Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

As Astrid came out, Niesha wondered how much blood they had used. She made a note to come around sometime soon to donate blood. A pint might not be Much, but it could be the difference between life and death. And it did make her feel better, to have something she could do. She shook her head, "we're okay here. None of the kids seem to be hurt."

Going over to Kristina, she grabbed another chair, and said "you should elevate your foot" she had, briefly, forgotten about Krisina's injured ankle. She hadn't got her ice, either. Of course, she'd been interrupted in doing that by everything that had gone on.

She waited to hear if there was anything they could do, but she suspected that they were doing all they could here, frowning slightly. She wondered if the guy who had attacked her the day before coming here was connected to whoever the shooter was. There was no point trying to figure that out. It wasn't likely she was going to get an answer on that.
@Lexiconsigrun, given that dieter is injuried right?

Chiyo seemed to think that deny them access to her "special group" was hurting them, when it fact it was harming her. Cassandra kept her face blank, wondering how Chiyo had even got this far in life, and in the game. Could she merely be a pawn, for someone else? she wondered, wanting to look at Eris, to try and figure out what she was thinking, but not wanting to appear weak. No doubt if I show any sign of weakness, Chiyo will use it. Chances are, she'll use anyone against me...including Eris. her hands curled, a sudden anger filling her.

She leaned forward, appearing thoughtful, knowing she was risking another slap, but honestly not caring about that. "So, let me get this straight. You'd rather not use Eris, to her full capacity, simply because you wish to show control? Seems a bad move for this war. But" She said, leaning back and giving a shrug, "What do I know? I'm just a healer, I keep people alive, and probably know nothing of battle techniques. So that could be the best move you do" She managed, although she didn't know how, to keep her voice puzzled, and then praising.

Perhaps Chiyo would be smart enough to read between the lines. Cassandra didn't really care. where is this recklessness coming from? she wondered, perplexed at it, but not entirely disappointed with it. Perhaps it was simply the way Chiyo treated Eris. Perhaps it was wanting to show Eris that she could look after herself, and that Eris didn't need to do this, to simply protect her.
It was a good post ^.^

I'm starting to get into the swing of writing long long posts again, instead of three paragraph ones

Finding herself in the midst of a battle, unable to get through, Niesha did her best to stay alive, creating solid-well, it was more a swirling mass of shadows-balls to throw at anyone that looked like they were going to try and kill her, often swirling shadows around her, and running somewhere else instead.

And then Zach was there, practically sweeping her off her feet in an attempt to, she thought, protect her. She was sure her cheeks, although red from the battle, blushed even deeper. Is...is this what it is, to feel safe? as foolish as that sounded, in the middle of a battle, Niesha nevertheless couldn't deny the fact she felt...safe.

A wall of shadows seemed to protect them for a moment, and Niesha reached up to lay a hand agaisnt Zach's cheek. "Hey" A smile played across her lips, although she seemed unaware of it, "Fancy meeting you here" And then the shadow wall, and she started to fight again, limiting the use of her shadow abilities so she didn't work herself into exhaustion too soon. She kept it to shadow balls, now that Zach was with her. She automatically moved so that she was guarding his back, and he hers.

Luna looked to the crew member, and grinned, a laugh playing around in her voice "Well, it certainly seems like I am, but what does that matter?' She ducked her head, preparing for the wave, "We must all nbe a little mad to be here" She drew in a deep breath, and closed her eyes tightly, ducking her head closer against one arm. As the wave crashed over them, Luna held as tight as she could, knowing that if she let go, she'd be swept away, never to be seen from again.

The cold of the sea water would have been shocking, if she hadn't already been half soaked from helping to put the fire out. Even with her eyes closed, the salt stung her eyes, and a cut she hadn't known she had gotten stung badly. As she was pushed violently against the support, her breath escaped her in a woosh, creating bubbles as the water washed over them. Within seconds, her lungs burned for oxygen, and she had to fight the natural instinct to breath.

Just when she thought she couldn't take it anymore, the wave was gone, and they were cresting it. She drew in a deep, relieving breath. And another laugh escaped her, a joyful, breathless one. They were alive. They had survived one challenge. Catching her breath, she shook her head, her hair, already messy, stood up everywhere. She didn't try to flatten it, as she stood up, turning to the crew member that had saved her butt so many times today. At Edward's words, Luna realised she didn't know his name. "Thanks again. I'm Luna. Ah, I'm one of the medical staff" She smiled, "A pleasure to meet you. Ed, I'm going to go see if anyone needs medical attention, save me a plate okay?"

Turning back to the crew member, she said "It probably won't be the last time I use you as an anchor. Or anyone else, for that matter. So...I hope that doesn't bother you" She leaned up, and kissed him on the cheek, simply relieved to be alive, "gotta go, now! Whoa, how'd I manage to hold onto my supplies?" Amused, she darted off, taking out a sodden bandages. Well. She'd just have to make do. If anyone needed serious attention, she'd get them to the infirmary.

She checked everyone that she could over, and figured if they were walking, then they were fine for now. Once satisfied, she darted off down the halls of the ship, dripping water, seemingly not caring about that. She stumbled upon more then found the medical bay. She was sure she looked a fright, covered in sea water, hair all over the place, clothes dishelved, bruises probably starting to show, and that damn cut stinging. Yet she was still smiling, apartently thrilled with everything that had been going on.

She took in the sight, unsurprised to see it a mess. She was sure everything was thrown about in that wave. "hi" She said brightly, enthaustically, "Sorry it took me so long to get here, there was a fire, and then the wave...well, anyway, I'm here now! I'm one of the medical staff, a nurse" She said, happily introducing herself. Trotting over to what she took as her boss here, she offered a hand to help them up, "Wow, you really had a time down here, too huh? A broken bone already? Although that's not surprising. Everyone seems to be okay though, which is amazing considering everything!"
"I am an empath." Ashleigh said, after pondering whether or not to reply. She couldn't keep her powers a secret, so she might as well tell this kid what they were. She held up her hand, witht he bracelet "Unfortunately, my abilities are strong. I get overwhelmed with others emotions. Paulina pretty much saved my life with this bracelet. I also have telekinesis-lord knows where that comes from-and the ability to heal"

She gave a shrug, "I don't particularly like my abilities. I'd prefer to be normal, but sadly I was a freak there anyway, even without my powers" She said it without emotion, and looked down at her book, hoping that Paulina would rescue her from small talk

I would also like to have her meet Connor at some point too.

sure, but why?
"I'll threaten him all I want. I know what it is to be beaten up, remember?" Ashleigh said softly, letting herself be dragged away. Sometimes there was no resisting Paulina. Spying Jason, who seemed a bit degected, Ashleigh couldn't seem to help herself. She gave him a smile, and a wave, grateful he had come to help her friend. "Especially since he feels no remorse at nearly doing so to you" When Paulina stopped dragging them alone, Ashleigh removed her hand, and drew in a deep breath.

"How much longer do we have to be here? Too many emotions, too much conflict. I'd rather be in my room, reading" She said, wearily. The use of her powers always left her tired, especially the healing aspect. And she had already interacted with people more then she normally would. She retrieved her book, but rather than walk over, she used her telekinesis to bring it over to her, catching it.

She yawned, and rubbed at her eyes with one hand. "acting out of anger is one thing, going straight for physical abuse is another, Paulina. And You know I don't do threats. They're promises. I don't want you hurt" She said softly, glancing about the gym. "I restrained myself. Because I know what it is to not be able to control my powers. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was his powers" She gave a shrug, and fell silent, yawning again

Luna was surprised when Nevan approached her, offering her a phone. is she just doing it, because she pity's me? Luna wondered, staring at the phone, she was nevertheless thankful. She was about to say something when Rose approached, the girl that had blushed when Luna had looked at her. She gave Rose a smile, and she took the offered phone. She felt that Rose would be devestated if she didn't take it, and she wanted to put the girl at ease. Besides, she was cute.

"Thank you, both of you" She said, giving Nevan a smile, hoping that Nevan would understand. She didn't want to offfend either of them, yet Rose seemed to be more suseptable to feeling rejected, and Luna didn't want that.

She craddled the phone, wondering how long it would be before she smashed it or something, but vowed to make sure she didn't. Or at least make a very good effort not to. "Um. Maybe you could put your number in it?" She said, making it a question, and holding the phone back out to Rose, with a small smile."After all, I might need it today" She felt like just asking outright for Rose's number might make the other girl unable to speak for a bit. This way, she'd have the number, even if Rose just thought it was for the job.

She looked about at the others that were there, noting Jacklyn's appearance, but she was looking about for Chris. She wanted to apologise for her behaviour yesterday, and maybe figure out if he had been flirting with her. Her gaze slid back to Rose and she smiled brightly again.

She looked over at the spike in emotion, seeing Joshua. She frowned slightly, and when he spoke, she raised an eyebrow, but decided not to say anything. Why cause a fuss? "Thanks, i really appreciate the phone. I'll take good care of it, I promise" She said to Rose
