Jin shook her head, pulling down her hood. The glow dimmed and flickered out from her eyes. "I'm not insulted. It takes more than that to actually piss me off, but that doesn't mean I back up when someone goes chest to chest with me." She looked at his hands, then his ears, trying not to feel nervous about the ice. "Calm down, Frosty. If I was actually mad, then you would be on the ground bleeding." With a faint smile, she gave him a punch in the shoulder. Nothing at all aggressive, to her it was the same as a pat on the back.
"Oh, and I'm not a madam or a ma'am, soo... cut that out."
*taps mike* Is this thing on? *whiny feedback* Augh...
Jin turned her head to the newcomer, and her grin widened a bit more. In a soft, mocking tone, she spoke to him. "What know you of grammar, Sir Snotty?" She folded her arms, not putting her hood down. Her eyes started to glow with a faint, silvery light, giving her face an eerie cast. "I know plenty of tactics. But I also know that the best way to train is to make it as real as possible. When you're in a real fight, when it's your blood or someone else's, you can't think about form. You can't think about remembering the steps, how to throw a punch. You move, you act, and you hope to hell that you win." Her eyes narrowed to silver slits. "Don't dare talk to me about what I know."
Kijani heard Connor step back in, and the warmth of the blankets covering her. His weight hit the bed. She heard what he said, that she never had to be sorry. Her chest hurt- she was holding her breath, trying to hold back the urge to weep. How could he possibly say something like that? How could he give her such an open lie, saying she should never be sorry, when he didn't know half of what went through her head? If he knew who she was deep down, he wouldn't say so. She knew that, she knew it- once people figured out what she wasn't, they'd be gone...
Kijani held still and tried to fake sleeping until the sleeping pill kicked in. It was quick on an empty stomach, and she dropped into unconscious dark.

Devika got off the wall once class was over, and made it quickly to the cafeteria. She got her food before the place filled up, and quickly headed outside. Her head was buzzing just from that, and the cafeteria had hardly been full. Today would be a headache day, she knew. Too many people, too many emotions. Too much.

Jin blinked she bumped someone, and moved to get around them without a word. She was startled when she was touched, and the very tall guy started to speak to her. She didn't know him, but she knew the accent in his voice. The brisk way he talked...
"...You want to train with me?" Her face was still shadowed, but a grin flickered across her lips. "I hope you know I don't fight for fun. In fact, I think you might know better than anyone else. You don't puss out if I bloody your nose, will you?" It wasn't a threat, or anything said in anger. Not to Jin. It was merely a stating of facts: blood happened in fights, and there was no sense in training if you weren't going to be real about it.

I would like to bring Jin back in... Or at least put her somewhere that other people are free to interact her.
