Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

@Mistress Dizzy@KatherinWinter
There were many things that Kalinda knew she could do, yet she knew that a lot of attacks were won by surprise… which is what she could be. No one would truly expect her to come out of the shadows… even if they knew someone was there, it was hard to know, truly, where someone would appear. Plus with her empathic abilities she could be aware of anyone that was aware of her. So she followed along behind Griffin easily, keeping track of him by his own rather unique emotions.

She was confident in Griffins abilities but that didn't mean she wasn't going to help, and so she began to use the shadows to her advantage, manipulating them to seize looters and trouble makers, and essentsilly causing havoc amoung them.

Phoebe followed Katherine, and as her friend set to work, she did too, making petrified wood to help secure buidlinga, preventing them from falling, doing what she could so that Katherine might be able to put out the fire, keeping her eye on her friend as well as the buildings themselves.

In this situation, that was all she could do. Phoebe couldn't risk making any chlorofiends-they'd burn up in seconds. And she didn't want that… once she made them they were alive. And she wouldn't condemn them to a fiery death.

Connor smiled slightly, watching her for a moment before he followed after her, at the moment on the ground, although he was ready to take to the air if required. He watched her, staying at a distance-close enough to cover her but not enough to interfere with her attack.

It was good to see her like this. Confident. Happy. It did his heart good. If any of the people she downed looked like they might cause trouble, Connor diswaded them of such notions.

But kijani seemed to be handling it, easily
Over the next few weeks, I'm going to change things up a bit. Namely... my own cs's... and formatting stuff. Updating the summary, the job board, and more. It will probably be after exams, so after the 27th.
Niesha

Location:Building Seven (rec)

Niesha followed Kristina home, and nodded to her, wishing her goodnight. For a moment, Niesha moved about, tidying up even though it didn’t really need it, before she retreated to her own bed. Despite having been in Newman for some time, Niesha couldn’t shake abilities that had kept her alive, for so long. Like sleeping in her clothes. Which is what she did, climbing under the blanket, and throwing it over her head. She closed her eyes, sighing softly.

As she drifted into deep sleep, Niesha’s mind wove a dream, sending her away, for a time. she paced nervously, hands in her pockets, her right curled around a small object. She almost vibrated with the uneasy energy, seeming to fill her and spill over. She never was good with emotions… and this was something big. Something she never thought of… and suddenly, it as all she ever wanted.

Sophia seemed to understand her, and that… that made things a million times easier. She no longer knew what she would do without her. As time ticked by, Niesha got more and more nervous, and she looked about. She should have been there…

As the scene, so bright previously, changed to one of fear and horror, Niesha run about wildly, looking for Sophia… she had to be there somewhere… didn’t she? Suddenly, it was so much like it had been, that horrid night. Coming onto Sophia’s body…

She tried to turn away, to get away from that scene, she didn’t want to relieve it, but she couldn’t, almost like something was holding her there. She didn’t want to see the injuries… the way Sophia looked, not there… empty. Gone from her forever.

And then the scene changed again…

Peace. Light. Not happiness… but something close, and she looked about. She didn’t know where she was… but she felt safe. Warm. Content. She sighed heavily, sitting down on the floor, not worried about… anything. She looked up at the ceiling, and whispered “I miss you, everyday. I love you… “

But… she needed to live…
.

Niesha rolled over, falling into a deep sleep, beyond dreams. Perhaps the deepest sleep she had had in awhile, clutching her blanket to her.
There were many advantages to Cody’s disability, to his lack of sight, just as there were many disadvantages. One advantage was that his hearing was greatly enhanced-even with his slight ability to see, Cody’s hearing was just as, if not more so, advanced as any deaf persons. This was, quite easily, due to his powers. As was his heightened sense of touch. Whatever it was, it was what saved his life. The whistle of earth coming towards him, the woosh of air on his skin… it all let him move, all let him know where something was coming at him, and Cody engulfed his own body in light, hardening it to make an armor, he mimicked Thy, creating tendrils of light, like whips, to slash out about him.

Even as he prevented himself from being skewered, Cody was moving towards his destination, and yet not once did he make a move against The boy, preferring instead to leave him. He didn’t want to have to kill him… but if he had to… if there really was no other way… he’d have to.

And he knew he wouldn’t be the same person if he did have to do it.

He continued, and he flinched at the scream. “Gerswhin… “ He whispered, hearing her voice in it, and he charged forward, covering distance easily, propelling himself forward using light, making great bounds.

“Gerswhin!”

He shouted, his voice echoing, projecting it in that sometimes magical way he had. He wouldn’t leave Gerswhin… he couldn’t lose her, not after everything. She was perhaps the only one that understood what he’d… they’d been through. He didn’t want to be alone again.

He landed, with a crouch, bowing his head slightly, and breathing hard. He looked up, looking for Gershwin’s light, looking for the steadily familiar Caits. He stood, raised his head.

“Gerswhin!”
