keeping track of her just to dodge her onslaught of attacks. Hell even if he could counter her, her forward momentum would break whatever footing his had and leave him wide open for another attack. To make it worse Zander was falling straight towards him with a blade with Nolan's name written all over it.

There was very little time for him to react to Zander's strike. White energy began glow faintly around him, outlining his body. A large arm sprung from his back and grabbed onto the blade tightly, keeping it in place as if it was lodged into stone. Nolan ducked down at the last moment before Xyster's scythe could cleave his head off, a lock of hair floated down to the ground. Holding his hands together, a small sphere of ashes formed in the space between them. "Ash God's Explosive Cinders!" In that small gap of time, Nolan thrusted an attack that was normally used for long range, wide spread destruction straight towards Xyster's stomach. It was an attack that expanded just before exploding.

On the verge of inflicting a decisive blow, Zander was nearly jarred loose from his sword when a giant phantom arm from nowhere interrupted its descent. Zander gritted his teeth, trying not to scream as his own arms felt like they were being torn from their sockets. By focusing on thinking up a counterattack, he managed to repress the pain, and through narrowed eyes he assessed the situation. Some sort of shaped spirit energy held his sword with an iron grip, but beneath it, Nolan was hilariously vulnerable. The Ruby Knight was in the process of considering whether or not he could draw his messer before landing when two things happened: firstly, light and noise indicated incoming projectiles headed right for the hanging warrior, and secondly, the Ash God Slayer released a cluster of volatile ashes at Xyster as she sped by. By leading the shot, courtesy of the Dullahan's predictable trajectory, Nolan managed to score a direct hit and send Xyster tumbling in a fountain of beige and black.

Growling, Zander let go with one arm, bent his elbow, and held it in front of his face. Joshua's magical blades struck him as he hung by one hand, glancing off his metal armor and chipping the ruby parts but scoring no direct hits. Snarking momentarily took the soldier's mind off the strain: "Shoulda been there for my lesson this morning." With that, he dropped from his sword, deciding not to risk a potentially catastrophic blow to Nolan's head. He landed on the sand a few feet away, and hurried to pull his messer from his belt. He wholeheartedly expected Nolan, now that his apparently uncuttable spirit arm held the ruby sword, to try and use it against him. At the very least, he knew as he watched the particles settle around a wrathful Xyster, he wasn't in this alone.

Whether anyone was listening or not, the Dullahan said in a static-laden coo, "Ooh, that was a good one. Riot Lily is a deadly flower. If you're that good, I guess that means I have to get...serious." Her smile melted away, replaced by an unremarkable frown. On the other side of the Ash God Slayer, Zander subtley averted his eyes. The next instant, Xyster's pupils vanished, making her eyes seem like brilliant emerald moons in a forest-colored night, just before they blinked out and became marbles of ebony. Into that pitch-black void, Joshua and Nolan would find that they could not avoid staring, a nebulous and fascinating infinity into which they could feel their life seeping.

Death Glare is creepy as hell, even to me, Zander decided before muttering, "Scarlet sword: Jagged Red Ruby" The blade of his messer became encrusted with red spikes, barbs, and spurs, now serrated, dangerous, and perfect for cleaving through defensive magic. The Ruby Knight chopped at the base of Nolan's spirit arm, trusting that whatever spirit energy the Ash God Slayer used was sympathetic in nature, as spirit magic tended to be, in order to deal some damage and regain his calvary sword.

If that attack were to collide with any other person they probably would've been out for the count, but Xyster was far from ordinary. She could take punishment and then dish it right back out to her opponents. It was to be expected from a monster such as herself. Still, why did he had a cold feeling tingling down his spine when he looked at her? It wasn't fear of her as a woman, but an apprehension of whatever she was planning to do. She muttered about getting serious and her pupils faded away, her eyes shined with brilliant shade of green and then after she blinked, darkness filled those orbs.

He couldn't look away. It was like his will was overwhelmed by whatever desire to stare into the abyss that were the Dullahan's eyes. Slowly but surely he could feel his energy being drained away like cup of water left out in a desert sun. "Tch, eye magic huh? Interesting, but I don't have time for cheap tricks." What Xyster should've remembered was that Nolan was capable of manipulating his own ashes even when they were scattered around and she was still standing in the field ashes from Nolan's previous attack. With a flick of the wrist upwards, not only did a cloud of ashes explode in front of Xyster, but it shot straight towards her eyes. The cloud of ashes had effectively cut her Death Glare off from Nolan and Joshua.

Zander's slash had cut the spirit arm due to Nolan's focus being shifted away for the moment and the ruby blade fell and pierced the ground.

Joshua cursed as his blades seemed to have little effect on the ruby clad knight. That armor was going to be a pain, if nothing else. Switching back to his regular sword, he watched as Nolan got out of his situation and had to respect his fellow mage. In that kind of scenario, Joshua knew he would've been finished unless he had help. Maybe he wasn't cut out for being a mage when it came to fighting opponents of this calibur.

Shaking his head, he pushed that last thought away. Such thinking would only lead to his defeat. He needed to focus on trying to win this thing. Zander seemed to be busy with the spirit arm so he looked over at the headless-freak. As it turned out, that was a bad idea. She did another thing with her eyes and when he looked into them, he quickly found himself unable to look away while at the same time, if felt like his energy was being drained. Not the most pleasent feeling. He quickly tried to think of a way out of this, but it seemed Nolan was experienced with this kind of thing, as his teamate summoned up a wall of ash that cut off the effects.

"Thanks!" He shouted before looking over at Zander, who had defeated the spirit arm. Cursing, Joshua began moving towards the knight. He didn't bother with possible projectile attacks after the last one failed. He was going to have to rely on swordsmanship alone with this one. Once he was close enough, Joshua drew his adamantine blade while at the same time aiming a slash at Zander's ribs. Even if the armor did protect him, the blow was still going to do some damage, at least he hoped.

By the time Joshua closed the distance, Zander had swapped his messer to his off handm regained his ruby sword, and whirled to face him. His studious eye turned to his adversary's technique, examining the fluid motion with which the one-sided cleaver was unsheathed and swung. "Iaido." The soldier predicted the blade's arc and the point of impact, and held his messer in front of his face, his only obvious weakspot. Knowing that his armor, with its gleaming manganese-brass constitution, could tank a blow anywhere else, he whistled and swung the flat of his blade at the side of his opponent's head, seeking to make Joshua see stars and perhaps think twice about engaging in a mundane sword fight with the Ruby Knight.

Meanwhile, Xyster did not stand idly by. Though the searing ashes hurt, they could not suffocate a being who could not draw breath, and without any noise the Dullahan advanced. Still empowered by Jack Be Nimble, she bolted forward, swinging her scythe to resummon her protective black aura as she did. When within range, she jumped forward and slid across the ashy sand, kicking it to either side before she lashed out with a rising diagonal slash.

Nolan trusted that Joshua would be able to handle Zander for the meantime though he figured that he would have to jump in and help him shortly. However there was one problem that he had to deal with and that same problem was heading straight towards him with a scythe in hand. After experiencing many of her attacks on a first hand experience, he figured out by sight for what kind of slash she was aiming for from the positioning of the scythe while she charged at him. Nolan simply took a step back as the scythe almost grazed his nose and ashes began to twist and turn around his arm. "Ash God's Wayward Wind." He threw a spiral of ashes at her, creating a whirlwind of ashes that blew her off her feet, the attack twist and turned violently before it threw her back down to the ground with excessive force.

Sasha

Lazarus wasn't making any sense and that worried her. "It was bound to happen." She said softly, "No, I don't think you should go to the infirmary" There had been too much going on, too much happening, and how many more of their members would be harmed in one way or another before this was over? "Lets go back to the hotel. I'll get one of the med staff to came over, okay?" She didn't particularly wanted to leave Lazarus, but figured he'd be okay with Trinity, and Karn. She looked over to Trinity and Karn, worried about the small shape shifter.

Michael

Michael was worried as well, but Zephyr was strong, and he seemed to be alright. "Zephyr will be okay, he seemed to be, before I got distracted by you and what was happening" Michael said "I can send a spirit to check on him" that was a good idea, and Michael did just that, summoning one of his messenger gods to check on Zephyr.

Jessie

"Don't worry so much, Ferris. It's food"
Jessie said with a small laugh, taking out her own mic as they made their way back to the commentator box. "Yeah, but then we can never know what will happen until it does! There's so much these contestants can show us, and they will always surprise us!" She opened the box a they arrived, entering, she quickly took her seat, leaning against the counter, looking back to smile at Ferris, turning her mic off. "Don't worry. The food won't bite"

Penny

It didn't take her long to figure out that Damian wasn't at the stadium, and she didn't want to leave without telling him. It also didn't take h er long to figure out that there had been a lot of stuff going on.

She retreated to the hotel, hoping that by the time she got there, she'd find Damain.

"Maybe" nyx agreed, rising "well now, what shall we do now?"

"Well, that's quite a package after a few moments of meeting. I was just simply drawn to you" tran said

"I can't either" hermia said, "it just seems better, living together, making something together"

"There are probably ways of finding out" Sasha said, "and we'll have plenty of time to make some of each. Guess we will find out when it hatches"
Taking time to simply relax, and allow Tori to fully recover, Kalinda was once more baking sweets in the morning, waking early to do so, this time she was making donuts, and as Tori came out, presumably due to their scent, Kalinda was just icing them.

Without needed to be told, Tori began to clean up, but as soon as Kalindas back was turned, she stole a donut, and quickly bit into it, so that when Kalinda turned back it was too late to have it taken away.

Kalinda merely sighed, and found a container, putting some of the donuts into it. "eat some toast, and have a glass of juice at least"

Soon they were making their way to the school
"You don't have to wait for me, you may start" Oliva said, stepping back to allow the two space, but ready to intervene if it needed. She was still on guard, and she watched the trio to see if there was any sign that they would lose control
There wasn't much that Heloise could do. She was nimble, a wicked shot with a dagger and good at hiding. This wasn't something she could do, unless she had high powered weapons, and she wasn't ready to risk anymore daggers in trying to stop the sand snakes.

So she watched, she studied and watched to see if there was anything she could do, or to tell others that something was up. Even then the others seemed to know what was what before she did.

Even in escaping she wasn't required, except to get into the vehicle and escape with them all. She climbed in, and curled up, annoyed at herself and how useless she had been. As they travelled, she looked out the window, the sights so familiar to traveling with her father that it put an ache in her heart at the memory of him.

As they stopped, and everyone climbed out, she did too, staring at the sky. As Xerox spoke, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. As Trabia was mentioned, everything seemed to fade. Her home. She might not call it home anymore, but that had been the first place she knew, jt had been where she had trained and it had been where she saw her father last.

Her resolve strengthened. "in other words the place is gone. In other words, they want us to back down.

I'm not going to"

I finally managed to post
The attempt to communicate with Scree seemed to fail, and she gave a sigh, continuing about making sure that he was otherwise okay, curious about how his body was reconnecting itself. She would give anything to study Scree, and hoped he would be happy to allow her. He seemed the curious type.

And then everything seemed to happened once more. Niesha cursed, figuring she would be in charge of the strange Scree, Niesha glanced to him, as he spoke to himself. From his tone it was clearly a wondering where the hell he was. "it's an infirmary. In-fir-ma-ry. To repair injuries" she pointed to his nose at this, trying to convey the meaning behind her words, as well as pointing around the infirmary.

After a few seconds she offered her hand, "it's not safe, let me take you somewhere safe, okay?" she gave what she hoped was a reassuring smile, waiting to see if he'd accept the offered hand. While Niesha was good at languages, she wasn't going to sit there and learn a new one in minutes. So gestures and other ways of communicating would have to do.
