In Avalia 7 yrs ago Forum: Casual Roleplay

@Vaeltaja

Sorry, I kind of overuse the reacts as motivation

Definitely not a problem, my sheet was more of a guideline in the scheme of things.
After reading your character sheet, I am impressed and excited!! You made it definitely possible to have characters related to you in ways, as well as plot lines for your character to come. Sen is definitely approved, and welcomed into The Gardens. Go ahead and place him in your post.

Dionaea Sycamore Twenty Female Fairy

One hundred and three pounds.

HAIR COLOR
A fresh harvest of wheat

EYE COLOR
a daring blue jay

SKIN TONE
A gentle tulip

ATTIRE
Dia loves to dress in elaborate outfits and prefers the natural tones of the flora and fauna that surround her in multiple shades of warmth. She thinks fairy women should be able to wear whatever they want, however they want- but doesn't want to disappoint her family and friends by breaking the traditional values they are built upon. If you don't have your feet exposed to the Earth you are missing out on an important part of life Dia believes, and often has her toes dug into the dirt. She's been experimenting with using dyes to paint her lips, finger nails, and other parts of her body as she grew into a young woman, despite her mother's glaring gaze.

Feisty. Helpful. Stubborn. Childish. Free Spirited. Hot Tempered.
Extroverted. Brave. Selfless. Impatient. Kind. Loyal.

PERSONALITY
Dionaea is young in age but even younger in spirit and heart. Her giggling can be heard at almost any time of the day and is the absolute reason she spent most of her learning years in trouble, that and her pranks and tricks. Despite her silliness she takes her responsibilities very seriously and is always on time for work, and first in line to help someone when they are in need of a hand. However, if she does feel like that person is not giving back their all she will have a problem. She does not take kindly to laziness nor people who betray her trust, and at times these behaviors can turn her quite cruel and down right erratic in her decisions.

At some levels of intelligence Dia is above and beyond. When it comes to her passions she delves into everything she needs to know about the subject and becomes a master of the world, but with things she isn't interested in she can be seen as almost aloof or worst yet brain dead. Her eyes rolling in the back of her head at the tone of something she doesn't want to hear or know. She does her best work when alone, as being in a group tends to get her distracted with conversation.

Tradition. Growth. Curiosity.

OCCUPATION
Insect care and youth instruction.

LOCATION
Dionaea has always lived with a group of forest fairies that have been intermingled between several families for many many generations. The founding families are named after types of trees, but since then other groups have migrated within this area of Avalia.

HISTORY
In the midst of the summer heat a large Venus Fly Trap grew by the roots of a Sycamore tree. It feasted on a few succulent insects before catching the attention of a few eyes “Come quickly, come quickly!” a young man called to his wife, “Our child is soon to be born, for it is known!” he called triumphantly. This would be the birth of the couple’s 15th child, but each we’re more precious than the last (or so Dia’s father told her). The Sycamore family gathered around Camellia with eager eyes as the child was born.

Alas Dionaea had sprouted.

News traveled quickly between families of the new addition to their community. Each founding family was respectfully named after a tree that grew in the forest they resided in. The lineage of the Sycamore wasn’t as expanse as some of the others, but what they lacked in numbers they made up for positivism and knowledge of insects and how they helped Avalia.

Dia was not too fond of learning in the beginning. She was always restless and wanting to explore more of Avalia on her own. “Don’t touch that Dia” her mother would warn as Dia put her hands close to the fangs of a recluse spider. “He’s got something stuck in there ma!” she whined as the spider looked at her in awe with its several eyes. “He’s a trickster, like most arachnids. They will weave you into your web and eat you for supper before you blink an eye!” she exclaimed outrageously, gathering the last of the magical supplies she needed from the spider’s web. “Come along Dia, we don’t want to disturb him anymore.” Dia gave a friendly wave to the spider as she scurried along behind the tough woman.

Reaching adult hood was a much different story. Though she had more freedom, she also had more responsibilities and now had to take care of the younger children and teach them the things she once was taught. “Now.. I don’t know if you guys know this or not.” Dia started leaning in towards the smaller children, they returned the gesture wide eyed, “I wrangled myself an orc once.” Some gasps could be heard in the crowd and one child from the Oak family began sobbing.

This was your typical teaching lesson with Dia in charge.

When a letter came from another fairy kingdom speaking of these creatures "humans" Dia was both interested and angry. The fairies tended to keep to themselves, and not go out beyond the forest let alone found friendships in other races for many many years, so much of Avalia was a mystery to Dia and her people. She wondered why the humans had even bothered to come back; Was it a trap? Was it some sort of trick? The questions fluttered along between the fairies until it was time to make a decision to learn more, and Dia was first to sign up.

Wow! Both lovely character sheets. I'm in awe!

@Fabricant451

Feel free if you'd like to be the leader of one of the established gangs if you so choose!
@TootsiePop

No worries what so ever! I am not starting this for a few days at the least!

In the wake of disaster, humanity has been reduced down to only several thousands, the remaining civilians forced to gather in one spot from across the world to work together for their survival. After decades of struggle, The Gardens: (Baruel) was established. In the absence of an official government, the people inside are ruled by powerful corporations and gangs.

Baruel has two distinct sanctions inside this slice of heaven in the wasteland. The inner most sanction is consisting of the ultra wealthy. This includes the corporate rulers and those allowed in their privileged inner circle. The other sanction is the most populated: these are the fairly oppressed residents of Baruel who serve and dedicate their lives to the higher up corporations who in return provide basic provisions. Some distinct areas of this second sanction are considered the most dangerous and belong to those who are truly uncontrolled and unsupervised. They have their freedom but they must fight daily for their own survival.

This is where your story begins.

You are a resident of Baruel. Where you choose to lay your head at night and with who will be up to you.

Sanction One: Eden
Eden holds the richest and most powerful members of this society. The president of M.A.R.C.O is the most powerful man in the sanction, and overall the entire community within the wall along with his right hand head poacher. Only the most elite live here and they truly thrive here. Drug use in Eden is running rampant, there are several new drugs hitting the market everyday. Some more dangerous than others.

Sanction Two: Korven
Korven is the most populated and overcrowded area of Baruel. Most residents have labor intensive jobs and usually there are more than six people in each household, however not always related to one another. Korven is mainly run by two gangs: The Pure and The Kings. The Kings are a gang who are loud and proud, they run anything flashy and are notorious for their vibrant personalities. The Pure are a bit more stealthy with their doings but just as, if not more deadly. They are a bit eccentric in their religious stand points. They deal with a lot of underground movement of supplies, and even have been known to deal with the people who are hacking off limbs for sale in the slums of Korven. There aren't many people who live there but the people that do are often homeless, dismembered, or even mentally insane. There has been rumor of a group of people that have been hacking off the limbs of people and stealing them for trade. Baby farmers get most of their product from this sanction.

Outside Baruel: Wasteland
Outside of The Garden is considered a wasteland, you will be killed by the elements very soon without food, water, or shelter from the impeding doom. President of M.A.R.C.O has strictly insured people of this. No one knows what lies beyond the walls and no one wants to find out. At least that is what you tell your neighbors.

Rules + Expectations:
𝒟𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝒷𝑒 𝒶 𝒹𝒾𝒸𝓀

- Respect your GM and your fellow roleplayers. Save the drama for your mama.

- There shall be no God modding, one lining, doodle bopping or other things that sound bad.

- Mature themes will be involved but follow the guild guidelines of not being a pervert loudly.

- Please try to post at least a paragraph once every one to two weeks or let us know if you are away from the site.

- If you are away for two weeks without posting and without prior notice to us: your character will be removed completely from the roleplay and you will be not allowed back into the roleplay until a convenient time in the story/chapter or until I am bribed enough with kisses and compliments about my joyous ass. I'm kind of a pushover though, so don't abuse that.

Character Sheet: Welcome to The Gardens!
Please be as creative with your coding as you'd like. I am providing the information for you, but I want to see your character's personality through your own sheet style- not mine. I'd love to see color, images, and real thought put into your character's sheet. Please try to avoid eyesore shades and improper face claims though- I will let you know if that is a problem. Please submit your character to the OOC before placing them in the character tab. Let's try to keep genders even as well as who is in what sanction. Thanks and let's have some good old fashioned gypsy spit in your mouth type fun!
