Uh... Kijani's half-out.
Kijani was so focused on Ben's stilled body that she didn't even respond to the impending attack. The rock hit her square in the temple and she crumpled, dazed and in pain.

Kijani nodded a bit, still thinking. "But what if it's not an actual mist, what if it's... not even liquid? Then what?" Out of the corner of her eye, she saw something coming at her, and she reflexively sliced at it with a sharpened piece of paper. "Oh. Sorry, Flower Girl." Then, Ben caught her attention. He was still lying there. Bleeding. She could smell the blood, coppery and heavy and all wrong... Her vision started to go funny, but she couldn't tear her eyes free of the sight. "Ah. Fearless Leader..." Her voice sounded strange in her own ears. "...he- his... he's... his chest... he's not... breathing..."

Kijani's eyes widened as Anthony mentioned the red mist. "I- I saw it! Before, when I was talking to Connor... I thought it was just my imagination, a trick of the light... but it disappeared, so I didn't mention it." She swore in Mandarin, loud. "Wh- how do we stop what we can't even see?"
Kijani was startled by Sue's hug, but half returned it. Then when the question came, she signed. "Stay alert. We're trying to figure it out."

Kijani nodded. "I was trying to tell Connor." She was whispering as well. "I noticed it myself. I did something... off, during the fight, and I can't remember why I did it, what I was thinking." Her attention was taken up by a noise she didn't recognize. Not Sue's snap, though she did notice it. Something else. "...Uh..." She looked back to Anthony. "...correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Flower Girl over there usually... I dunno, nice?" She frowned, starting to really piece things together. "Something... weird is going on."
O.o I don't know how to follow up a performance like that.
