actually the target of your frustration/anger/what have you isn't "moral ambiguity". It's more like a failure to properly connect emotional ties, which isn't so much a morality thing as it is a psychological thing. The idea that "sometimes bad things need to be done" is a pretty common excuse used for horrific acts that generally result in no objectively good outcomes, but instead fulfill a selfish desire under the guise of something objectively good.
