I am still on RPG, so do feel free to message me. Just don't have the time or energy to actually join any RP's right now. Focusing on a LOT of other projects, including getting into Audio Drama.

Computer is broke AGAIN. Dog jumped on me when I had a glass of water in my hand, but some of it leaked in. Posts are going to be slow for the next week.
@Half Pint That's fine, i'm just gonna leave it vague.
Walking past a newspaper dispenser, he looked into it.
"President Cuts The First Ground Of New Subway Route" was the headline and the picture was... Who the heck is that? It's definitely the President, wearing the seal, smiling for the camera, the headline calls him it, but that's not... Him...
I'm gonna be making a few sly references to Bailey having been from Resistance without actually saying it. (Of course, nobody remembers he was in it because he was erased.)
That being said, i'm just writing him going into F.E.A.S.T. to find that he never existed. The natural subject of his father came up in the post and i'm just thinking who his father would be. Probably another red-head, being that MC1R is recessive. Being that Tabitha never really mentions a husband, or anything like that in the comics i've read with her in it, i can only guess that Bailey was the result of a one-night-stand... And in a Cross-Universe like this, only 2 red-heads come to mind that are likely to do it on the first date and never check in again.
So, what i'm saying is that Bailey's father is probably either Wally West or Guy Gardner... Probably Guy...
@Bounce Any chance i might be able to use that as the jumping on point for Shazam? I think fighting a bunch of Fire Ogre's as his first REAL test of power would make sense.
@IAmTheIsland What about a compromise in that case. Leon is the one flying the ship, Hoshi calls him out on not going where she wants to go, she pulls him out of the pilot seat like "Launchpad, you take control." To which our big Himbo Duck does with ALL of the gusto imaginable. Hoshi is giving Leon a dressing down as Launchpad does his thing.
Leon: "YOU NEED TO LET ME BACK AT THE CONTRO-" Hoshi: "NO, YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME, I'M THE ONE WITH THE KEYBLADE AND WE NEED TO GO AFTER ALIAS!" Leon: "No, you don't understand, I NEED to get back in the pilots seat-" Hoshi: "SO YOU CAN TAKE US WHERE YOU WANT TO GO? DON'T JERK ME AROUND!" Leon: "Too late..." *Quickly grabs a seatbelt and buckles in.* Launchpad: "Guys, remind me what an optimal landing speed is!" Hoshi: *turns around to see the ground racing towards them at 12 zillion miles per hour.* "Oh..."
@Half Pint I'm working on my opening post now, who's the current President of the US IC? Pretty much going to have a "Wait, President John Jackson? No, i specifically remember President Jack Johnson! What the heck kinda world is this?" Moment.
@IAmTheIsland Sorry for my lack of activity. So, if we're going to Aristocats world, i'll try to make a post later to push us towards that, or, if you have any other worlds you'd prefer, do let me know.
See, i'm thinking of potential side stories to compliment the main story for Shazam... I'm torn on whether to include Black Adam or not.
On one hand: Next to Sivannah and Mr Mind, definitely the most iconic Shazam villain. Not including him is like not including Venom in a Spider-Man story. Not including him is a bit of a diservice.
On the other hand: Black Adam has always been so popular and had so many solo runs, that, also like Venom, i'm sure someone else can make a good story by himself. So, including him would rob someone else of a good story.
I'll probably mull it over and wait to see if anyone else is interested in him. How do the rest of you feel about that kind of situation in your stories? Characters like Batwoman in Batman, or Venom in Spider-Man, or Deadpool in X-Men or Namor in Fantastic Four?
A B I L I T I E S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ ABILITY -Immunity to Spider-Senses Due to being cut off from the Web of Life, Bailey has no presence in it. Meaning that Spider-beings with the Spider-Sense can not feel his presence. -Fangs A hold-over from his last life, albeit only aesthetic now. Almost vampire like, they used to secrete a powerful neurotoxin, but now simply are a distinguishing feature. -SHAZAM!!! When Bailey calls the word of power, the Armour of the Gods will , fabulous abilities are bestowed upon him as the champion of the gods. The word itself is so powerful, that every letter grants its own power. --S The Wisdom of Solomon. He has instant access to the vast wealth of scholarly knowledge as well as the ability to comprehend and speak in any language known to the gods, including talking with animals, although due to his memories of being a Humanimal, he feels most comfortable talking with Arthropods. He is also able to corolate and extrapolate from data at superhuman levels. --H The Strength of Heracles. He has almost unlimited strength. Capable of lifting over 100 tons over his head with minimal effort. --A The Stamina of Atlas. Like the titan who holds up the heavens, his body processes fatigue toxins at a rate that has yet to be calculated. He can continue to exert maximum effort for days at a time. --Z The Power of Zeus. Capable of controlling electricity, hurling bolts of lightning as well as healing at a vastly accelerated rate. When he calls the word, his body is transformed by magic into that of a perfect adult, his whole body radiates with pure magical power that allows him to conduct and weave magical spells. His body is also incredibly resiliant to damage. Conventional weapons doing little to nothing to him and even super-powered individuals will have trouble damaging his body. --A The Courage of Achilles. His willpower is augmented by his new body, allowing him to analyze and conquer any fear that comes across him. He still feels fear, but he will never let it stop him from doing what's right. --M The Swiftness of Mercury. The only power comprable to his old spider-powers. It gives him reflexes capable of analyzing and dodging incoming dangers at a vastly accelerated rate. It also allows him to both run and fly at speeds unfathomable, without any damage to himself.

S K I L L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ SKILL -Hand-To-Hand combat In the old timeline, he was trained by a number of different beings. The only problem that he has at the moment is that his fighting style involves bending in ways that he is no longer capable of... That being said, his Shazam form has no such problems. But he needs to account for the fact that he's 100x stronger, faster and can fly now. -Tech savy Although not a genius by any standards, he used to hang around with genius' and so a number of tech skills did rub off on him. Thankfully, the Wisdom of Solomon augments this.

T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... T H E S T O R Y S O F A R...
A seemingly normal boy who was born to seemingly normal parents and grew up in a seemingly normal life. Until his father died, leaving his mother unable to support both herself and her son. They moved into F.E.A.S.T. a homeless shelter in Queens, until they could get back on their feet. That time never came, unfortunately. One day, a supervillain attacked by the name of Madame Monstrosity. Taking several of the people at F.E.A.S.T. to be her latest guinea pigs for a mutation experiment. In this, he had his DNA crossed with that of a highly venomous Spider, his mother didn't survive the experiments.
He seemed doomed to be nothing but a footsoldier in the army of Madame Monstrosity until something happened... He had no idea why or how, but somehow the mind control had been broken on him. His will was once again his own and he took every advantage of it. Using his new powers, he fought and defeated Madame Monstrosity and freed those who she experimented on from her Mind Control. Everyone was free. Free to go back to their homes and their families... Except little Bailey... With nobody left to look after him, he took the advice that he had heard from Old Lady Parker who volunteered at F.E.A.S.T. about how, with great power, comes great responsibility. Bailey went back to F.E.A.S.T. and managed to cobble a basic super-suit together that would compliment his powers and set out into the world as "The Amazing Spider-Boy."
During his adventures, he was taught by a number of other heroes how to fight and how to survive. Although he found himself alone regularly. This all came to ahead in one of his adventures, Bailey found himself protecting an old man who some shady government agent type and their goons seemed insistent on capturing. Bailey refused to back down, to bend or to stop his defense of this seemingly helpless old man. Beaten, bloodied and all but dead on his feet, Bailey wouldn't let them just do what they wanted. He had great power and with it came great responsibility.
Elsewhere in the Multiverse, little did either of them know that the Web of Life was under attack by the same forces that had freed him from Madame Monstrosities control. During the attack, Bailey's place in the Web was cut. Instantly, the entire universe ceased to know him. All trace of him erased, all presence of his memory, photo's, records, anything and everything to do with Bailey's life instantly erased. The only one who remembered anything was the old man. Little did any of them know that the old man was a Wizard. An immortal being who watched time and space and sought those who could protect it from those who would damage it.
Remembering the boy, the Wizard sought him out in this new timeline. Unfortunately, not even his infinite sight could find the boy. Eventually he found out about the battle on the Web of Life. The boy had been removed entirely, not just re-written, but deleted. Nobody but he even remembered him. That boy was almost killed saving him from the forces of evil... Taking drastic measures, the Wizard travelled to see The Fates. The 3 sisters who controlled the Loom that wove all that is, was, could or possibly. Making a deal, they took the images from the old mans memory and they wove his image into the loom.
Now Bailey has appeared in this strange world. He is once again alone... Except for the Wizard... The Wizard sees what he is, what he could be and has plans for the boy... But one last test is needed. When the boy hits rock bottom, how will he react?

Bailey is an interesting character who has potential, but i also like the idea of exploring a character who is forced to adapt from one set of powers to a completely different type. Plus, the mystical side of Spider-Man is always an interesting place to explore. Combining that with the always interesting idea of the Old Gods of the world attempting to stay relevant in this new world of Superheroes and The New Gods. All of these elements blend together to create a narrative of a boy who has always found himself at the whims of others and never been given a choice of his own. And even those who are attempting to help him have ulterior motives. Doesn't hurt that i will finally have the opportunity to portray one of my favourite supervillains, silently watching, orchestrating, one who has plans for both the deep magics of the wizard as well as the Web of Life itself.
May take me a few days to get a first post up, i'm busy all through the weekend, as well as IRL drama happening, but i'll try to get an intro up on Monday, maybe Wednesday, because Tuesday's another "Busy all day" thing.
