Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

I feel like I do better...and then something throws me back right to the start
I also said that Vicier knowledge was actually medically sound. I have the text books and journal articles to back that up.

And I also said that I merely wanted to suggest a better drug given that you are interested in that stuff, but I guess I can't do something nice.

I'm giving up, because I can't do this anymore.

I'm going back to posting now.
@Sodomite
I'm not going to argue anymore because what's the point? I've suffered with insomnia and depression for years myself. Approximately 13 actually.

I have personal experience as well and yes I do know that drugs become less effective. I know all these because I have the personal, professional experience to back it up as well as the knowledge.

I'm just not going to argue it anymore.

I merely wanted to suggest a medication that does the same and is better given that middle earth has an interest in that sort of thing. It was merely meant to be one like minded individual (in this sense) to another suggesting something that could be better in the long run.

So. Sorry.

Drugs are a personal favorite of mine to know. And I do get a little...over the top about them. I never meant it as an attack and feel like everyone has just blown my intention out of proportion.

I don't like diazepam, because it can be such a dangerous drug.
@Jacobite
Yes. But it seems strange that sombra is giving ow agents jobs. I don't mind not knowing about it but Vic as the GM does need to know. Otherwise she's scrambling and her own development for everyone is slowed because of it.

Sadly for you I guess the slice of life stuff is development. It is leading into things. This introduction section is...what has to happen. After all even in the comics they aren't always fighting.
@MiddleEarthRoze
You obviously have done the research however if you are using websites they are generally just an overview. Medical databases and medication databases such as MIMs gives you everything that is correct about a drug. I've been doing this for eight years. Yes while diazepam suppresses the CNS, it does so dangerously. Anyone compromises as I image Virgil would be would actually be at risk of...death. And I imagine since he has the parasite of actually losing more ground with it.

There is another drug that does the same as Diazepam but doesn't have those harmful effects. It is the same type of drug, I just can't remember the name. I'll have to grab my notes cause it's in those I've just written, which I'll do so after I play with my kitten. I just thought you might like that, and be a little be more accurate. I don't like messing about with diazepam because it is a tricky drug.

And yes people are different but I can tell you, no matter what person, what condition, what they come in with, every single one of my patients in my experience across four hospitals and two community health areas who were on diazepam were on it for sleep issues. Every single one has good use with it even after years.

And there is only so much coffee can do to keep someone awake. After even 24 hours awake, your brain and body lose a lot of its ability to function normally. The longest anyone has ever survived without sleep is 10 days. Well that...I'm not going to get into the...let's just leave this at that. Caffeine is a drug. But it only goes so far. Eventually, receptors are saturated. Eventually the body just goes "nope. Time to sleep" and yes I know that that may be different for insomnia, but eveventually the body overpowers that. The body knows it needs sleep.

Let me just say that there are reasons why diazepam is no longer the number one benzo prescribed

Oh and it was actually meant to be "I didn't say that middle earth was wrong" the wrong just got...lost.
Ugh

I'm
Just blankingfir just about everything right now
And chatting with Vicier, assignments will be handed out in the next couple of postss
@Jacobite
I didn't say middle earth, I was just asking if you guys were aware that it is a sedative...and trying to find something that might b e a bit better. There is a drug...which I cn't remember off the top of my head, that acts similar without the sedative effect.

@Jacobite
yes that is true with aany medication, however, after thirty hours of no sleep...it would be effectie. I was just pointing out what the drug actully was. I am a nurse, and Iam studying to be a pharmacist, so I have this knowledge and just...can't help but shre
@MiddleEarthRoze
Hey mate, I'm going to be annoying and ask (since I'm rereading posts at the moment) but you do know that while Diazepam is a medication for anxiety, it is actually a sedative? So if he had had Diazepam in the supposedly thirty hours since he last slept, it would actually put him to sleep?

This is coming from three drug text books as well as experience in practice. Just want to make sure you know this.

If you are looking for something thats more for keeping anxiety stable or other such disorders, I'd be happy to help you there ^.^
