Why is there so few extroverts?

Introverts tend to frequent the internet more often than extroverts, who feel more comfortable in IRL social situations. Also writers tend to be introverted, so an internet-based writing community is a very skewed sample.

Why not...
wait for it...
Surprise AS a theme?!!!?!

That works too!
silly .gifv, work already
I'll just put down what you all thought I was going to say:

History.

I am shocked and mortified

I've been kicking around a theme idea for a while... but in order to work at all, it would have to be sort of a surprise. The presentation is part of the theme. So..... vote on this for surprise theme!
Well, in any case, let's just call it a July 5th deadline -- put forward what you can, and chip in with suggestions where applicable, and we'll keep improving. Team effort and such.
No, no don't do that, without a immediate deadline I'll never finish!

Wait no screw that,

Please gimme the time; my brain's only giving me fractured pieces to the puzzle known as my entry, along with the 30th being when piles of school work's due in. Typical.

On that note, I think Cosmos is a wonderful idea, maybe just a bit too large? What you could have done is split it in two, one being actually out in space; starwars, startreck and the like, while the other focuses on the mythological side of things.
It might have made a difference, it might not. :)

Those two were suggested by our lovely staff, and I rolled them together. My fault!! It's no sweat though, we're all here to learn what works and what doesn't. "Literally everything in the universe" was apparently not quite focused enough. C'est la vie.
So I'm thinking, to facilitate a few more entries, we can maybe postpone the deadline to the 5th of July (gives people one extra week/end to hammer something out). We'll probably have to tighten up the review period a little bit, but that shouldn't be a big problem (especially if *sniff* @KeyGuyPerson and @Ellri aren't supplying the usual installments). Would this help anyone get something in? I don't wanna do it if we're just wasting TTL time, but if it's legitimately going to open a door for you to enter the contest, then I'll make it happen.

Also, do stop by our theme ideas thread and help us figure out what to do next. Cosmos was my idea and it's flopping a little -- so we need YOUR inputs to do better! Let us know what you wanna see.

To be fair, this isn't a new phenomena at all. They decided abortion, interracial marriage, seggregation, and even whether or not they were entitled to overrule state courts. I think, if anything, the fact that the Supreme Court is at the forefront of so many major decisions now is because the legislature has been too divisive to do much more than make political moves at each other.

And since justices serve for life, and are appointed, we have no say at all. Me no likey. But that's beside the point -- a great thing just happened and this isn't the time to be bumming out. Sorry I brought it up.
I'd argue that the manner in which it was passed -- via the Supreme Court and not the legislature -- is ultimately detrimental to the state of democracy in the US. I mean.... what exactly does Congress exist for? All meaningful government activity in the millennium, from the war in Afghanistan to the legalization of same-sex marriage (and probably marijuana too, soon) is coming from the executive and judicial branches. Mind you -- this predates a republican majority. Everything is happening outside the legislature. What, uh...... doesn't that make us an oligarchy?

BUT, we had bigger fish to fry on this issue. Congrats, dearest homos! can I say that yet? Am I allowed to.... probably not. Congrats, formerly repressed lovers! Yeah that one sounds better.
