Letting out a laugh as Jack made obvious wrong guesses, Riley gave a shove against his back gently after he removed her hands from across his eyes.
"I guess I owe you a treat after school then." she boasted. Nodding to both his question and statement, she agreed. She was ready for this year, they were getting so close to graduation and that new found freedom was something Riley had been seeking after for years.
"I wouldn't mind expanding our group a little bit." Riley agreed as arms were wrapped around her tight.
"Amelia!" Riley exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around her best friend in return with a friendly hug. She gave her a wide grin stepping back as both Jack and Amelia greeted one another. It had been a little tense in the group since the two of them had broken up. Riley was thankful they had been friends since then, but the air could be cut with a knife. She hoped that feeling could pass over time.
Glancing over at the other girls that sat next to them, Riley decided it was better now than later to introduce them and branch out to find out who would be joining their group of friends this year. She first set her eyes on a Latina woman who she had never seen before, and then her gaze followed to the girl with pink hair blasting music. Not wanting to interrupt the jam session yet, Riley walked the few steps over to the Latina.
"Are you new here?" Riley asked, a soft smile upon her lips as she looked back to Jack and Amelia urging them to come over and introduce themselves as well. Riley never ate breakfast at school so the cafeteria at this time was strictly for talking with friends and waking up.
