@Azure Bubbles Well now that you mention it! Some characters that have to find themselves travelling overseas may find that by some divine intervention there's a plane ticket waiting for them. They do gotta bring their own passports though.

Calista Perry | 26 | Female | Successor of Hera
Sexuality: Bisexual.
Power: Telekinesis & Mind Influence.
Weapon: Sceptre - a beautiful golden sceptre with a glass orb set at the top; it swirls with a glimmering gold liquid.
Appearance: Calista has black, curly hair that is usually tied up, but she occasionally lets it loose, with her curls reaching just past her shoulders. Her eyes are very dark brown, almost black, and she stands at 5'10'', making her a fair bit taller than average. She has a lithe, perhaps deceptive, build, and holds herself with an elegant posture. She has a dark skin tone, and tends to wear a light face of makeup.
Calista typically wears semi formal, elegant outfits, or long, maxi wrap dresses. Often leaning to a more neutral palette, but does on occasion wear a bright pop of colour.

Personality: Calista might be vain and competitive, but she is also intelligent and calm. Cool and collected under pressure, you can always be sure that she will be a rock to lean on, remaining level headed and thinks things through rationally. She has a quiet confidence, not afraid to stand up for herself, and rarely raises her voice. She has an eye for detail and a sharp tongue she will cut you with - but only if you deserve it. Those that try and make real effort earn her approval. Calista does things with a certain elegance, even walking, which can make her seem intimidating to others, and is hard to read. Those she trusts will find she is warmer and brighter than she lets on. She's also steadfastly loyal to those that she's close to, but unforgiving with anyone that breaks her trust.

Short Bio: Calista is from a well-off family, the second oldest of four. She had a good upbringing, born and raised in Manhattan, NYC, but often felt she lived in her older sister's shadow, who is three years older than her. After all, her sister was the one to do things first, and her younger siblings are both boys. When her older sister went to college, with intentions to be a doctor, Calista knew that she would be expected to do something similar or high-profile like a lawyer.

However, Calista found her calling in being a marriage counsellor. Oddly fitting for reasons she did not realise until recently. She is fairly successful, having a high success rate with her clients. These "success rates" include both keeping the marriage intact and thriving, and helping a partner realise their worth and courage to leave their spouse, while keeping things amicable. Of course, it's not always the case, but she loves her job. She is very much a city girl, far preferring it to the outdoors.

Calista ended up Awakening after work, she was finishing up with her last clients. She bid them farewell before locking up her office and
going to her car. As she slid into the driver's seat, the roof of her car dented in with a loud thud as something fell onto it. Suddenly, a winged figure jumped onto the hood of her car and looked at her with beady black eyes. It was a woman with winged appendages: a harpy. This was when Hera intervened and explained everything. Abandoning her car, she used her new sceptre to throw flower vases at the winged woman. When the harpy was injured, she found herself suggesting it to jump into the east river... and it did.

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back here, been real busy and haven't had the chance to get on my laptop.

@Sadie Setting is modern day, at first a little spread out while the characters that are currently not Awakened have their events (Successors that are Awakened can find one of them and help with their fight/event). Afterwards, we'll do a timeskip and have the full group meet one another. I'm currently thinking somewhere open-spaced, like Central Park in NYC or Hyde Park in London.

Sorry for taking a couple of days to reply, I had to take my cat to the vet (he's okay thank goodness!) so been a little stressed.

@tadcfnaf Looks better, just going to reiterate the thing about his machines and being most well known marine biologist. Feel free to PM to discuss though so I can understand your vision for Odysseus a bit better.

For everyone, I'm considering a second character to help round out the crew. I shall see where my muse takes me.
I'll also create the Titan Successor NPCs too, just a name and their weapon/power, so we can refer to them later on.

Lara Kairos

Lara Kairos | 25 | Female | Successor of Persephone
Sexuality: Lesbian.
Power: Necromancy.
Weapon: Lantern - a bronze hurricane/storm lantern that is always lit. The light glows brighter whenever she has sapped someone's health into it.
Appearance: Lara has black, elbow-length hair that is somewhat wavy, and is usually in a half-up half-down ponytail, or a bun of some sort. Her eyes are dark brown in colour, and have a slight almond, cat-like shape to them, usually with dark brown eyeliner to highlight this. She stands at 5'8'', and has an athletic build with a little bit of muscle. She often stands with a relaxed, confident posture. She has an oval face shape, with slightly wider but not prominent cheekbones, and an overall smooth jawline. Lara has a medium olive skin tone, with a few freckles.
Lara typically wears casual outfits outside of work, jeans, halter tops, t-shirts, that sort of thing, and a leather jacket over top. She favours dark jewel tones, like dark greens, purples, and reds.

Personality: Lara is not easy to get along with. She's confident, but also judgy and sarcastic, not quite able to stop her expression from giving away what she thinks without needing to say anything. She does not care what others think of her, and is very independent, finding it difficult to work with others because she likes to just do what she wants to and everyone else just has to catch up and go along with it. Most of it is a defence. No one can hurt her if she keeps them away, after all. When she's not on her high horse (which is... not often), Lara does secretly have a more friendly side to her that wishes for genuine friends, and especially has a kind, gentle heart towards animals. For those that may grow close to, she will be very protective and loyal, and particularly likes to secretly be affectionate.

Short Bio: The eldest of three siblings, Lara has always felt some pressure to be something, to set an example for her siblings to make something of herself and stand out. That sort of thing just didn't quite pan out for her. Nothing that would be considered prolific enough, such as a doctor, lawyer or even an athlete, called to her. She always felt that something was missing, that there was something for her just out of reach and wasn't quite connecting.

During this time, at about 17, she came out to her closest friend, who then turned on her and hurt her. Lara became quite jaded after this - she already was quite so, but this incident hardened her more. If someone that she'd thought was so close to her could no longer be trusted, then it would just be easier to keep other people at arm's length and keep them from forming any sort of connection with her.

However, it was not long after that that she visited Bradgate Park, in the Midlands of the UK. Aside from feeling a little more relaxed in nature, she also encountered several deer. A herd that stared at her, as if they were watching Lara specifically. Something clicked, something just felt right - more so when a couple of the deer slowly approached her, but were scared off by Lara's siblings running up to her and interrupting the moment before they were close enough for her to touch them.

After this, Lara decided that she wanted to study wildlife conservation. A path that was previously never even a thought, but one that felt right, even if she wasn't sure why.
Although she graduated with a first class degree, she has so far been unable to find a job in the field that she's interested in. For now, she's been working in an office as a receptionist, which she hates and has to fake being nice. At least she'll soon be able to take a leave of absence from the office?

@Anciek - Niko is excellent, move him over to the character tab. With that secondary power, I think that could be an interesting addition to support his power, I like it!

@Azure Bubbles - Tyler is accepted, move him over. I like that mention of his new power feeling too personal, and having a future that he never signed up for.

@ShankySpice - Azalea is accepted, move her over. Her hand tiller transforming to her gifted weapon is a great detail.

@shylarah - Maxwell seems great, he can be moved over to the character tab, but just a note that I can't see the image as Imgur is no longer accessible in the UK. Our first non-Awakened character too, I think that'll be interesting to see play out for him.
I'm thinking the roleplay will start about springtime, April-May. Fairly warm for them.

@Athol - Sam is accepted, move her over. That sounds to me like a Titan Successor went after her before her Awakening if I'm not mistaken, we can certainly have mention of recognition when they encounter one another again.

@Pathei Mathos - Giovanni is accepted, move him over. Again, there is one image I can't see because Imgur, but the rest are fine. Another not-Awakened if I'm not mistaken. His family background is a fitting one that I hadn't thought of.

@tadcfnaf - Odysseus looks good so far. A few things to consider first - wouldn't being the most known marine biologist make things awkward when he suddenly disappears off on a quest and/or draw public attention? Being a marine biologist is completely fine and makes sense, but might currently be too high profile? The Successors will have enough to deal with without having the cops and/or the whole world tracking them too lol. And the creation of unspecified machines miight be treading into Hephaestus territory a little, but if there's something specific that he's built/discovered then we can totally discuss.
For his Awakening, I'd love some more detail. The attacker/enemy should ideally be a Greek mythology monster or one of the Titan successors rather than random terrorists. Check out what other people have written for their character's Awakening for some inspiration.
