'How does it feel to be different?' [Dioxide x Caits]

For the briefest of seconds, Caits thought she might just get out of there without a fuss. Even if she had to go with them, she was sure she'd be able to slip away. And then they asked about her captain. She shifted slightly, shifting a gun just so, and looked over them.

"I'm not a newbie. I've probably been around a lot longer then you boys. My captain? I don't have one, unless you count the boss himself. I'm an agent, not some pansy solider. I'm training to capture. I sure as hell have a Better chance at catching the rogue agent then you lot of sorry excuses for soldiers. You may know how to use a weapon, but that does not mean you have the right to be disrespecting, to someone just doing their job. You have a problem with me, you can take it up with the boss. Now I have a job to do, and I've wasted enough time"

She didn't give them time to speak, but rather she turned slightly, her training, which she should thank the boss for, had her ready for the unexpected. She doubted the soldiers were prepared for anything and everything.

"Unless you'd care to tell the boss why I can't do my job?" She looked back, and raised and eyebrow. It was easy to project confidence, authority and just plain annoyance. A careful balance, that would hopefully deter them from asking anymore questions or from looking too closely. If they did...well she wasn't afraid to put them out of the way.

To be honest I'm in complete study mode. In exactly one week I'll be free for four weeks!

I'm thinking of moving things along soon cause...this has been going on forever and I don't think I'm the only one wanting to be doing something else.

"It helps to have something to fight for. People don't think having those you can call family is important, but it is. It gives us strength, and enables us to reach for heights we never thought we could" Drew said "and the guilds in the games are nothing if not family. It tells us their limits aren't yet reached, but it makes me wonder if something goes wrong, how we can seek to contain the damage. Already there is tension between the guilds, old grievances and grudges unresolved come to light again, and there is nothing so terrifying as a guild master wanting to protect their members, except maybe a parent for their child"

Guilds are important, giving mages a place to find work, to live and create a community, and to train" she shrugged, "maybe it's just that magic is getting stronger again, that there has to be stronger mages. But then again, the games are to find the strongest guild so you gotta expect monster level mages" she gave her easy laugh

I'm not going to be posting today. I spent most of the last 14 hours curled in a ball cause my stomach hurt so much and then the last five hours out in the rain selling programs and trying not to pass out. And oh goodie I get to sit three hours in a cold room tomorrow trying to remember the ideal gas equation and whatever else I'm suppose to know for a stupid exam that proves nothing.
