I am still on RPG, so do feel free to message me. Just don't have the time or energy to actually join any RP's right now. Focusing on a LOT of other projects, including getting into Audio Drama.

Mara scooched over in her seat to better see the woman who invited her to talk about the bartenders lack of speed. "Well, the simple explaination is because he is busy." she said. She then took another great inhale of her pipe and held it in, listening to her talk. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss Eyja. "My name is Mara. You may know my shop, the one in Baker Street, the Voodoo Jade Palace. I partake in the oldest profession, exploiting the stupid. Just this morning, I was being berated by some moron that thought a Love-charm would work." she giggled, smoke escaping her mouth and nose as she did "Imagine a love-charm that actually worked." she wiped a tear away. "Every moron that read Harry Potter just laps up any old crap that I cover in glitter." She took another big inhale of the pipe.

It was at this time that the man claimed that he was with The Order, then asked for their help. she slowly let the smoke leak from her nose "Well, I need to go." she said, jumping down from her chair and walking to the door where he was. "Alright, longshanks." she began. It was then that he was lifted up to the ceiling. "Let's hear Longshanks out." she said taking another deep puff from the pipe.
@mattmanganon You post sounds as though they know each other. Do they? Or is Mara just the kind of person who bluntly asks these questions . . . just wondering, here. I don't mind if they know each other since they're in the same trade.

I'll wait for your answer so I can edit my post accordingly.

She just asks things because she is blunt.
So, I know that Burnt Out New York is the starting point, but where are the terminals in New York so Ace can get where the action is?
As the bombed out ruins of the Statue of Liberty smouldered as they had for countless others. The heavens opened, a chorus of angels sang out as, in a flash of light intense light, the man appeared. Stood in bright silver clothing, a set of sunglasses on his face as his perfect brown locks fluttered in the wind. He looked around the bombed out city. "What the hell?" He took his radio out and held it to his lips "Ace to ship, come in ship." he said into it. After a few seconds he pocketed the device again "Wherever I am, she can't hear me, the poor dear is usually tripping over herself to listen to me talk." he sighed. He looked around "Looks like this is a universe where ol' green and blue bought the big one." he sighed. "When will people learn." he shook his head. Although he was rather curious as to how he had actually arrived, his ship hadn't made a jump... He began to walk towards the ruined statue, try to get up high to see if he could get his barings on the landscape.
Ah, sorry, 80, I didn't notice your character had arrived yet...
Mara:

Sat behind the counter of her shop in Baker Street. It was a regular day, almost nobody ever coming in, most people saw the name of the shop and just wrote it off as a place to buy useless junk. But, the more informed would tell you that they also sold slightly less useless junk. The telephone began ringing.

"Alright, you remember the dare." said Adam. Mara, without, looking away from the book that was on the counter that she had been reading, picked up the receiver.

"Voodoo Jade Palace and Taxidermist, you snuff 'em, we stuff 'em." she said. Adam began giggling.

"Excuse me, I bought a love-charm from you the other day... Well, it's not working right. I mean, I asked loads of girls out and they all shut me down. Is there a specific thing i'm supposed to do?" Mara gave a deep exhale.

"Look, sir, check the liability disclaimer on the box." she said. It was a disclaimer that said "May not contain any real voodoo or magic, any subsequent love found after use of this product is purely coincidental."

"Well... Don't you have anything that really works?" Mara looked at Mr Giggles, who was dusting an antique vase. She gave him a look to ask him to kill her now.

"Sir, do you believe in UFO's, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, Clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trans-mediums, the Loch-Ness Monster and the theory of Atlantis?" she asked. The line went dead for a second. Adam gave her the thumbs up for remembering the entire list in order.

"... If I say yes, do I get to join the Ghostbusters?" came the reply.

"No, you get to join the ranks of Britain's mentally disturbed." she then hung up the phone. Adam couldn't contain his laughter any more and began letting out big guffaws.

"OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT TO A PAYING CUSTOMER!!!" He quickly settled down, though.

"Anyway, the answer you're looking for is, yes, yes, no, slightly, yes, yes, no, no, maybe and most definitely." she then went back to her book. At that point, Giggles walked towards her and gave her a note that stated that the meeting time for The Order had been moved up an hour and she now had 30 minutes to get across town. She looked at it, then went back to her book. Giggles then continued to push the note further towards her until she acknowledged it. "Dammit, Mr Giggles, I don't want to go. It's so boring and I already have what I need, at the moment." she motioned to her book. He didn't stop until she finally snatched the note off of him. "Fine, dammit, i'm going. Adam, mind the shop. Giggles, if he tries to get into my magical supplies, don't you dare use the Kunai's again... That taser I bought you should be good enough." she then walked out of the door and grabbed her amulet, transforming into a Kestrel and took off.

After a little while, she eventually landed just in front of the door to the abandoned pub, and when nobody was looking, transformed back into her regular, 10 year old form. She then took her pipe from her hoodie and popped it in her mouth. As she walked in, she struck a match and lit the tobacco inside. Pushing past several larger beings, she walked to the bar and waited for the others to arrive. She looked over at the human member of their group. "So, how's life treating you?" She asked, befor letting a long plume of smoke blast from her nose.
@Mtntopview Just quickly looked up all the properties of a Nuclear warhead detonation. Well, it really depends on what kind of Vampire it is, I mean, if we're talking those crazy Jiangshi (Chinese vampires. The kind where you have to lock lips with the sucker and suck the last breath in its corpse out in order to kill the fucker.) i'd say, maybe not... But, if we are talking about your bog standard vampire that is weak to sunlight, then I would say yes.

When a Nuclear warhead detonates, for the first few seconds of the explosion, the entire area is flooded with infrared, visible and ultraviolet rays. Which are all hallmarks of solar radiation. This effectively turns ground-zero into something resembling the surface of the sun for a few seconds. So, I would say that, by their "Sunlight kills them" rule, I think that would work.

But, ultimately, if their entire body is vaporized, they would also die. They can't spontaneously come back from nothing (Unless, again, it's a Jiangshi, because those things are fucking insane)
Started writing my opening post. Just making sure, I'm not allowed Ace's Dimension-ship, am I? It's just that the opening says that all forms of dimension hopping, except for the terminals, have been cut off.

Or, at least, I would be allowed it, but unable to use it's dimension hopping ability.
So, where would be the best place to jump in that isn't fucking anything up? I mean, if the Inkverse guys aren't doing anything important, then would that be a good place?
